Rachel was back in Ohio now aged 24 she was engaged to Jesse st James and they were back to announce their engagement to their families. Which they had now done.

Jesse had talked her into going to a wine bar because he heard some vocal adrenalin alumni were going and he wanted to see them.

Rachel wasnt in the mood because despite having only gotten engaged three weeks ago her and Jesse had fought most of the time they had been back. Not infront of their parents but it hadn't been how Rachel would have assumed a newly engaged couple would be.

They argued over everything or rather Jesse had begun picking fault with everything.

Rachel decided to go tonight to the wine bar hoping a couple of drinks would help Jesse relax.

So now she found herself in an upmarket wine bar in westerville.

Jesse got them both a drink and then lead her through the crowd to his former high school friends.

As they walked Jesse had hold of her hand and her wi e glass was in the over as Jesse moved through the crowd Rachel accidentally bumped I to someone.

" oh I'm so sorry" she said before looking up at the tall person she has walked smack into.

" no worries Broadway" he said as she looked at him sebastian smythe was the person she had walked into he gave her a little smile and Jesse then pulled her away towards his friends.

The next two hours were so boring jesse was getting more and more drunk and seemed to have forgotten his fiance was even there he spent the whole time talking with his friends hardly bothering to say a slurred word to her.

None of the former vocal adrenalin members would talk to her still annoyed that her solo had cost them a national championship.

" I'm going to the ladies" Rachel said she did t k ks if Jesse had head her but she was past caring now her mind was made up she was going to the toilets then she was going to go home with or without her drunk fiance.

After the toilet she returned to the table to tell Jesse she was leaving only he wasnt there. She waited thinking he might have gone to the toilet himself.

She waited and she waited but he didnt return.

Rachel had had enough she made her way out of the bar and decided to call a cab Jesse clearly wasng bothered about her. The music from the bar was so loud she had to walk a few feet away before she could call cab only she never got chance. As she was about to dial she heard a noises from the alley at the side of the wine bar and then she saw it Jesse with a former vocal adrenalin girl pressed against the wall having sex.

Rachel couldn't believe it forty eight hours ago they had told her dads they were getting married now here he was with some girl.

" jesse" she screamed.

" oh rach look I'm just having my fun before we settle down" he said. Rachel couldn't believe it he wasnt remotely sorry. The girl turned and smirked at her.

Then Rachel felt tears run down her face and arms appeared and pulled her away she turned and saw sebastian for the second time that night.

" come on Broadway you dont want to see that " he said.

" I cant believe him" Rachel said trying to start sobbing.

" come on I will take you home" sebastian said but rachel froze.

" what" sebastian asked.

" we are staying at his parents" she said.

"I will take you to your dads" sebastian said but she shook her head.

" I cant go there I told them two days ago we were getting married but now he has... he has done this I'm such an idiot" she said crying.

" I'm house sitting for my parents your welcome to stay at mine. I came here with some friends but I didnt fancy drinking so I brought my car" he said.

" thank you" she said sobbing sebastian surprised her by putting an arm around her and he walked them to his car.

They were silent during the short drive to his parents house.

Once they arrived sebastian let them in and Rachel found herself in the most amazing house she had ever been in it was huge and full of expensive things yet was classy and homely.

" coffee" he asked Rachel nodded and followed him through to the kitchen.

" rachel" sebastian said whilst the coffee was being made she was surprised as he usually called her Broadway.

" yeah'she answered.

" not to be rude but why would you get engaged to him" he asked Rachel looked at him.

" no offence but he is hardly a prize catch is he you could do so much better" sebastian said now pouring the coffees.

"I always thought Jesse understood me the most well after Blaine atleast" she said.

" he is vile" sebastian said handing her mug to her.

" I know that now" she said.

" he wasnt even sorrry" she said as a fresh wave of tears run down her face.

" I know he is a disgraceful human and I know he has hurt you but atleast you know his true colours before you actually married him" sebastian said.

" you must think I'm stupid" Rachel said.

" no I dont I admit you used to annoy me with your talent it was hard to try and beat you at regionals but no I never thought that you miss Rachel berry was stupid" he said

" Santana is at the loft in New York she is so going to rub this in my face" Rachel said.

