Haneul

"Haneul let's go home!!" Bora nagged.

I've been staying at the school's library trying to finish a computer project that I've missed.

"I can't. You go ahead now." I tell Bora.

"When will you go though?" She asked.

"Depends. Don't worry though, Ill keep safe and go home later." I said.

"Aishh! Fine you stubborn studious girl I'm going ahead!" Bora bursted and dragged herself out the library leaving me alone.

I tried to do my work in peace now for about 3 hours already.

"And done!" I saved my file and looked at the time.

It was 7 in the evening. I fixed my computer things and took out my assignment notebook then seeing that I had one longtest to study for tomorrow.

"Aishhh! Oh my gosh what to do? I forgot about tomorrow's longest!" I worried.

I looked around me and saw about 5-6 students remaining.

"They probably won't leave me yet right?" I thought and proceeded to study stressfully.

I proceeded studying for about one more hour as I stayed in the library.

"Is staying here in school alright? Hmm.. oh well. One more chapter to go~" I reminded myself.

Suddenly, to my surprise the lights went out.

"Huh?!!" I got startled and immediately scared.
It was dark and I could barely see anything if not for the moonlight reflecting on the mini windows the room had.

I froze in my seat and realized that everyone has left me eversince a while ago.

"Excuse me... someone's left here... you forgot about me, please help.." I tried to speak, my voice was getting smaller.

"Someone help!! I'm all locked up here!! There's still a person here please at least turn the lights on!!" I gathered up courage to shout as I was starting to feel alarmed and frightened of the dark.

I got out of my seat and slowly dragged my feet walking to the wall where the glass window is. I realized it was too tall and up high. Plus, it was also locked. I slowly fell on the floor as I sat and held my knees close to me.

Looks like I'll miserably end up in the dark library for the night.

Wonho

I decided to go see and check up on an old friend today. I stood at their school's old playground hoping to meet him.

"Hyung!!" I suddenly heard someone call me, interrupting my thoughts.

I turned around and was delighted.

"Chae Hyungwon!"

I rushed to him as he greeted me with our brotherly handshake.

"Wahhh, Hyungwon-ah good to see you. Aren't you getting more and more handsome each time?" I teased my old pal.

"Hyung, stop that." He warned.

"Hahaha.. You brought a sandwich?" I noticed.

"Yeah. I was hungry. I still didn't have breakfast but because I saw you, I started running to you immediately." He grinned.

"Aishh, your school starts so early that's why. What kind of school starts at 6:30 in the morning? In my old school while I was alive, formal classes start at 8!" I complained.

"Haha you're right, hyung." He chuckled, taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Hyung, keep this sandwich with you." He gave me his second one.

"But why? You know I dont really eat." I chuckled.

"Just dont give it back. I dont like that one's filling." He laughed.

"Too mushy..." He added.

I looked at him as I suddenly messed up his hair.

"Eat up, chopstick. Such a picky eater." I nagged.

"Ey hyung, don't try to make fun of my weight." He said.

"Haha, it's true. You have to eat well so that you can defend yourself from bullies this time."

"But having you as my guardian is better. Although, I wish that someday I can repay you for fighting off all of my bullies for a thousand times already, too." He said.

"Really?" I said.

"I'm thankful that even though you have passed away, you remained here and have never forgotten me even though half of your life memory had been erased upon entering that life." He sincerely said.

"I'm even more thankful that out of all my friends, you're the one I can approach and rely on since you're the only one who can still see me. So becoming your guardian against those bullies is nothing." I said and we both smiled at each other.

As Hyungwon had set off to school, I had a sudden feeling of wanting to visit my old school. It was the perfect time since I had an hour left before students flocked the whole school building. Probably the school is still even closed.

I drifted off to school as I reminisced the old school memories upon entering. I couldn't remember anything much but I remember with the feeling.

I walked around the classrooms, the restrooms, the laboratories as I enjoyed the sight. I then finally reached the big library.

I got in and looked around for some books to read. The library was truly mesmerizing, especially at this time of the morning where the early sunlight was reflecting beautifully indoors.

"Was it really like this since before I was alive?" I thought.

I looked around until I unexpectedly found her.

It was her. Again and again.

I lightly smiled as I felt a certain happy feeling strike up to my chest upon seeing her. I walk up closer to her sleeping body.

"Cheonsa... cheonsa-ya.." I playfully and softly awaken her.

She showed a little movement and woke up.

"You..?" She managed to say.

"Mm.. it's me." I answered.

"How did you get in here?" She asked.

I got onto her level and looked at her face clearly.

"Were you locked up in here?" I ignored her previous question.

"Maybe... okay, yes." She admitted.

"You looked like you cried. Were you really that scared here last night?" I said.

"Who wouldn't be afraid..? I'm so tired. Also, I'm so sorry for looking like this infront of you right now, but last night was just too frightening and lonely for me." She leaned her body onto the wall weakly and tried to gain consciousness.

"Not as lonely and frightening as how I live though." I uttered.

"Ah. Hungry.." Her stomach growled which cut off my thoughts and made me smile.

"Here. I have a sandwich." I gave her Hyungwon's.

"What's inside? Are you sure there's no poison?" She joked.

"It's egg sandwich." I said and handed it to her which she accepted.

She looked at the sandwich and smiled.

"You know what, I used to know someone who dislikes egg sandwich." She said.

"Really?" I asked.

"He said he finds it too mushy for his taste." She smiled and looked at me.

Her words suddenly brought me to thinking as my smile slowly faded.

Hyungwon said exactly the same words upon handing me the sandwich earlier.

Haneul

Thankfully, Wonho found me and brought me company. I wonder how he always finds me, though. However, I won't complain any longer over the guidance he always provides me.

After I ate his sandwich, he helped me stand up.

"Upon a few minutes from now, this library will be unlocked by the janitor himself. You can go wash up and fix yourself in the washroom upstairs later." He said.

"Yes, thanks. But then how do you know this school? You go here?" Out of curiosity, I asked.

"Hmm.. sort of... Well yes." He answered.

"Wahh! So you're a sunbae?" I asked.

(sunbae/nim means a senior)

"Haha yeah it actually seems that way. I guess?" He agreed.

"Oh. I kinda gave you an attitude upon our previous meetings. But thanks anyways... I'm privileged to be looked upon on by a sunbae of mine here." I bowed at him.

"I don't mind. I like you the way you are Cheonsa-ssi." He started.

"You mean Haneul--"

"I know that, your reaction is just really cute." He chuckled.

Suddenly, the door opened and I immediately got my things as I took the opportunity to get out.

I looked back at Wonho to say one last thing.

"Thank you for your help again, Wonho-ssi." I sincerely thanked.

He stared at me before flashing a small smile.

"It's no problem." He said.

I gave him a nod and proceeded to run away quickly with my things out the library.
