Bill stayed over the entire weekend, not that Mrs. Denbrough minded at all. She said she trusts me, and that I was welcome over if I ever needed anything.
Monday is dreadful. I regret every seating choice I ever made, and end up switching with Richie for everything. That way, instead of being sat next to Eddie, I'm sat by Stan. Stan is constantly worried, and jumps at the slightest sad sound that comes from me.
Eddie looks like a mess, in all honesty. He looks absolutely terrible.
Evelyn is stuck by him, yet he continuously brushes her off, which makes my heart swoon a little. Yet, every time I look at him, I hear him yelling that he cheated on me. And he liked it.
A sad sigh leaves my lips as I finish my classwork. Stan immediately sits up and stares at me with concern, which makes me laugh a little.
"Y-You okay?" He questions.
"Yes, Stany. For the 5th time, I'm okay." I giggle back. He smiles lightly, relieved at the sound of even a little bit of happiness. My pencil moves swiftly across the corner of the paper, doodling a giraffe. Eddie taps his fingers continuously on his desk, behind me. God he's being purposefully annoying.
Thankfully, before my patience can snap, the bell rings. Biology is over.
I rush out of the classroom and towards the gym, excited for whatever new stunts I get to learn next. As I walk through the entrance, everything goes deadly silent. The girls all look towards me guilty, and Betty gives a deep frown. Confusion spreads across my features.
"Hey girls, what's going on?" I ask, setting my bag down. Betty walks over to me slowly. She hands me a piece of paper. It's a copy of my schedule, only without cheer/dance in it. Now I'm really confused.
"S-Someone reported you...for smoking..." Betty stutters out. A blank look takes my expression. "You're being kicked out of the team...I-I'm sorry." Small tears begin to form in my eyes as she says this.
Who the hell reported me? Bill? It had to be. No wonder he asked!
"Did they provide evidence?!" I argue, trying not to let the tears fall. "....yes." Cherry answers, handing me an old Polaroid picture of myself.
A Polaroid picture I recognize anywhere. Because I took it for one specific person.
Eddie reported me?
Shakily, I take the picture.
"I'm so sorry, Ally..." Betty apologizes, genuinely saddened. "Rules are rules." I nod my head, picking my things back up. "No. It's fine..." I insist, turning and walking out the gym before they can see me cry. As I walk out, I head towards the bathroom immediately, deciding to take the rest of the day off.
I lock myself into a stall before letting out loud sobs.
After a few minutes of crying, my hands tear through my backpack, pulling out all the packs of cigarettes I have hidden inside. There's about 4 boxes.
An idea runs through my mind, and I exit the bathroom. Then I exit the school.
The school sweetheart is skipping school.
