Rainy nights; a soothing melody, (a)
‎ Thunder rumbles, an uncanny parody. (v)
‎ Lightening flashes, a brilliant sight, (a)
‎ And I wonder if I'll last the night. (v)
‎
‎ Thoughts gathering like dark clouds, (a)
‎ Like a dark illusion my vision shrouds. (v)
‎ Fear lingers with every raindrop, (a)
‎ Until, the sun shines and everything stops. (v)
‎
‎ Shadows shrink and hope takes hold, (a)
‎ And a new dawn begins to unfold. (v)
The night is over, this dawn is mine, (a)
And here I stand stronger in the sunshine. (v)
