Rachel berry was driving home from school but the traffic was horrendous she wondered what had happened it had to be an accident go cause such bad amount of traffic.

As she turned a corner she saw police and ambulances and the fire brigade and a lot of people stood arou d which told her she was right they had been an accident.

She pulled her car to the side of the road and got out as the road was closed and there was so many cars behind her she wouldn't be able to turn around.

As she got out of her car she couldn't help the shiver she felt knowing that so done was hurt given the number of ambulances at the scene.

She moved through the crowd to see what had happened and then wished she hadn't.

She saw a car had left the road and had gone into the lake and was almost all submerged but the worse thing was she could see the licence plat it was her dad leroy's car.

She didn't know what to do she just stood there frozen in shock and fear.

" rachel" a voice said she didn't answer she couldn't because she couldn't take her eyes off the car.

" rachel" the voice said again.

" do you know the person" the voice said she nodded and suddenly felt arms wrap around her it was then she tuck her eyes off the car. She looked down as tears started to pour she needed to know if her dad was ok but was scared to find out incase he wasnt. It was as she looked down she saw the arms around her navy with red piping.

" who is it" the dalton boy holding her asked.

" my dad" she said shaking.

" skylar" she heard some one say. She now knew it had being Skylar smythe who had held her.

" seb its get dad" Skylar said Skylar let go and Rachel felt a different set of arms wrap around her.

" he is alive Rachel I saw him taken away in an ambulance I didn't know he was your dad but he was talking so that's a good sign" sebastian said.

" Skylar go get my jacket out of my trunk she is freezing" sebastian said to his brother.

" do you want me to call blaine" sebastian asked her she nodded.

Skylar returned with sebastian's jacket which he placed around her.

" right sky hold her a minute I'm gonna go find out which hospital he is being taken too" sebastian said Rachel was still in complete shock.

" I know this might be inappropriate Rachel as I wish the situation was different but I have wanted to meet you since I arrived at dalton sebastian will not shut up about you." Skylar said.

" I have wondered what sebastian's brother was like" Rachel said as she started thinking more clearly.

" yeah alot of people seemed unnerved that he had a brother but dont worry I am in no way as confident as he is" Skylar said Rachel knew he was trying to distract her from looking at the car which was now sinking.

Sebastian arrived back.

" he is at westerville general I told the police your his daughter they said you have a choice you can go in a police car to the hospital or they will escort my car it's up to you" sebastian said.

" your car" Rachel said he nodded and he moved towards her Skylar released her and sebastian arm around her lead her through the crowd to his car.

A police man saw them and started clearing people out of the way.

" do you want me to drive" Skylar asked sebastian he mush of nodded because Rachel didn't hear his reply but sebastian got in the back of the car with her as Skylar got in the front.

" thank you" Rachel said.

" no need Rachel um what about your other dad do you want me to call him for you" sebastian asked.

" he left us two months ago he found someone else we haven't seen or heard from him since" Rachel said.

" I rang Blaine after I spoke to the police and was walking back to you he is meeting you at the hospital" sebastian said she nodded.

" what happened" Rachel said out loud.

" a drunken  driver was speeding your dad moved out of the way but a car hit his car and sent him into the lake" sebastian said.

"Oh my" Rachel said breaking down sebastian tightened his arm around her.

Finally they arrived at the hospital and both brothers walked her inside and to the reception.

" Leroy berry this is daughter Rachel" Skylar said sebastian was stood holding her.

" last door on the left" the lady said.

" family only" she added. Rachel tensed up.

" we are" both boys said at the same time before leading her to the room.

" Rachel do you want me to go in first so that  can tell you what your going to see" sebastian asked she shook her head.

" he always told me to be brave" Rachel said moving towards the door.

She reached for the handle and froze then turned to face the smythe brothers.

" will you come in with me" she asked looking at sebastian.

" ofcourse" he said and she opened the door and walked in her dad was laid in bed he was sleeping machines were bleeping but he looked peaceful.

" Blaine will be here soon" sebastian said.

" daddy" Rachel said as she tuck hold of Leroy's hand.

A doctor walked in sebastian moved towards her and put an arm around her.

" miss berry your father as been very lucky while he has a concussion and has swallowed some dirty water from the lake other than that it's just bruises. He will be fine but he will be in here a few days because he as an infection from the water" the doctor said.

Rachel felt a feeling of relief that she had never felt before.

The doctor left.

" good news" sebastian said.

" yeah" Rachel said as Blaine arrived.

" oh rach" Blaine said hugging her.

" where is kurt" sebastian asked.

" I told him to stay home" Blaine said Rachel was pleased because kurt would have stressed her out in a situation like this.

" do you want to come to mine" Blaine asked her.

" I want to sit with him for a while" Rachel said.

" Rachel is staying at mine tonight" sebastian said Rachel looked at him.

" what" she said.

" my mom was going to pick sky and me up if we walk a few blocks from the accident as my car was stuck in traffic. I messaged her saying not to because I had discovered it was your dad. She told me when I told her we were taking you to the hospital that she was making the guest bed for you" sebastian said.

