Haneul

I was in a deep sleep with a dream of going on a date with someone special. The mystery guy in my dream was so ideal and sweet, but the problem was, I couldn't see his face. It was all blurred out.

Suddenly, I woke up right before he could reveal his face to me. I was greeted by the sound of loud and harsh noises of banging on my house's gate.

"W-wait? That noise comes from my house?" I quickly decided to go check.

I looked at the clock, and the time read 9:08 am. I then walked outside of my room towards the window in the living room to get a peek of what was happening.

To my surprise, I saw that it was my aunt.

The aunt who visited me was Aunt Inha, and she wasn't on good terms with me and my mom. I really didn't know what could have brought her here.

"Yah!! Cheon Haneul come out!" She slammed the gate once again.

I took a deep breath and opened the door to meet her. The moment she saw me from afar, she looked finally relieved to see me.

I slowly walked towards the house gate to open it for her, but the moment I did, she quickly dragged me outside and pulled on my hair.

"Aaaaaahh! Auntie, that hurts!! Please let go!!" I began to scream from the pain.

"You and your mom really have no shame, huh?! Her mother-in-law is sick and dying! You really won't show up like her, right?!" She pulled on my hair harder and began to hit me.

"I didn't know what happened to grandma!! No one has ever contacted me about it!" I told her the truth.

"You just moved here, and you're already trying to seperate yourself from family matters?! Too bad grandma likes you and and your mom! But look at what your mom did to my brother--"

"Auntie!! It was dad who left us!! It wasn't my mom's fault! My mom is busy working abroad!!" I defended my mom.

"So you're making up more excuses for her not to visit, huh? And you dare talk bad about my brother?!" She got alot more furious.

"Let me go please!!" I begged.

Suddenly, I caught a glimpse of someone quickly approaching us from afar.

"Ahjumma!! Let her go!" The familiar voice called out.

The next thing I knew, someone already got auntie's hand out of my hair. I was then quickly dragged to the side.

"Why did you have to be that harsh to her? Please go, and don't hurt her anymore!"

I looked at the figure right infront of me, and he was holding my arm.

"H-Hyungwon?!" I was surprised to see that it was him.

He held my hand tightly, while making sure I was right behind him so that my aunt wouldn't come to attack me once again.

"Tsk. You have a boyfriend, I see? Pathetic." Aunt Inha fixed her hair and scoffed at us.

"Please, don't ever bother her again. If this happens twice, I'm gonna call the cops on you--"

Upon hearing what Hyungwon was telling my aunt I quickly moved infront of him to push him back.

"H-Hyungwon-ah, you can stop now. Please don't get involved." I asked of him.

However, Hyungwon simply stared me down. I quickly was taken aback by how he seemed very different and powerful at that moment. He then looked back up at Aunt Inha; a stern expression was clearly seen in his face. It was almost like he wasn't scared of her.

It was a whole new side of him that I was seeing.

"Stop looking at me like that, kid--"

"I'm being serious here. Don't take my words lightly. If ever you come back here to bother her again, I'm going to report you." He stated.

My aunt was also taken aback as much as I was. Her jaw slightly dropped as she was clearly surprised at how Hyungwon talked.

"F-Fine.." Aunt Inha said before quickly leaving the scene.

As soon as she was completely gone, Hyungwon finally turned to face me.

"You're hurt aren't you?" He asked.

"It's okay, it was just my hair getting pulled. I'm okay now." I rubbed the part of my head that was feeling a bit sore.

He gave a small nod and then sighed deeply at me.

"D-Do you wanna c-come inside? I haven't really gotten ready yet, by the way." I looked down on my pajamas as I asked him.

"Sure." He agreed.

Hyungwon and I went inside my house, and I quickly offered him a seat on my sofa.

"I'll get you coffee to drink--"

"Ah no, water is fine. Just get me water, instead." He smiled.

I stared at him before giving a nod as I head to the fridge to pour him a glass of water.

"Now, may I know why you're here?" I asked him.

I noticed that he was still wearing his neck brace from the accident. I wonder of how long he actually has to wear it.

"I told you, I wanted to go to that cafe with you. I was hoping to surprise you for today, but... that happened." He said.

"Ah.. I'm sorry you had to see that. It's just a little family feud, and that aunt didn't really like my mom. My parents have been separated since a few years ago, too." I explained.

"Oh... I see. I guess I'm sorry, too." He apologized.

"It's alright. Thank you for helping me awhile ago. You stood by my side, and you were there when I needed you. I really appreciate it." I thanked him.

"It's no problem. I'm relieved I came to save you right before she could've done something more. I couldnt bear seeing you hurt." He said.

I slowly broke into a small smile the moment Hyungwon said those words.

"Well, because I owe you anyways... I guess we can go to that cafe you really wanted to bring me to." I shyly said.

As soon as I said those words, his face immediately lit up out of excitement.

"I'll go prepare myself first!" I told him and he gave me a nod.

I ran into my room and rushed to pick my favorite white blouse and navy blue floral patterned skirt from the closet. I then took my small black leather sling bag and placed those three on top of my bed.

As soon as I had those prepared, I set a timer of 10 minutes, and ran into the bathroom to take a shower faster than the usual time I finish.

After I had finished showering, I went ahead to dry myself and my hair, change into my clothes, and apply a little makeup.

Hyungwon

I patiently sat down and scanned my eyes around the place while waiting for Haneul. I was busy thinking of the things she and I could do or talk about for the day.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of the door from her room open which revealed her all ready to go.

I looked at Haneul looking very beautiful right infront of me, and as a subconscious reaction, I began to slowly stand up from my seat.

"D-Did I take too long?" She asked.

"Hm? Ah no, it's alright." I shyly smiled.

"Okay. Since I'm all ready, then let's get going!" She said.

I gladly drove Haneul to the cafe where I wanted to take her to. It took a bit of time but I'm happy to see that she was enjoying the ride in the car.

I then went ahead to park the car in one go as soon as we have arrived.

"You're done parking?!" Her jaw dropped.

"Of course. You can go check. It's parked properly." I chuckled a bit.

"Wow... your driving skills are crazy." She complimented which made me laugh.

The both of us went out of the car, and as soon as she was out, I saw her looking around the place.

"Wow... this cafe is pretty. The aroma is really pleasant too. I can't wait to go inside!" She smiled.

"So, let's come in?" I invited her.

Haneul and I went inside and made our way to look for a good spot. We chose the table that was near the window so that we could view the outside.

"This cafe is really your style, huh? Aesthetically pleasing designs are everywhere, and the music they play sounds really laid back and relaxing. This is a pretty chill place." She couldn't stop running her eyes around.

"Haha, you know me. Anyways, would you like to order? Just get anything you like, and we can also try out a bunch of stuff here because I'll pay for it anyways." I said.

"Hey... I can pay for the things I'll order, you don't need to--"

"It's my treat Haneul-ah, make yourself comfortable around me. After all, this could be a good way of building a good relationship right now. So that... you won't feel weird whenever Wonho is in my place." I told her.

Suddenly, I noticed the slight drop in her expression. However, she managed to shake it away pretty quickly.

"Oh well, let's just spend time today as Haneul and Hyungwon. I barely know the present version of yourself, anyways. Wonho has always been in your body lately, and so this time, I wanna know about you." She said.

Her words suddenly began to melt my heart. A weird feeling arose in my chest, and it began to make me feel overwhelmed.

"Alright. Today, let's do that." I smiled.
