Poguelandia truly is a slice of paradise.

Days are spent fishing, surfing, and sleeping under the stars. Nothing can get to them out there. It's the Pogues, and the Pogues only.

With this newfound peace, Alex is able to put all of the heaviness that has happened to her the past few months out of her mind. She is also able to focus on her relationship with JJ, with no outside forces to hold them back or cause any problems. She's pretty sure she's never been so happy in her life.

She doesn't want to ever leave the island.

Inevitably, however, a plane flies overhead and spots them, taking them away from their little paradise.

It quickly becomes clear that this rescue wasn't as random as they thought, as they get tangled up in another plot regarding the treasure, and Alex has to reluctantly cooperate with a familiar face.

Parental figures return, old flames resurface, and the gold is up for grabs once again.

Will Alex and JJ crumble from the pressure upon returning to the real world? Will the Pogues finally get their gold? Their justice? Or will the forces working against them win yet again?
