I woke up, rubbed my eyes and looked at the floor where Ariana should be sleeping. But she wasn't there. I laid there for a few more minutes and thenbdecided to get up. I went to the kitchen. First thing I saw was five big bags full of groceries. Then I noticed my mom and Ariana eating ommeletes.

"Come eat Liza." My mom said and handed me a plate with ommeletes.

"What were you doing with Ariana mom?" I teased. "I thought you didn't like her."

"We were talking. And she's pretty nice." My mom said. I looked at Ariana and she was slightly blushing.

"Can we go visit dad later?" I asked. My mom nodded.

"I can drive... If you'd like... mrs Koshy." Ariana said.

"Of course you can drive. And call me Tanya." My mom said with a wide smile. She's finally warming up to Ariana.

After breakfast we got dressed and went to the hospital. Ariana drove us. When we got there we went to my dad's room. My dad was eating.

"Hey dad." I said. He slightly waved. My mom went up to him and kissed him on the cheek. Ariana waved slightly.

"What is she doing here? I thought you said you didn't want her here Tanya." My dad got a bit louder.

"Well, she's living with us. Her mom kicked her out for hanging out with Liza because we have way less money." My mom explained. "And I guess I was wrong. She is nice. I guess you should never judge a book by its cover." My mom added and smiled at Ariana. Ariana looked at the ground right after that.

"When can you come home, dad?" I asked.

"Probably in a few days. Sometime next week probably." He replied. I'm so happy he can return home soon. Then the nurse came in.

"Oh, your family's here." She said. "Are you full?" She asked, seeing the half eaten food.

"I'll eat it later. You can just leave it." My dad said. "I don't want it to go to waste." He added and the nurse smiled.

"Your dauthers are so beautiful." The nurse said.

"I-I'm not actually his dauther." Ariana suddenly said.

"Yes you are. As long as you're in staying in our house you're part of the family." My mom said and I nodded.

After a few hours we got home and we just watched tv and talked for the rest of the day. I'm mostly happy that my mom doesn't hate Ari. And she accepts her. Unlike her real mother.
