Brotherly Advice
I think that Beau would look a lot like Caspar tbh, but just to let you know, Caspar isn't Beau :)
And yes, I am aware of the song choice XD

Monday 4th September, 3:34pm.
I saw Phil Smith walk down the hallway towards Mr Butler's classroom, and I couldn't help but laugh. He looked at me, quite angry, but I feel like him and anger don't really fit. So far, his personality doesn't really shout aggressive, so he looks like a puppy trying to pounce on a toy, eyeing it up before chasing. I have to admit, he is quite cute.
"Come on, Dan! We need to get to the bus stop before I miss my bus!" Chris spoke up, interrupting my thoughts and grabbing me and PJ by the arm. He practically dragged us to the bike rack so me and PJ could get our bikes.
"Chris, I think you need to calm-"
"No I don't! My parents have a strict curfew of 3:45 and my bus gets me to my stop for 3:40 so I don't have to run, and-"
"Please Chris, just calm down!" I interrupted, mounting my bike and starting to pedal out of the school gates. "You'll get there on time, trust me." PJ pushed forward, leaving Chris running to catch up, beads of sweat running down his face.
"Guys, I-I can't-keep-up." He shouted between breaths, stopping to catch some. Me and PJ caught each other's glance, and carried on pedalling. "Oh come on!" And another smirk appeared on mine and PJ's faces. The evil within me is starting to sprout even more.
"You're the person who wanted to get to the bus stop on time!" PJ cackled, stopping as we reached the long pole on the pavement.
"Gotta go fast!" I grinned, watching Chris almost crawl towards us. Then his bus arrived, in which he grabbed £1.55 from his pocket and began to board the bus.
"I didn't mean to go that fast!" He panted, before turning to the driver and handing him the money. Chris grabbed a seat at the back and plugged his earbuds into his phone, drowning out any surrounding noises. Me and PJ waved goodbye, hopping onto our bikes and beginning to cycle home.
"Where do you live?" PJ asked, which made me slightly scared. What if he wanted me to come around? Or he wanted to come around mine? I am not prepared for either option.
"Gilbert Avenue, why?" I responded, shaking on the inside. (Shake it off, Daniel)
"Oh! I live in the neighbouring estate! Maybe we could hang out sometime? Chris lives further away, and I have no clue about Phil. But still, how does that sound?"
"Snazzy." I replied as we pulled up to PJ's estate, which was called 'Long Street'. "Bye peej!"
"It ain't no lie baby bye bye bye!" PJ joked as he cycled up the road towards his house, leaving just me. At least he didn't want to come around, how would I explain to him that my parents want total control of the earth but my brother's a wannabe psychologist? I'd have to think about that tonight.
Twisting the key into the lock, I opened the door to find my mother cooking some sort of stew and my brother sitting in the lounge on his computer.
"Helllooooo!" I shouted, dropping my bag on the floor and dragging my bike in with me. Beau got off his laptop and helped me carry the bike into the back garden.
"How was it?" Mum shouted from the kitchen, I walked back indoors and took a seat at the dining table.
"It was alright, to be honest. No proper sight of that turquoise boi."
"What? Blue? That's good. Any of the girls?"
"Nope, not one." I sighed, "I'm gonna go upstairs and do this stupid sociology homework. The teacher is a very angry guy, especially after today."
"What happened?" Mum asked, leaning towards me in curiosity.
"Well, let's just say paper aeroplanes plus a good liar equals another boy in trouble." I chuckled, getting up and grabbing the books from my bag. Mum just laughed, stirring the stew with her wooden spoon.
"Ok sweetie, if you need anything just ask!"
I ran up the creaky stairs to my bedroom. It was painted white with squares of black to decorate, it looked more like a chess board than a wall, but I like it. A bed sat against the west wall, the duvet matching the walls themselves. Next door to the bed were two black bedside tables, covered in books and other miscellaneous items. There was a piano in the north-east corner and just random items piled on the beige carpet around the rest of the room.
