Sebastian smythe had a major problem well a few actually but the main one been he was now thanks to his oh so not caring parents... homeless.

What made it worse was he had a little baby yep that's right sebastian was a daddy thanks to a drunken one night stand during his very first week of law school.

The baby's mom wasn't involved and had walked away when his son Levi was four days old.

Sebastian had returned home leaving college to raise his son and figure out his life only his parents had done what they had always done and that was try to rule his life. They made all these plans for Levi and sebastian had snapped telling them he was his dad and that it was his decision. Next thing sebastian knew his had was placing suitcases infront of him and telling him to get out of the house.

So now with a five week old baby sebastian had travelled to New York as several warblers were in the city though thanks to him helping hunter force them to use steroids sebastian wasn't sure any of them would help him.

As the bus pulled in to the station sebastian felt fear wash over him as he had know clue where to go and it was a cold day and Levi was so young.
As he got his suitcase and duffle bag plus Levi's stroller from the buses hold sebastian started to panicked.

What was he going to do where was he going to go... then.

" sebastian " he heard someone say and turned and saw Rachel berry stood there.

" rachel" he said though she clearly hadn't heard hi she was to busy looking at his son in his stroller.

" this is levi" he said.

" I didn't know you were a dad" she said walking over to them.

" yeah" sebastian said

" are you ok" she asked clearly seeing he was an emotional wreck.

" no" he said and burst out crying.

Rachel surprised him by pulling him to her and holding him.

" I'm homeless I have no where to go no one to help me and he deserves better than that" sebastian said.

" ok I just got back to New York after been in hiding and while I'm ready to deal with dropping out of nyada and the TV show I'm not ready to deal with kurt so I have got myself an apartment. Your welcome to come stay with me until you figure something out" she said.

" thank you...why would you want to help me after everything I have done" he asked.

" its lucky for you I'm not a grudgeful person plus everything you did does not amount to me letting you and your son be homeless. Come on let's get a cab" she sai

Sebastian was sat in the cab unable to believe what had happened.

A short while later they arrived at her apartment and Rachel had brought some coffee beans with her and went to the kitchen to make them a coffee.

Sebastian stood holding Levi in his arms looking around the apartment it was small but felt more welcoming than his parents 12 bedroom jail had ever felt.

He smelt coffee and turned to see Rachel walking towards him with two mugs.

" I thought you needed a coffee" she said.

"Thank you i always did have a thing for it" he said placing Levi down on the couch and sitting next to him before taking his coffee.

" do you have formula for him" she asked.

"Yeah" sebastian said.

"Diapers" she asked.

" enough while tomorrow " he said.

" he is so beautiful " Rachel said sebastian saw her stood looking at him.

" do you want to hold him" he asked she nodded.

Sebastian placed his coffee down as did Rachel and sebastian picked Levi up and placed him in Rachel's arms.

" he is the first baby I have ever held" Rachel said.

" seriously " sebastian said in disbelief.

" I think my dads worried if I got broody I might take my eyes of my dreams" Rachel said as Levi played with her finger.

" my parents are not happy im a dad" he said

" really" she asked.

" its because it was out of their control so they went into overdrive controlling the situation. You know my dad already had what college Levi was going to sorted out. He is five weeks old" sebastian said.

" maybe it's a blessing that you both got away from them" Rachel said.

" yeah I just wish I knew what to do with my life" sebastian said.

" your in New York the city of endless possibilities" Rachel said as Levi started to cry sebastian moved towards her to take him only Rachel managed to calm him.

" for your first time e holding a baby your a natural then again he is my son so your holding the best baby ever" sebastian said proudly looking at his son.

" you know I never liked your smug attitude but I agree with you that he is perfect" Rachel said. As sebastian yawned.

" let me show you to the guestroom" she said handing Levi back to him. She showed him to the bedroom.

" would you mind if I have a nap" sebastian asked.

" ofcourse not I'm going to go to the grocery store" Rachel said.

" ok" sebastian said.

Sebastian laid down with levi next to him looking at him.

Sebastian felt a mix of emotions firstly he felt guilt that he had no clue what to do with his life but also a happiness because Levi was his and he had experienced love for the first time.

Sebastian started to drift off to sleep.

He had no clue how long he had slept but when he woke up he could smell something delicious wafting through the door.

He looked and saw Levi wasnt on the bed anymore he panicked and got up and left the room them he saw Levi laid in a moses basked in the living room.

Rachel came out of the kitchen.

" I hope you don't mind when I got back he was crying so I waited a minute to see if you would wake then I thought you needed to sleep so I got him he needed a clean diaper I cha fed him. The store I went to as a ba y section so I got him the basket I hope you don't mind" Rachel said sebastian could tell she was worried had over stepped.

" thank you and don't worry your the only person I trust with him and he seems to like you he never settled for my parents well my mom anyway my dad doesnt hold babies he doesnt do cuddles or affection. It was funny now I look back at my mom giving me parenting instructions and Levi would cry like crazy everytime she held him." Sebastian said.

