Chapter 1

Key: italics- snake speak

"Are you sure that it's the same thing that happened to the Midoriya family, Ryukyu?" Tsukauchi asked the Pro Hero.

"Same death," Ryukyu replied. "No poisons, no signs of organ failure, it's like they just dropped dead."

"Well, here's the coroner's report," Tsukauchi said, handing a file to the Pro Hero.

"It says that the optical nerves were severely damaged along with the visual cortex of the brain," Ryukyu said. "But how could that cause death? It should make them go blind."

The hero then continued reading and as she read, her eyes widened.

"The brain was fried?" the hero asked herself. "How is that possible?"

"I don't know," Tsukauchi replied. "It might be some kind of Quirk that hasn't been seen yet."

"I have a feeling that we are going to find out soon," Ryukyu said as she put the file back on Tsukauchi's desk.

Downtown Tokyo; A few hours later

A snake slithers through a pipeline before exiting into an open area where a smaller snake was sleeping, before waking up and seeing the big snake and then turning into a little girl all before shouting, "Papa!"

The snake then transforms into an 18 year old male with long, curly hair that reaches to the bottom of his neck. Wearing a pair of pants and a short, sleeved short. His eyes were shining emeralds. The girl had long white hair, with ruby red eyes with a single slit in the place of a pupil. She was wearing a red sundress.

"Hello snakeling."

"Did you get him, Papa?" the child asked, as if she understood the young adult.

"Yes," the young adult replied, his emerald green eyes shining. "I also brought more food. Eat up, for we will be moving again in a few days. To keep the heroes off our tails."

The child said nothing, so the young adult asked, "What is wrong snakeling?"

"I don't like this, Papa. Moving around so often."

The young adult sighed and said, "I know, but we must keep moving. Our quirks, to other people out there, is a villain's Quirk. You know that I am the only one who can look into your eyes without dying. Just like you can look into mine. I already have blood on my hands, Eri. I don't want you to have blood on your own. That is why we move so often. So you won't have to live with the guilt of having blood on your hands."

The child, now known as Eri, nodded and said, "I understand Papa."

The young adult nodded and said, "Good. Now eat up. I will check around the pipes nearby to see if anyone has been down here recently. Stay here and if you see someone, turn into your snake form and hide. Understand?"

Eri nodded and went to eat as her father turned into his snake form and slithered into a pipe.

Two days later; 6:00 o'clock AM

"So a creature was sighted in Tokyo two days ago?" Ryukyu asked as she talked to Tsukauchi on the phone in her office.

"Yes ma'am," Tsukauchi replied. "From how it was described, it appeared to be a giant, green snake."

Ryukyu got up from her chair and said, "Gather up the officers that you want to bring. I'll gather some of my sidekicks and we'll go down there and see if there is anything out of the ordinary there."

"Alright," Tsukauchi said as he hung up and Ryukyu sighed and looked at a picture of a woman with long green hair and bright green eyes, while holding a sleeping baby with dark green curly hair before saying, "I wish I knew where you were, Izuku... I failed you my oikko (nephew)."

"Um... Ryukyu-sensei?"

"Yes Uravity?"

"There was an attack in Tokyo a few hours ago," Uravity said. "Someone was paralysed and the doctors aren't sure when they'll wake up."

"Thank you for the report, Uravity," Ryukyu replied. "Get the others ready. We will be going to Tokyo in a few hours to find this villain and bring him to justice."

"Should I gather the ones that are joining us?" Uravity asked.

"No," Ryukyu replied, bringing out a file. "Let Nejirechan handle that. I have a more important thing for you."

"What is it?"

"I need you to look into the Midoriya family and see if there are any snake-like quirks or quirks that are active in the eye," Ryukyu replied.

"Why?"

"Because I believe that my nephew is still alive," Ryukyu said.
