Chapter 2

Nice Wolfie

"We should be in Colorado by now." Cadey stated. We slowed to a stop still in some woods. "Lets find a small town and grab a bite to eat and place to sleep." I suggested. She smiled and nodded quickly.

A few minutes later we arrived in a small town, I think called Franktown? It wasn't to small but not to big.

"There's a small diner over there." Cadey said pointing to the other side of the road. I nodded as we started walking towards the Diner.

It was called Jacks and Louis. It was a bit run down but had a homey vibe to it. I opened the door hearing the little bell ring a bit. Peoples heads snapped our way as we found ourselves a table and sat down.

"Do they have to stare?" Cadey asked looking a bit uncomfortable. "Well I don't blame them you are mighty fine looking young ladies." Our heads snapped towards the young waiter smirking at us.

He was cute but his cockiness was a turn off. He had light blonde hair with brown eyes. He was built but he was human. His name tag read 'Derek.'

He winked at me and I rolled my eyes but smiled. Maybe if I played my cards right we could get a discount.

Damsel in distressed mode activated.

"Hmm... we don't have enough money for food so I guess we'll just get a drink right, Carla?" I asked Cadey as I winked at her. Her face lit up getting my plan.

"Oh no, you're right Dawn" She gasped. We had decided on fake names earlier just in case. I looked at the guy who's eyes shined with an idea. "I'll have a Dr.pepper " I sighed.

He nodded "I have an idea." I know you do Derek. He states with a huge smirk on his lips. The smirked I so desperately wanted to slap off.

"Which is?" Cadey pushed raising an eyebrow.  "I get your numbers and the food is on the house." Cadey and I looked at each other and nodded.

"Okay " We said at the exact time batting our eyelashes. He smirked and took our orders. I ordered as much as I could but Cadey being the nice girl just got something small.

When he came back with our food he also came with pen and paper.  I write two fake  numbers and hand it to him with a flirty smile. He winked and walked off.

We finished our food quietly and leave. It was dark out and by the clock on a church told us it was 10:00 pm.

"Lets go find a place to sleep." Cadey stated. I nodded and we started walking. "lets go to a motel." I suggested as we walked towards a motel. She nodded as we walked in.

I went to the front desk and got the cheapest room. "Lets go" I said to Cadey. We walked to the elevator and got in. "Early in the morning we'll go to a gas station and get food and run to Oklahoma from here okay? " I asked. She nodded looking exhausted. 

We finally found our room and walked into the one bed room motel. I didn't mind sharing a bed she was my best friend any way.

No words were spoken as we got into bed and fell asleep.

I woke up to water running and turned and saw Cadey wasn't in bed so she must be in the shower.

I get up stretching, my gosh that bed was like a rock. Cadey then comes out dressed and ready "Ahh, I haven't had shower in for ever!" She says shaking her head. I laugh as I go take one myself.

After showering and leaving the hotel its around 6:13 in the morning. Walking into a Shells gas station we grab a snack and leave."Mmm food," I moaned. Cadey laughed, and I mean throw your back laughing and clapping like a mentally ill seal.

She's easily amused.

"I'm not that funny," I say giving her an odd look while smiling. She shrugs "Yeah you are. Its your facial expression." I roll my eyes but say nothing in return.

We throw our trash away and head towards the woods. "Ready?" I ask as we enter the woods. She nods and we take off full speed me being slightly faster than her.

Not even an hour into the run and I feel someone's eyes on me. I stop to investigate this feeling. Cadey stopping right after me.

Then suddenly, snap!

I'll be honest I jumped.

Cadey's and I's head snap to the sound, just in time for a wolf to jump out. We both step back as the wolf growls. I could tell it was a werewolf.

"Nice wolf," I say gently. I hadn't even realized we had gone on a packs territory. The wolf was obviously a regular pack wolf by its built. "Well, well a couple of rogues, eh?" A man stepped out from behind the trees. He had no shirt on but a pair of shorts that hung low. He was good looking, brown hair blue eyes.

Beta.

I could feel the power rolling of him steadily. "If you are not a werewolf does that still make you a rogue?" I asked, even though I already knew the answer.

Yes.

I was a rogue even though I was a fang and not a werewolf. He growled while I just smirked. "Why the hell are you trespassing?" He asked looking from me to Cadey and back to me. 

I rolled my eyes. "Look we didn't know okay? Now if you don't mind we will be on our way." I said turning about to walk away along with Cadey.

"Not so fast rogue " I rolled my eyes and faced him. The wolf growled and got in a position to attack. Cadey extended her fangs and hissed at him. Which I must say was pretty loud.

The beta growled. I rolled my eyes, something I seem to be doing a lot. "What pack is this anyway?" I asked. The beta looked at me. "Blue Moon Pack. I'm the Beta, Mase." I smirked. Good this pack isn't the strongest. They lack balance.

My fangs are always out but they are the size of a vampires, when I let them grow they are longer. I let my fangs come out to their full length as I hissd at them. I winked at the Beta. I looked at Cadey and nodded as she lunged at the wolf.

I went towards the Beta. The beta and I circled each other. I started picking out his weakness . He was a bit uncoordinated. He was still in human form when he lunged. I side stepped him while kicking him in the side when he passed. "Don't kill'em just knock them out " I said towards Cadey. I heard a grunt in response. I turned and saw Cadey rolling around with a ball of fur. Humorous sight I must say.

I looked back at the beta to see he had his claws and canines out.  He growled while I stuck my tongue out at him.  He rolled his eyes then lunged at me again. " We need to speed this up they might be getting back up " I grunted in response. I grabbed the beta by the neck when he lunged at me. I smiled showing my fangs and bit him in the neck. He struggled awfully a lot. He then stopped.  I let my fangs out and let him drop to the ground. No he wasn't dead just paralyzed. I looked at Cadey and saw she took enough blood to make him pass out. " Lets go" I said. She nodded  wiping the blood from her mouth and we took off.
