09: Guest

I didn't know what to do. Should I go to his house or spend this shivering night outside? Min Yoongi. I didn't like that guy. He bullied me for no reason. Whenever I look at him, I found his eyes filled with deep, mysterious, and dangerous things or should I say feelings. I didn't know what was wrong with him, still, I had no other option but to go to his house.

'But he's your bully, girl. He looks like he'll do something wrong to you once he got a chance.' My angel said with knitted brows.

'But she has to.' The devil said, concerned, crossing his arms.

"Try to be strong, Ivy. Everything'll be fine," I spoke to myself.

What if he changed his mind? I didn't know whether he really wanted me as his paying guest or he was just kidding, but I prayed that he took my problem seriously. I wondered where his house was and remembered about his card. I took it out from my jeans back pocket; it looked like a business card but it was simple yet stylish. The card was black with golden letters that spelled his name 'Min Yoongi' at the top.

His number and address were right down his name in white cursive as if he wanted to highlight his name especially. I rolled my eyes, thinking how much creativity one could do with a small piece of paper. Anyway, after booking a taxi, I started my journey toward his house.

When the vehicle started, I rested my head on the taxi's seat, a deep sigh escaping my lips. In a snap, an image appeared in my mind.

"Jin," I mumbled and sighed again.

I couldn't understand, but my heart sank, feeling miserable. He was the only person I believed in other than my parents. I knew no matter what happened that I could believe in him 'cause I thought I knew him. He was my first and only friend. And now we were nothing. I didn't know why he did that, but I knew I wouldn't be able to recover from the shock ever again.

I would never be able to easily trust somebody. A tear escaped from my eyes and I wiped it away. I didn't even notice that I had already reached my destination. Raising my eyebrow, I looked out of the taxi's window. With my handkerchief, I wiped the tears away, smiling brightly and handing the money to the taxi driver.

"Thank you." I walked out of the taxi. After placing my suitcase on the ground, I took a look at the house.

It was a two-floored building, painted in light yellow and light blue at some places. Small. Normal. Peaceful. I liked it. I sighed as I opened the small gate and entered. My heart beat fastened as I took every step closer to the door and stood in front of it. Before ringing the doorbell, I glanced at my wristwatch-it was eleven twenty.

I looked around and found a dark street, a dim street light brightening the place. Even the houses were dark, except for some, which meant everyone was already asleep. Fortunately, Suga was still up 'cause I noticed the lights of his house were on and a light sound of music escaped from the wooden door.

I took a deep breath, but my scared heart didn't calm. Gathering enough courage, I pressed the doorbell. My heart beat erratically. After a few seconds, I noticed the doorknob turning. I stood straighter.

When the door opened, the song became clearer-it was a Korean song of an unknown singer. My eyes widened as I saw Suga, a cold drink can in his hand. He wore his casual look until he noticed who I was. For a second, he froze. I was shocked and scared at the same time, but I tried my best to smile.

His eyes widened, and he choked on his drink, coughing violently. He put a hand on his face to stop from choking. It was as if he still couldn't believe that I was standing there. I was puzzled, and the moment I took a step closer to help him, he closed the door with a loud thud.

I jumped at his sudden action, biting my inner cheeks. My brows knitted as my mind filled with confusion.

What was I going to do now? Where would I search a place to stay at this hour? I knew it. I knew it! He never really wanted me as a paying guest; he was just kidding. I was about to walk away when the door opened again, revealing Suga. The music was gone now.

I fixed my eyes on the floor. There was dead silence until he spoke.

"You-" I looked up with wide eyes. "Here?" He completed his question, water dripping down his wet hair. It looked like he splashed a handful of water on his face.

"I, um." I fiddled with my clothes as I noticed him giving me a head-to-toe look.

"Come in." He took a step back. I stood there for a second.

"Am I allowed to go in?" I mentally asked myself looking at him like an idiot.

"Come. In."

I nodded hesitantly, walking inside and taking my heavy suitcase as he closed the door behind me. After neatly placing my shoes in the shoe case, I gathered my courage to look at him. He was standing there, eyebrows knitted.

Why was he acting so weirdly? He scared the crap out of me. My heart was beating so fast I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and sheepishly smiled. He nodded, looking at the wall, seemingly thinking about something.

"Follow me," he said, looking at me. I nodded.

He started to walk toward a staircase. The house wasn't big or too fashionable; it was normal yet clean-a typical boy's house. Everything was in the right place.

I noticed a room with a different door. I also noticed a lot of snacks and drinks on the dining table after passing by when something hard yet soft hit my head. I looked up and found Suga.

What the hell was wrong with him? My eyes widened as I tried to speak.

"I, um," I bit my lower lip, looking down.

"Control your eyes," he said.

I managed to walk on the stairs and toward the room where I was supposed to stay. We stood before the room's door.

"Your room." He pointed toward the door. I nodded and waited for him to ask me about something.

"So," he started, his face unusually wearing a confused expression.

"So, this is your room." He scratched the back of his neck. "Do have any questions?"

"Yeah, how much do I have to pay?" With furrowed brows he looked at me with full attention as he nodded slightly thinking deeply about the matter as if he hadn't even decided my rent amount.

"Ten dollars." He said biting his lower lip.

Wait, what? Ten dollars? I was so happy. A smile appeared on my face.

