Rachel berry was driving down a street in westerville when her car started to make funny noises before stopping all together.

" oh no" Rachel said as it was snowing heavy and her phone battery had died several minutes earlier.

She tuck the keys and grabbed her purse and got out of the car.

She set off walking there was no way she could walk home in this she knew it would be crazy to attempt that. The only place she knew in westerville was dalton academy.

So she set off walking but the weather just got worse and worse. In the end she had walked down a street and saw there was one last house she was completely lost. She knew she was going to have to ask for help.

So she made her way down the long driveway the house was huge.

She was freezing her teeth were chattering and her fingers and toes were numb, finally she reached the front door and rang the bell.

A moment later the door opened and she saw an adorable looking young girl.

" hello" Rachel said through her chattering teeth.

" hello..." the little girl said Rachel thought she must be about four.

" Sofia what have I told you about opening the door" a voice said and Rachel saw an older girl f about ten appear behind her.

" are your parents home" she asked shivering.

" come in" the older girl said Rachel moved inside quickly the house was lovely and warm.

" I'm shania " the elder girl said.

" I'm Rachel... my car broke down... are you parents home" she said both girls shuck their heads.

" our older brother is watching us he is making dinner" shania said.

" can I speak to him" Rachel asked not wanting to intrude.

" yeah come on through" shania said Rachel was surprised as Sofia tuck hold of her hand but released it as her hands were so cold but Sofia simply pulled her sleeve over her own hand and tuck hold of her hand again. As Rachel followed shania.

" why does coming have to be so difficult" she heard a voice say as the reached the kitchen and Rachel knew that voice, as she walked in she saw sebastian smythe looking flustered glaring at a pan on the hob.

" sebby" Sofia said he turned to look at them and looked shocked to see rachel.

" rachel berry to what do I owe the pleasure"he said.

" her car broke down"sofia said.

" are you alright" he asked rachel nodded.

" do you two know each other" shania asked

" we do" sebastian said

" yeah" Rachel said at the same time he had spoken.

" why dont you two go play and leave rachel to me" he said

" okay" shania said Sofia however remained where she was.

" sebby you should invite her to stay for dinner" Sofia said.

" okay" Sofia said leaving but slowly.

" so Broadway what can I do for you" sebastian asked

" I wondered if I could use your phone to call Kurt's dad to come get my car and call someone to come get me" she said.

" the house phone us down because of the weather and Sofia has hidden my phone if you find it your more than welcome to use it. Niw you dont happen to be able to cook" he said.

" depends on what your making" Rachel said

" pasta with a mushroom sauce" he said

" I'm sure I can do that" she said.

" firstly why dont I get you something to wear your clothes are soaked" sebastian said

" thank you" she said

" come with me" he said and she followed him through the house to the stairs.

" sebastian mom says your not allowed girls upstairs" shania said having seen them.

" relax I'm just getting her some dry clothes" sebastian said as he and Rachel walked up the stairs.

" so Broadway you have met my siblings" sebastian said

" yeah Sofia is adorable" she said.

" she adores me" he said.

" bet your a very protective big brother" Rachel said now following him down a hallway.

" yep nobody messes with my brother and sisters" sebastian said

" brother I didnt know you had a brother" she said and sebastian turned and looked at her.

" he let you in didnt he" sebastian asked Rachel shook her head.

" shania" sebastian asked

" Sofia although shania was there with seconds" she said

" he was supposed to be watching them while I made dinner" sebastian said

" right then Broadway plan of action get you some clothes then make some coffee then kill skylar" sebastian said

He lead her to could only be his parents room and hot her some sweat pants of his moms then led her down the hallway to what Rachel assumed was his room.

" here you go" he said handing her a dalton hoodie.

" thank you" she said taking it.

" you can get changed in here" he said before leaving her to do that.

When Rachel was changed she headed back downstairs to see sebastian stood with who she assumed was Skylar.

" Sofia opened the door what if it hadn't been Rachel sky, " sebastian said.

" I'm sorry seb I should have stayed with them I was bored I just wanted to plan my video game for a few minutes" Skylar said before looking at Rachel sebastian saw this and turned to face her too.

" nice to meet you" Skylar said

" you too" she said.

" right well Rachel will you help me with the pasta, sky you just in here" sebastian said Skylar nodded looking guilty.

Rachel followed sebastian back into the kitchen.

" Sofia wont tell me where my phone is" he said Rachel set about making dinner.

" I always thought you were an only child" Rachel said.

" because I act spoilt" he asked

" no and not all only children are spoilt brats" she said looking slightly offended.

" sebby" Sofia said running into the kitchen.

" yes she is you see she cant go home u til you give me my phone" sebastian said

" does Skylar have a cell" Rachel asked

" yes but our confiscated it as he run up a pretty big bill last month" sebastian said

" so Sofia can I have my phone" sebastian asked and she giggled.

" nope" she said.