I sat on the bed and plugged my phone charger into the socket, the green battery flashing on my phone before returning to my home screen. It was a picture of me, Beau, Conor, and Jack after we burnt down a building as a distraction so we could go to the HMV sale in Oxford Street before anyone else. We bought so much merchandise that day it was unbelievable.
I was wearing my new Muse t-shirt as I tried to take the selfie, Jack in the background was hugging his new Marvel poster, Beau was throwing around all the wristbands for his collection, and Conor was fanning himself with his new heavy metal CDs. We were sitting on a rooftop at the time, snacking on Burger King as the sun shined brightly in our eyes. I miss the days where I could do whatever I wanted with my friends, but now that restricted with not only more missions, but schoolwork and responsibilities. I don't know how Beau can handle all the work he has to do for his scholarship. Speak of the devil.
"Hello younger brother," he spoke, jumping on the bed. His All Time Low wristband bounced on his wrist, which he bought on the day we went out on the rooftop. I sighed, and he seemed concerned by it. "Did school not go very well?"
"It did, but I just feel very drained of energy and I wish I didn't have to do this. It's only the first day and I feel horrible!" I flopped backwards on my bed, my back hitting the memory-foam mattress. Beau laid back as well, both of us staring at my black and white ceiling.
"Dan, you don't need to worry. Children have been doing this their whole lives; getting up at ridiculous times in the mornings, trying to stay awake and not throw up in the class after lunch, they've done this on the daily. This is your first day, you've never had to go to school in your life, and when you've had to do coursework, you do it in your own time at your own pace. It's alright if you feel tired and upset, I would too, but take this as a chance to try out a different life and make some new friends. Restrain yourself from using powers unless it's a desperate situation, and try living like a human."
"Yeah, but I'm meant to find information, and I'm still confused."
"That's what I'm about to explain. Firstly, you need to observe the ways a human reacts to a certain situation, and whether you have to create a situation you'll have to figure out at the time. Is that a better explanation?" I nodded as we both sat up. "Alrighty. Secondly, it's about your contact lenses. Do not, I repeat, do not stay in school for over six hours. If that means an after school club, study club, or detention, try to avoid all three at all costs. Don't even go to a friend's house after school. Just come straight home and you can go out after."
"Why? What would actually happen?" I questioned, which is when Beau pulled out his phone, opened up the front camera, and showed me my face. My eyes had gone back to black, empty eyeballs yet my contact lenses were still in.
"Yeah, that will happen slowly after six hours of having them in. Comprendo?" I nodded in response, "Bueno. Finally, dad said to give you these." Beau handed me three capsules full of neon-green liquid, labelled '5-30 minutes', '30-60 minutes' and '60 mins - 1 day'. "These are amnesia potions, splash this on someone and they'll forget whatever happened involving you in the certain time period selected. Works good on teachers, bullies, annoying friends, but it won't work on anyone else with powers, meaning you can't go splashing me if you trash my room." I put them in my pocket, wondering who I could use them on. 'Mr Butler, obviously.' "Anyways, enough boring stuff, did you make any humanoid friends?"
"Umm kind of, I'm friends with my new 'buddies', PJ and Chris, and there's this new guy called Phil Smith who has hair darker than my eyes and nerdy glasses. I - for some reason - get on well with PJ, but Phil seems alright. He tries to be all cool and full of manly emotions, but he just fails."
"Are you sure he isn't Blue Lester?"
"He doesn't have ginger hair and doesn't look as manly as Blue, in fact, he looks more wimpy than me in the mornings."
"And that's saying something." Beau chuckled, I punched him playfully on the arm, but I did kind of ask for that response in a way. "Either way, I think you'll be fine. Just avoid strangers; use the amnesia potion when needed; don't be at school for over six hours; and, keep-"
"Your friends close, and your enemies closer. I know," I smiled as Beau ruffled my hair, which I got pretty annoyed about.
"Cool beans," he got up and began to exit through the white-as-snow door, "if you ever need me, just call. I'm going to be at home for a while now, so just know I'm here when needed." Then he exited, and I was left alone.
