A knock sounded throughout Tyler's house and he rushed over to the door. Josh was standing on the other side, dressed in a red t-shirt, black skinnies, and a snapback which he was wearing backwards. Tyler placed a pair of sunglasses over his eyes as he walked with Josh out to his car.

"Which ice cream place are we going to?" Tyler asked as he buckled up.

"My favorite," Josh responded as he began to drive them away from Tyler's house.

Tyler couldn't help but stare at Josh practically the whole ride there. He was admiring his tattoo, his hair, his face. Everything about the older boy was breathtaking to Tyler.

Josh knew Tyler was staring at him. However, he pretended he didn't notice, hoping the red tint on his cheeks wasn't obvious.

They arrived at a place called The Frozen Spoon about fifteen minutes later. Tyler was practically bouncing in his seat because this was his favorite ice cream parlor, too.

"Excited?" Josh chuckled, watching Tyler.

"This is my favorite too!"

"Wow, we're practically soulmates already," Josh joked, causing Tyler to let out a short giggle. Josh swore his heart was going to explode.

"Stay here," Josh ordered. He got out of his car and walked around to the passenger side, opening the door for the brunette.

"Thanks Joshy," Tyler blushed.

The two walked inside the parlor. Both wanted to grab the others hand, but both were too much afraid to.

"What will it be?" the boy behind the counter asked.

"You first," Josh whispered to Tyler.

"Medium strawberry cheesecake cone."

"I'll have a medium cookies and cream cone."

"Is that all?" the boy asked.

Josh nodded and paid for both of their ice creams. They waited patiently before going to sit outside at a cute, pale pink table with matching chairs.

The two ate their ice cream in silence, enjoying each other's company. Tyler was thankful he had on dark sunglasses so he could stare at Josh all he wanted.

Josh, on the other hand, couldn't care less if Tyler knew he was staring. Tyler, Josh decided, was far too perfect to not stare at. The way the yellow sunshine casted a warm glow over the younger's face. The way Tyler's little pink tongue quickly lapped around the cone so it didn't drip on him. The way Josh just knew that Tyler was staring back, judging by the light blush dusted across his cheeks. Everything about this moment made Josh want to just kiss Tyler right then and there. But no, he decided, not so soon.

Tyler watched Josh admire him. It made him feel so good knowing that the person he liked, liked him back. He wondered what Josh was thinking about, but decided it wasn't really that important because if Josh wanted to talk, he would.

Josh finished his cone first, Tyler finishing not too long after. The purple-haired man grabbed a napkin and wiped the ice cream from around Tyler's mouth. Tyler thanked him before returning the favor.

"You're so beautiful," Josh murmured, reaching across the table to hold Tyler's hands. They were little compared to Josh's.

"Oh, whatever," Tyler blew off the compliment but it made him warm inside. He always got warm whenever Josh said something nice about him.

"You don't have to pretend you don't like me like that," Josh said, slightly annoyed.

"Why not?"

"It's bratty, and pointless. It's not going to make me like you any less. It's not going to frustrate me so much that I leave. And it certainly isn't going to make me want you any more than I already do."

"Oh..." Tyler responded, unsure of what to say.

"Yeah, I get that you're a brat, but you don't have to be a brat about liking me," Josh continued, raising his eyebrows at Tyler.

"Okay, dad," Tyler rolled his eyes, knowing what Josh's response would be.

"Still into that, but I'd prefer daddy."

"Oh, shut up," Tyler laughed. Josh laughed back, his tongue captured between his teeth.

"How can he look so good when he's laughing?" Tyler thought, annoyed.

"How can he look so good all the time?"

"Ty?" Josh asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Yes?" Tyler hummed in response.

"What're you thinking?"

"That it's unfair."

"What's unfair?" Josh chuckled.

"That you look so good all the time."

"You're too sweet," Josh smiled as he brought Tyler's long fingers up to his lips. He kissed them gently before lowering them. Tyler blushed at the action, nervously chewing on his bottom lip.

"Something wrong, Ty?"

Tyler shook his head.

"You sure?"

"Yeah, I've just never felt so light before."

"Light?"

"Like I could fly away," Tyler nodded in response.

Josh only smirked. "You might just be in love with me, Tyler Joseph."

"What? No I'm not. We haven't even known each other that long and-"

"Tyler," Josh interrupted.

"What?"

"Have you never heard of love at first sight?"
