Bev and Ally are sat in the kitchen discussing their favorite chapsticks, being pure souls. The boys are playing cards in the living room, except Richie who got kicked out for being too aggressive.
"That's so unfair– Stan's clearing cheating!" Richie insists, folding his arms over his chest.
Eddie rolls his eyes at the boy, before allowing his eyes to drift to Ally in the other room. His distracted mind causes him to also be kicked out the game, by an overly annoyed Ben. "You guys can't play if you're just gonna be distracted– I mean come on!" Ben cries.
The boys chuckle at his dramatic-ness before going back to the game.
Eddie plops onto the couch, and Richie sits beside him. The two seem to zone out of whatever the other boys were talking about. Eddie immediately knew that Richie was gonna ask him to finish his little story. So he tells it without questions.
Ally watches as Eddie and Richie speak to each other, both of them blushing at whatever it was the Eddie was saying.
Curiosity swims in her.
Bev raises an eyebrow at her friend.
"What? Is there a secret he might be telling Richie?" She questions. Ally flinches.
"Uh–yeah, actually."
"Oh yeah? Like what?" Bev hums, popping a chip in her mouth.
"Me and Eddie had sex."
Bev blinks.
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"Wow."
"Yeah."
"Well, how was it?" Bev giggles, not all too phased. It was bound to happen sooner or later, and with the rate they were at, it was sure to be sooner.
Ally laughs and gives a small shrug. "It was pretty good. Better than I thought it'd be."
For about an hour, they all sit around talking to one another about different things. They decide to leave the topic of sex out. That's not what this group of friends was about.
A knock on the door brings them out of their little world. Ally answers it with a smile, but her smile soon drops at the sight in front of her. The last person she wanted to ever seen. The last person she thought she'd see. Her mind swirls with hate and confusion as she glares at the person in front of her.
Cheryl Flower.
"What are you doing here?" Ally growls, narrowing her eyes at the women.
The losers tense up at the girls sudden change in attitude, curiously trying to peak at whoever is at the door.
"I came to warn your dumb ass." Cheryl glares back, attempting to push past her daughter and into the house. Ally stops her from entering, nudging her back. "Warn me about what?" By now, the losers pieced together who was at the door, recognizing the dreaded woman's voice.
"CPS, duh. Now let me in–"
"No." Ally states, going to close the door.
"Fine! Keep locking me out! Keep me kicked out! I don't care! When CPS finds out you're staying here without an adult–they'll take you! They'll take Ash too!" Cheryl says, pounding on the other side of the door. Ally stares at the door blankly, waiting for the with to leave. Finally, the pounding stops and she lets out a breath.
The losers stare at her with worry.
"W-What's C-C-CPS?" Bill questions.
"Child protective services..." Mike answers for Ally, knowing them all too well. They weren't exactly the most enjoyable people, breaking people up into foster homes.
Eddie is blank.
"What're you gonna do if they come here?" Stan mutters quietly, afraid of her answer.
Ally shrugs, walking back towards them and sitting on the floor. She really is unsure of what she was going to do if they did show up. She has no legal guardian, technically. With a sigh, she stands once again and walks to the rotary phone in her kitchen.
Everyone watches her patiently.
"Hello?" Ally greets, everyone brain storming who could be on the other line.
"Yeah– it's Cheryl...she showed up, do you think you could– yeah, no, that's what I was gonna ask. Thanks." She hums, hanging up the phone and walking back.
"Who was that?" Ben inquires.
"Mrs. Maple."
They all nod.
The losers sat worriedly around Ally Flower, thinking ways to protect her from getting taken by the state. They wouldn't lose her.