" let her who cares what she thinks" sebastian said.

" Santana hasn't changed you know she is still mean to me" Rachel said

" I can believe that then again who am I to judge anyone" he said.

" what are you upto these days" Rachel asked.

" well between rescuing damsels in distress I'm in my third year of law school" sebastian said.

" oh" she said.

" I'm actually transfering to New York next semester and like I said earlier I'm house sitting for my parents who are ona cruise" he said.

" I love new york" she said.

" it's where you belong I knew that the moment I first heard you sing" he said

" I'm not going to have a career now though" she said.

" what makes you say that" sebastian asked.

" Jesse is the director of the play I'm currently rehearsing" Rachel said.

" Rachel did you get into nyada because of Jesse no you got in because your incredible did you get the role of funny girl because of him no you got it because you deserved it. Yes you might lose this role because of him but you are not dependant on that ass your talented enough to get other roles" he said.

" thank you" Rachel said.

" why dont we go sit down" sebastian said Rachel nodded and followed hi through to a cosy little snug room which had French doors which lead out to the beautiful garden.

" so how are Blaine and betty" sebastian said she shot him a look and he chuckled.

" what he calls me meerkat though I'm not offended as they are adorable" he said.

" they are fine" Rachel said.

" what about you, you said your transferring to new york" she asked a moment later.

" I had a break up myself which is why I decided to transfer I need a change" he said.

" were you and he together for long" she asked he looked at her then shook his head and laughed.

" what" she asked.

" do you want to know my secret rachel" he asked Rachel was confused.

" ok" she said.

" I pretended to like Blaine because kurt posed me off... I am straight" he said

" oh'she said suprised.

" yeah so back to my ex her name was honey which is ironic because she was anything but sweet" he said.

" if she wasnt nice why did you date her" Rachel asked.

" probably the same reason you dated Jesse it was comfortable" he said Rachel nodded.

" so speaking of that jerk what you planning to do" he asked.

" once im back in New York im moving my things out of our apartment" she said.

" good... where will you go" he asked

" dont know I'm not going to the loft I cant live with santana" she said.

" why dont you kick him out" he asked.

" I wouldn't be able to afford the rent" Rachel said he nodded.

" I would offer you to move into the apartment I'm moving into but I'm moving in with hunter clarington and he is a jerk" sebastian said

" then why move in with him" she asked.

" because he is my friend and he says I'm a jerk too" he laughed.

" you dont seem so bad anymore" Rachel said.

" dont say that being bad was my way of flaunting my sexiness" he said and they both laughed.

" what's hunter upto these days" she asked.

" he owns a gym" he said.

" I'm surprised your friends with him given dalton gave him your captaincy" Rachel said.

" he may have being called captain but everyone knows I was still in charge" he chuckled.

" are you still intouch with trent" she asked.

" yeah I am he is in New York to" sebastian said.

" what does he do" Rachel asked

" he is the manager of a karaoke bar" sebastian said.

" oh wow" Rachel said.

" yeah and I have to say he will be super jealous of me having run into you" sebastian said.

" really way" she asked

" trent absolutely adores you thinks your amazing" sebastian said.

" oh" Rachel said she wasnt used to compliments.

" he isn't the only one either" sebastian said.

" oh" she said

" I gotta admitt I was always enchanted by you... still am"he said Rachel didnt know what to say.

" it's funny you dated Jesse who was the lead singer of vocal adrenalin but I have to say Rachel I think you dated the wrong competitor. I know this probably sounds crazy given two hours ago you were engaged to Jesse st jerk but how would you feel about dating a very handsome former warbler" he asked.

" well I..." she started to say but was surprised by him kissing her.

" he never deserved you his actions are no reflection of you. I would never do what he has done. Plus if you dated me Santana wouldn't dare say anything to you. Dont know about you but I can o ly think of pros about you and i" he said and kissed her again. Rachel was blown away by the kiss.

" so what would you say Rachel would you allow me to take you out on a date" he asked.

" ok" she said and couldn't believe the smile that spread across his face.

He leaned in and kissed her again and this time they carried on kissing for a long time.

Rachel couldn't believe the turn of events but had a feeling that her future had now fallen into place. There was something about sebastian that made her feel that her life was going to be amazing from now on.