"I know right now things are not great but I think you did the right thing getting away from them" Rachel said sebastian nodded.

" dinner wont belong I hope your hungry" Rachel said.

" starving" he said she turned and went back into the kitchen.

Sebastian stood looking at his contently sleeping son a weight off his shoulders knowing that tonight they had a warm place to stay.

Sebastian walked into the kitchen.

" how much was the moses basket" he asked.

" don't worry about it" she said.

"Thank you and thank you a million for letting us stay" he said Rachel nodded.

A few minutes later they were both sat round the coffee table eating and sebastian noticed Rachel looked like she was going to say something but stopped herself.

" you ok" he asked.

" yeah" she said.

" you wanna ask me something just ask " he said.

" Levi's mom" she said.

" she was a drunken one night stand during my first week of law school. She told me she was pregnant we had a paternity test done proving the baby was mine. I got us an apartment tried to do right by her then when he was four days old I came home from grocery shopping to find Levi home alone with a note saying it was my fault he existed and that it was my responsibility" sebastian said.

"She left him alone" Rachel gasped.

" yeah" sebastian said.

" woah" Rachel said.

" yeah so I returned home to my parents which as you know was a big mistake " sebastian said.

" you don't think she will try to come back" Rachel asked.

" nope because attached to the note was a legal document serenading her rights. She had planned to leave him before he was even born" sebastian said and felt himself on the brink of tears.

" my birth mom got in touch with me while I was at McKinley then decided she didn't want me in her life because she wanted a baby not a teenager she adopted Quinn's baby. The worst part was until I met her I didn't know what having a mom was like not that she was one. But the worst was when she walked away at least Levi is spared that because ge is so young. Plus with you has his dad he will be fine you never take crap from anyone" Rachel said.

"Your mom is an idiot for not wanting you in her life" he said.

" I have gotten to twenty one without needing her" Rachel said as Levi woke up crying.

" he is hungry can I warm up a bottle" sebastian asked.

" sure" Rachel said.

Sebastian fed Levi and sat back on the couch holding him as Rachel who had cleared up after dinner came and sat down on the couch opposite him.

" I knew with me as his dad he would be cute but I never imagined him been as cute as he is" sebastian said.

"He is adorable " Rachel said.

" did you here Levi Rachel thinks your adorable " sebastian said in a baby voice.

"You know the main thing that came from not having a mom growing up was it made my dads even more important and special to me" Rachel said.

" I hope Levi and I have a bond like that though I hope to find him a mother figure" sebastian said Rachel nodded.

" think I'm gonna put the moses basket in the bedroom" sebastian said.

Sebastian tuck the basked through and settled Levi in it giving him a kiss as he did so.

Then he went back through to the living room.

" do you want a small glass of wine" Rachel asked.

" please just a small one gotta be alert for the little guy" sebastian said.

Rachel handed him a glass a moment later and they were sat back watching TV.

" I still cant believe we ran into each other I mean we are in New York and the people here yet we ran into each other" sebastian said.

" yeah it is weird especially given the circumstances you needing a place to stay and to be honest was dreading been home alone"rachel said.

" you were" sebastian asked.

"Yeah because when I'm alone I realise just what a mess I have made of everything " Rachel said.

" well I can help you with one thing" sebastian said Rachel looked at him.

" oh" she said.

" carmen who runs nyada is my godmother my moms friend who hates my dad but always has liked me I can give her a call get you back in nyada " he said.

" are you serious " Rachel exclaimed.

" just say the word and I can arrange it" he said.

" that would be amazing although I would be the laughing stock just like I was at McKinley" Rachel said.

" not everyone laughed at you I never did and who cares what others think they are jealous because only you was blessed with your amazing voice" sebastian said.

" would you" she asked sebastian took out his cell and called carmen.

Five minutes later.

" well" Rachel asked as he put the phone down.

" you start Monday " he said Rachel squealed and jumped up and surprised him by hugging him.

" thank you " she said.

" it's the least I could do you have helped me when I needed someone the most" sebastian said as their eyes locked and sebastian decided to be bold and leaned in and kissed her and was thrilled she kissed him back.

" I think I know why we bumped into each other" sebastian said

" me too its fate" she said before blushing.

" you are so adorable " he said before kissing her again.

As it was when Rachel and sebastian needed someone fate brought them together along with Levi.

In the months that followed Rachel was back at nyada a d auditioning for Broadway plays sebastian was working at a day care centre as having Levi he not only discovered he loved being a around kids but that he seemed to be good with them too.

Six months later sebastian proposed and when they got married along with signing the marriage certificates Rachel also signed adoption papers officially adopting Levi who was already calling her mommy.

A few years later they would have a daughter who they named Georgia and Levi was an amazing and protective big brother to her.

They four of them were happy.
