The days that followed the sleepover were insane.

Cheryl Flower, reported that her daughter and son were staying home alone. This resulted in CPS showing up and attempting to take the two into custody.

There was a lot of screaming and crying, until the social worker finally came up with a proposition.

"If you can find someone to sign as your legal guardian in this town, then we will allow you to stay. HOWEVER, they must follow all policies, and they must meet the qualifications to meet our standards." Lacy, their social worker, had said.

Ally sat on her couch with Ash, trying to figure out what she was going to do.

She gives a soft smile to the child, who in turn hugs her side. Her heart ached at the thought of him going into a home with a family they didn't personally know.

Their whole life, the poor kids never had a single adult there to guide them. They were always on their own, which is why it was such a surprise that Ally didn't turn out anything like her fucked up parents. Not the point. The point is, she has no fucking clue who she can get to sign those papers.

By now, the losers already knew the news, and were doing their best to find qualified people.

Just because they signed the papers, didn't mean they'd actually have to take care of Ash and Ally. It just meant she was allowed to stay in Derry, with her friends. Where she belonged.

The girl often snuck into Eddie's room. Through his window, on late nights when Ash was asleep.

They spent every waking and sleeping moment together.

Eddie truly didn't think he'd be able to live without her. It didn't seem possible at this point. Not with everything they've been through.

The losers felt bad for the two lovers. All of them were aware of all the things they've been through. From fights to make up sex, to kisses, to more kisses. It was so clear that in this town, despite what they'd done, they were as close to a pure relationship as things came.

Sonia had walked in on the two asleep plenty of times. She would just pretend she didn't see anything and leave. She didn't have the heart to tell the girl to leave, and she felt guilty that she couldn't sign the papers herself.

Whenever Ally wasn't around him, Eddie was extremely mopey. He seemed kinda lifeless without her.

They only have a day left to find someone to sign the papers.

No one signs the papers.

Eddie cries himself to sleep when Ally doesn't show up at his window that night.