" Sofia rachel needs it" sebastian said

" I want Rachel to stay and you said she could go home if you have your phone so it's better this way" Sofia said.

" sofia" sebastian said sternly.

" when will mommy and daddy be home" Sofia asked Rachel was stood looking back and forth between them.

" they cant get back because of the snow so hopefully Tomorrow " sebastian said

" Rachel do you have a big brother" Sofia asked.

" no I don't have any siblings" Rachel said.

" debby is the best big brother ever" she said before running off out of the room.

" she is so cute" Rachel said

" I adore her Skylar annoys me, shania can be bossy but Sofia is adorable" sebastian said.

" thank you for letting me stay for dinner" Rachel said.

" it's only fair since your making it, anyway you can sleep here tonight if you want we have a guestroom" he said.

" thank you I cant believe how bad the weather is" she said.

" yeah neither can I my parents have gone to visit a sick friend I was to babysit and order a pizza but nowhere is delivering in this" he said.

" I just wish I could contact my dads stop that they wont worry" she said

" I will go look for my phone" sebastian said and left her in the kitchen.

Rachel had to admit the smythe's home was stunning it was immaculate yet she knew they had four children.

" right I have good news" sebastian said walking back in.

" okay" Rachel said not knowing what he was about to tell her.

" the news is Sofia wont give me my phone unless you promise to stay tonight and watch Disney movies with her." Sebastian said

" I dont want to put you out" Rachel said.

" your not" sebastian said

" okay then I guess I will be watching disney" Rachel said

" right thenni will go get my phone off her for you to call your dads" sebastian said before leaving the kithcen.

A short time later after managing to speak to her dads to tell them she was alright, Rachel was now sat st the dining table with all four of the smythe siblings.

Sofia was smiling at her as was shania, Skylar looked sad and wasnt talking sebastian seemed relaxed.

" your a good cook" shania said

" thank you" Rachel said.

" seb cant cook" shania said

" neither can you" sebastian said and stuck his tongue out at her.

" honestly boys are so immature" shania said.

" shania thinks she 30" sebastian said and Rachel smiled.

" sky lighten up the main thing is you dont leave Sofia to open the door again but thankfully tonight nothing bad happened" sebastian said.

" do you have a boyfriend" shania asked

" do you want one" Sofia asked while pointing to sebastian. Rachel didnt know what to say or do.

A short while later they were all in the living room sofia was playing with her doll house shania was drawing Skylar was doing some homework and sebastian was sat next to her watching TV.

" when are we going to watch Disney" Sofia asked

" I just thought what with mom and dad gone you know you planned her to come" shania said.

" Rachel and I know each other that's all her car broke down she didnt even know this was our house" sebastian said

" Rachel is very pretty and she sings like you do, you dont have a girlfriend and rachel doesnt have a boyfriend" Sofia said.

" sofia" sebastian said sternly she started playing with her dolls house again.

" I take back saying she isnt annoying" sebastian said to Rachel.

" okay it's time for Disney" sebastian said which was met by cheers from the girls and a groan from Skylar.

" little bro you know you love Disney stop trying to act cool I'm the cool one" sebastian said.

" cool one without a girlfriend" Skylar said to him.

" Sky has a girlfriend" sebastian said

" yeah I'm not sure she is real but still he says he is taken" sebastian said Skylar threw a cushion at him.

" dont hurt sebby" Sofia said running to sebastian and climbing on his knee while frowning at Skylar.

" see boys are so immature" shania said.

Sebastian put on beauty and the beast.

They all sat and watched the movie.

When the movie ended.

" right then Sofia its bedtime" sebastian said

" no" she said

" yes" he said

" nope" she said

" I will read to you" sebastian said

" fine...goodnight Rachel " Sofia said before getting off the couch and going to the stairs slowly with her head down.

" I dont know where she gets her dramatic attitude from" sebastian said getting up.

" I need to do my homework so I'm going up goodnight" Skylar said.

" night" Rachel said it was now just her and shania as sebastian had gone up to read to Sofia. Shania sat next to Rachel.

" its lovely to have finally met you" shania said.

" thank you I have enjoyed meeting all of you" Rachel said.

" sebastian talks about you" shania said Rachel didnt know what to make of that.

" oh" was all she said.

" when his friend Thad is here Thad talks about his girlfriend sebastian talks about you" shania said.

" I see" Rachel said.

" are you really not his girlfriend" shania asked.

" we are not dating my car genuinely broke down" Rachel said.

" I best go get ready for bed too" shania said getting up.

" goodnight " Rachel said.

" night" shania said and Rachel found herself alone in the living room wondering just what sebastian said about her to thad.

She wondered how sebastian the cocky arrogant snob that she had met several times was also the sweet kind and responsible big brother it was clear Sofia absolutely adored him. As she sat there she realised something now that the others were in their rooms when sebastian finished reading to Sofia, she would be alone with him was it weird that she felt nervous but also there was a part of her that felt excited about that.
