Tyler ran back to the spot where Josh would be looking for him. He hid in the tree line and stared out into the clearing. Tyler didn't know if he should feel happy or upset. He wasn't sure what was going on in his brain anymore. All he knew was that he wanted the pain to go away.

Tyler was silent in the trees, standing cowardly. He was afraid of what would happen when Josh found him. He was overthinking everything. Would Josh try to kiss him? Would Tyler kiss back? He had no clue. He absentmindedly picked at a tree's bark until he saw purple hair run into the clearing. The sun was starting to set.

"TYLER?!" Josh yelled.

Tyler stayed silent.

"Tyler, are you here? Please answer me!"

Silence.

Josh yelled in frustration and grabbed fistfuls of his own hair. He didn't realize he was crying until the salty liquid hit his lips. And when he realized, he finally let it all out.

Josh kneeled down on the ground, punching the wet grass repeatedly. He cried and yelled and let all his anger out on the earth. He thought he'd lost Tyler.

Tyler, however, was sadly watching from behind one of his old friends. The trees kept him hidden, the sky beginning to fall dark. Now he really didn't know if he wanted to go out there. Especially not after seeing Josh like that.

Tyler watched Josh's shadow stand up. His heart leaped in his chest. Josh turned around.

He began to walk away.

Without a second thought, Tyler sprinted away from his hiding spot. He stood out in the open, Josh's back to him. Should he call out? Or simply say nothing?

"Josh."

The man turned around.

"Tyler?"

"Yeah..."

Josh ran at the younger. He tackled him to the ground in a bear hug. It kind of reminded Tyler of when they first met. Tyler clung to Josh. The two were crying into each other. Josh was happy Tyler was alive. Tyler was crying because he didn't know what was going to happen next. He felt so stressed and anxious.

But he didn't have to think about it when Josh's lips pressed against his. He instinctively kissed back. In that moment, he wasn't worried about what was going to happen next. He wasn't worried about the future. He was focused on now. He was focused on kissing the man he so desperately missed. He even managed to push away the thought of another girl on Josh's lips.

The two parted, faces wet with tears. They looked at each other for a long, long time.

"Can we talk?"

"Not now," Tyler shook his head.

"Why not?"

"I don't want to ruin this."

"Ruin what?"

"This moment."

Josh understood. He reached out for Tyler's hands, softly holding them in his lap. Josh knew Tyler still loved him. But he also knew that didn't mean he necessarily wanted to be with him.

"Ty-"

"Shhh."

"What?"

"Look up."

Josh glanced up at the dark sky. The moon shone bright, along with a single glowing star.

"Star light, star bright. The first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, get this wish I wish tonight," Tyler recited. He looked at Josh quickly before he shut his eyes right.

"I wish things could go back to the way they used to."

Josh also made a wish.

"I wish for Tyler to find his way back to me. If not now, then in the future."

Tyler stood up and Josh followed. The two walked out of the forest together. Both wanted to grab the others hand, but both were too much afraid to.
