Josh insisted that he take Tyler back to Brendon's. Everybody was worried sick about him. Tyler refused and sent Brendon a text that he was fine and that he was talking things over with Josh.

Tyler went home with Josh. Sky was excited to see her two dads walk through the door. She barked excitedly and sniffed Josh, wondering where he had been and why he took all his stuff away.

Tyler picked up the puppy and carried her into the living room. He sat Sky on his lap while Josh sat next to him on the couch.

"Go ahead," Tyler said.

"What?"

"Explain."

Josh took a deep breath. He racked his brain for anything to say. Anything. But he just didn't have an explanation.

"I can't," Josh managed to choke out.

"I figured," Tyler mumbled and rolled his eyes.

"J-Just know that I really am sorry, Ty. I will never do it again. I never want to taste a drop of alcohol ever again."

"Josh..." Tyler said sadly, petting between Sky's ears.

"I-I don't know what to say. You hurt me. You promised. You lied. How am I supposed to feel? Am I supposed to forgive you? Are we supposed to get back together like it never happened?"

"I don't know, Ty... That's why we're talking."

"Josh, I love you. I do. With my whole heart."

"I love you too."

"But I think it's just best for us to go separate ways."

"For ever?"

Tyler shrugged. "Not sure."

Josh felt his heart crumble to pieces. He looked down at his lap. He ruined his chances with Tyler, he knew it. Tyler didn't want to be with him anymore. Josh ruined everything.

Tyler watched Josh, blinking rapidly to keep his tears at bay. He wished he could've been enough for Josh. He wished he didn't have to make this decision. He just wished things could be normal again.

Josh pulled Tyler in for an embrace. Tyler gladly hugged onto Josh. He didn't want to let go. He never wanted to let go. He didn't want Josh to go. However, he knew he needed time to clear his head. He needed time to heal.

Josh let go of Tyler some time later. He looked down at Sky and kissed her between her eyes. He ruffled her fur and stood up. Tyler did the same, making Sky jump off his lap.

Tyler and Josh stared at each other for a second.

"Well, I better get going."

Tyler grabbed Josh's head. He pulled him in for a kiss that was all too short. He was trying to savor it. He wanted to remember how Josh's lips felt against his. God, was he going to miss Josh.

"See you around, Joshy."

Josh nodded sadly and exited without another word. He started his truck and began his drive home. All the way, his only thought was;

"I hope Tyler finds his way back to me."

THE END!!!! Sorry that it was SO sucky and sad but not all stories have happy endings :)

This story did have a sequel but I deleted it because it was crappy and rushed. Besides, I like this ending a lot better.