I just couldn't believe my ears.

"Are you serious?" I wanted to ask him.

Every month just ten dollars. I knew my luck was shining.

"-every day," he completed, smirking.

My mouth fell open as I gave him a look of disbelief.

"Are you serious?" Three words slipped from my lips which I regretted afterward.

"So you think I'm kidding?" He came closer to me and leaned his face near me.

"N-No! I'm just, um," I muttered and bit my inner cheeks.

"Hm, just to make it clear, you want a room? Yes or no?" He put his hands in his trouser's pockets. What should I do now?

I really wanted a room, but he was asking for too much money. It was costly for me, but I accepted 'cause I had no choice.

"Yes, I'd want a room."

"Good!" He opened the door. "Get in."

I nodded and moved inside with my suitcase, looking around at the neat and organized room.

"Don't touch anything," he said as I turned around and he slammed the door on my face before leaving.

What the hell he meant by that?

Knitting my brows I thought how confusing this person was.

Letting my legs hang on the edge of the bed, I sat comfortably. The rent price was expensive, and it was impossible for me to give him ten dollars every freaking day.

"Anyways you have to face it Ivy. It's your headache now." I mentally told myself sighing.

Maybe I had to take some part-time job. I took out my phone and started searching for vacancies.

"And," the voice almost made me jump as I looked up and saw Suga leaning against the door, looking at me with a smirk.

He told me not to touch anything and here I was sitting on the bed, breaking his first order. I froze and stared at him with a scared face. My heart started to beat at light speed again, and I found myself sweating badly.

"You're such an idiot!" he said, turning around and walking out of the room.

I was confused. What did he mean by that, and why would he call me that?

"The rent is thirty thousand won per month, idiot!"

I opened my mouth, but before I could say something, he slammed the door shut on my face again. I closed my mouth. What the heck was that? He was just kidding. I couldn't believe my ears. A smile escaped from my pinkish lips. I looked down at the floor, the carpet was soft and comfortable as I rubbed my legs against it.

I was so happy. I didn't have to do part-time jobs anymore. Yes, I knew it. I knew it! I was so lucky. I started to dance weirdly out of happiness. I knew my dancing was trash but it didn't really matter 'cause no one was going to judge my dance performance anyway.

I danced until a thing almost made me jump. My eyes widened, the thing that scared the hell outta me was a picture-Suga's picture. He was staring at me with his usual dead serious look, wearing a leather jacket and holding a guitar. No matter how much I tried to ignore the thought, my inner devil knew he looked so damn sexy in that framed picture.

I looked away as I started to take my stuff out of my suitcase and placed them in their rightful places. I took out my shorts and an oversized T-shirt and opened my jeans button until I noticed someone. Not someone. Something. The picture-Suga's picture.

He was staring at me; it made me feel uncomfortable even though I knew it was just a picture. So I decided to change in the joint personal bathroom that I discovered a minute ago. After changing I walked out of the bathroom and looked around. The room was just too simple. Of course, it looked like a boy's room. It was simple. Neat. Organized. And keyboard was at a corner which I didn't dare to touch.

I made my bed. I wasn't feeling hungry anymore after the pizza I had before. I yawned and took a glance at the clock-it was one in the morning. I was about to turn the lights off when sounds from outside caught my attention. I opened the door a bit and popped my head out, looking down at the staircase toward the entrance and finding Suga opening the door, revealing V along with Jungkook and Rapmonster.

Suga welcomed each of them with his casual gummy smile. They all looked happy and excited as they made enough noise to interrupt someone's peaceful sleep. I saw how everyone gave Suga a light hug as they walked inside one by one. They didn't notice me upstairs; here the lights were off and one could barely see something.

The second Suga closed the door, the doorbell rang again. He opened it, revealing Jhope and Jimin. They also made some happy noises and gave him light hugs as Jimin showed everyone the alcohols and food he bought for everyone. It looked like they were having a party.

I wondered where Jin was until I noticed him walking inside after Jhope, his hands stuffed inside his jeans pockets and his face carrying a serious look. I noticed how he gave a small smile to Suga and walked inside toward the others without giving him a hug and saying a word. His face didn't carry the brightness he usually had.

Maybe I knew the reason behind it. Maybe not. I moved inside my room and sighed, shutting the door and locking it. They looked so happy together. I once wished to have friends. Maybe I used to have one, too. At least I had the merry company of Irene, Boa, Hana, and Suzy in college.

I didn't want to remember the things that happened to me yesterday. I switched the lights off and lay on the comfortable soft bed, and after tugging myself under the warm blanket, I slowly closed my eyes.

I could still hear the noises from downstairs along with the loud music but I was too stressed out and it didn't even take me a second to drift off to sleep.

***

"Your hair smells nice."

I heard a raspy voice.

When I opened my eyes, the room was dark, making me puzzled for a second.

What was happening?

A chill ran down my spine as I felt a warm breath on my neck.

You know what XD the thing is that for a long time I was thinking that GIRL!!!

You had already made JIN the center of attention in the first five six chapters and Suga is barely visible somewhere like he is acting like a ghost in all those previous chapters lol...

So I was wondering that whether I was writing a Suga FF or a Jin-ah Oppa FF.....

Anyways so now I tried and succeeded to keep Sugar the center of attention...

'....You just want attention... You don't want my love....'
