Chan sprinted down the street. He had run to the store to tell his parents about what happened. He explained that he should have warned them not to let anybody cook, much less Felix and Seungmin, then he briefly explained why he wasn't there in the morning. He knew his parents worried about him when he disappeared. Honestly, Mr. and Mrs. Bang laughed when Chan told them about the cooking incident. They just said that it better be clean when they get home. Now Chan was sprinting down the street with his parents only a few minutes behind.

Chan rushed into the house, only to see Hyunjin, Minho, Changbin, Jeongin and Jisung on the couch with both of his younger siblings and Astra leaning over the sink trying to scrape the remains of the burnt breakfast off the pan, while Felix and Seungmin apologized over and over. Eventually, Astra told them quietly, but firmly, that they had apologized enough and that they better go sit down before she bashed both their heads in with the pan.

He didn't even notice how long he had been standing there, until someone gasped from behind him. He jumped and whipped around only to see his mother looking at Astra.

"Is this the girl you've been talking to us about, Chris?" His mother asked. Astra snorted and gave Chan a weird look.

"You've been talking to your parents about me?" She asked. She hadn't even finished her sentence and Chan's ears were firetruck red. He was pretty sure penguins in Antarctica would be able to feel his embarrassment. He nodded slowly, silently sending an apology to the penguins. Astra just smirked and rolled her eyes; then she got back to scraping the heck out of the pan. There was still burnt batter at the bottom, so Astra filled it with hot water and left it in the sink.

"Is everybody okay?" Chan asked. Everyone nodded. "Good." Chan ran a hand down his face and sat heavily in a chair. Everyone looked at him worriedly, everyone except Astra. She knew that he was just tired and worried about the people he cared about.

"Right, so... I'm Astra." Mentioned girl said awkwardly. Everyone she didn't know introduced themselves and started talking. Now that nobody was in danger, everyone started laughing and joking around again. Astra smiled and hugged Hannah. She had met her when she had gotten worried about her older brother and went out to find him. She received scolding from Chan about the dangers of walking around at 2:00AM. she just responded, 'Then why are you out here?' Astra had just laughed at that and told her to go back home and go to sleep.

Astra saw Chan smiling fondly at everyone and decided to go and join him. She was almost asleep for the first time in literally forever, so she climbed up on his lap and curled up. Out of instinct, and wanting to have someone to cuddle, Chan immediately wrapped his arms around her and leaned his head on hers. Everyone was too distracted to notice the two insomniacs slowly falling asleep to each other's heartbeats.

Hannah smirked, pulling out her phone and taking a few pictures before actually saying anything.

"Looks like Channie's got himself a girl." She commented slyly. Everyone turned around and smiled at the two. Mrs. Bang was holding her husband's hand and smiling happily at them. "Does anybody know anything about her?" She asked. Felix and Mrs. Bang made eye contact and shrugged.

"Channie used to talk to me about her sometimes. He said that there was this girl with honey brown eyes that sparkled like the sun on the sea when she was happy and turned dark when she was upset.. He said that this girl made him happy. They both have insomnia, so they bonded over that. He also said that they would walk around at night and talk about pretty much anything." Felix explained. He nodded at Mrs. Bang.

"Well, Chris always told me of this beautiful girl that he met at a café very early in the morning. She was sarcastic and kind. He said that she loved the stars. She thought that the stars represented the good people in the world. One would go out almost every day, but two more would be born. The question was if they would use their light to bring life and happiness, or to feed black holes that do nothing but consume. He said that she was the one who inspired him to start his music career after he heard her sing. He made a promise to her. He promised to succeed in music and one day come back and take her with him. Chan always used to say they joked about the girl joining him in music, but she wanted something to ground her first. He never forgot her, even though she had to go away five years ago. She never left his mind." Mrs. Bang said.

Everyone was silent. That was why Chan worked so hard to make music his career. Because he promised. He promised that he would make his career and come back so that she could join him and they could live their happily ever after. And now he had.

He made a promise only to break it.