" oh" Rachel said.

" Blaine will you do me a favour" sebastian asked.

" sure" Blaine said.

" will you take Skylar to get Rachel's car so he can drive it to our house I will drive Rachel when she is ready" sebastian said Blaine nodded and hugged Rachel once more.

" your mom doesnt need to do that for me" Rachel said.

" your in shock your not going home alone" sebastian said she nodded and turned to look at her dad.

Rachel didn't know how long she was stood there watching her dad until the door of the room opened and a policeman walked in.

" miss berry I'm officer Johnson I'm here to tell you that we have arrested the man responsible for this and to give you this card with numbers on it that you might like to ring if you have any questions" the officer said Rachel nodded and took the card from him.

" I dont want to rush you but I think we should go now he is asleep he will be drugged up because of his concussion I promise I will bring you to him early tomorrow morning or if they call to say he is awake. You look exhausted he is your dad he would want you to look after yourself" sebastian said Rachel kissed her dad on his forehead.

They left the hospital room sebastian had is his arm around as they walked to the exit.

" you stay here I will bring my car " sebastian said.

Rachel waited there for him he was back with the car with a minute or two.

They were  both silent as he drove to his house.

Once they arrived Rachel realised she didn't have anything with her like her toothbrush or pjs.

Sebastian let them both into the house the house was unbelievable it was stunning.

" mom" sebastian called out and  moment later a lady with a warm smile and kind eyes appeared sebastian looked alot like her.

" hello Rachel im Maggie I am so sorry about your dad I have made some soup to warm you up you must be in shock" she said.

" thank you" Rachel said feeling emotional she wasnt used to people being so nice to her.

" no trouble oh your car is in the garage and now I will go get you some soup you too seb" Maggie said.

Sebastian lead Rachel to the kitchen which was huge there was a large island in the middle which had stools around it. Sebastian pulled out a stool for her.

They both sat and ate some soup it was delicious and was warming Rachel up. It was only as she finished her soup she realised she still had sebastian's jacket around her.

" thank you for this" Rachel said taking the jacket off and handing it to him.

" your welcome I will show you to your room" he said Rachel followed him through the house and when he showed her the guest room she couldn't believe it. It was almost as big as her house.

" you need to rest you gave had such a shock" sebastian said Rachel nodded but felt sad.

" dumb question but are you alright" he asked.

"Its just when I will be in bed I will be alone with my thoughts worries about my dad. Anger at my other dad because he isn't here now" Rachel said.

" tonight you have seen a different side to haven't you" he asked.

" yeah" Rachel said wondering why he had asked that.

"Well now you know I'm really not that bad do you want me to stay with tonight. Completely innocently ofcourse I will just be here with you" he said.

" would you" she asked.

" ofcourse I will be back in a moment" he said leaving the room Rachel noticed Maggie had placed several items on the bed including a nighty and a toothbrush.

Rachel went into the ensuite and changed for bed and brushed her teeth.when she left the bedroom sebastian was already back.

" I know my mom gave you a nighty but I know you are feeling cold" he said handing her a hoodie of his which she gratefully took and put on over her nighty.

They got into bed and as Rachel laid there she thought of her dad laid in the hospital and how it could have been so much worse. She felt tears trickle down her face and sebastian's arm wrap around her.

" it's ok he is going to be ok " he said soft

The next morning sebastian like he promised drove her back to the hospital and she was pleased to see her dad was awake and sat up.

" daddy" she said running to hug him.

" hello sweetie and who is this" Leroy asked looking at sebastian.

"Daddy this is sebastian he looked after me last night brought me to you last night but you were sleeping " Rachel said.

" thank you sebastian for looking after her" Leroy said.

" no need to thank me" sebastian said.

" there is no need to worry rach I will be back home in a few days and thank you again  sebastian it's nice knowing my princess is being looked after" Leroy said smiling at sebastian.

" goodlooking isn't he" Leroy said to her.

Rachel didn't know what to say.

" thank you" sebastian said.

" Mr berry" he added a moment later.

" yes" Leroy said.

" would it be ok if I tuck Rachel on a date tonight" sebastian said Rachel was shocked and looked at him.

" your asking me" Leroy said with a smile.

" you raised Rachel to be classy I think it's only fair I ask for your permission" sebastian said.

" ofcourse you gave my permission" Leroy said Rachel was still stunned.

" never mind me rach I'm fine go spend time with him" Leroy said.

Rachel kissed her dad goodbye and left the hospital room.

" Rachel I know you seem surprised by me  asking him that but the fact is last night when I saw you looking so scared I wanted to do anything and everything I could to take care of you.plus even though I know the circumstances weren't great I really have enjoyed spending time with you. So can I take you to dinner" he said.

" yes but there is something I need to do first" she said

" ok" he said she moved towards hi and stood on her tiptoes. He knew what she was going to do and made it easier by bending lightly so their lips could meet and they stood there kissing for the longest time.

Despite the events of last night been awful it had resulted in something amazing happening.

Rachel knew that last night she had seen the real sebastian and also realised she liked her for being herself. She knew in her heart this was the start of something special.
