After school we said our goodbyes and Ari and I went to her car and drove home. Right before Ariana wanted to drive away Colleen jumped in front of the car.

"I could've killed you!" Ariana shouted.

"Sorry. I just wanted to ask you if you two would like to come to my place." Colleen asked.

"Why not? Ari?" I asked. She looked down.

"I don't know. I'm scared. What if my mom sees me?" Ariana asked.

"You're not alone, Ari." Colleen comforted and I nodded. "C'mon. Gabbie will be there as well. Plus, I'd like to build my friendship with you again." Colleen said.

"Okay. We'll go to your house." Ariana said. Colleen showed her a thumbs up, smiled and went into her car. Then we followed her. "I really don't wanna see my mom." She said suddenly.

"It's okay. You maybe can't count on me because I'm afraid to say anything, but Colleen and Gabbie aren't afraid to speak up if you can't." I said.

"I guess you're right." She confirmed. Then we stopped and exited the car. We arrived. We entered and the worst possible person was there. Ariana's mom.

"Hey girls." Gwen greeted us. Joan's face was filled with disgust. She looked at Ariana with that look and Ariana broke down. "Ariana? Is everything okay?" Gwen asked when she saw her. Ariana shook her head.

"I'm fine." She said when she calmed down a little bit.

"Then why would you cry?" Gwen asked. "Joan?" Gwen turned to Joan.

"I don't know why. It's not like I kicked her out. She's happy and has no reason to cry." Joan said. Colleen then groaned angrily and spoke up.

"That's exactly what she did! She did kick her out!" Colleen shouted out.

"Colleen. Stop." Ariana tried stopping Colleen in her words.

"No Ari. I can't take it. You're going through hell while your 'sweet, little' mother enjoys her mansion that she has for herself. And admit that there isn't enough space for you at Liza's. Where are you even sleeping?" Colleen asked.

"On the floor." Ariana said and looked down.

"Joan? How could you? She's your daughter." Gwen said. "Take her back." Gwen demanded.

"I'm not gonna take her back because she isn't the daughter I want." Joan said and Ariana spoke up after that.

"Then why am I even alive? You always told me you loved me, so what happened? And if you don't love me I don't love the life I got. Being rich and having money is great, but it can't buy you happiness. And you don't do that for me anymore either." Ariana said.

"Wow, that was a lot." Gabbie said. Then Joan took her purse and walked out.

"Ariana, I didn't know she turned into such a monster." Gwen said.

"It's okay." Ariana comforted.
