Friendship

"Did you cry?" I asked. She nodded lightly. "Why?" I asked again.

"I don't wanna be in your way." She said. "I should go." She added and started walking towards the door. She stopped halfway and turned to Gabbie. "I'm sorry. It was my fault Colleen beat you up. I gave her 1000 fucking dollars so that she wouldn't be friends with you. I'm sorry." She said and then walked out.

"What the hell just happened?" Gabbie said.

"I just told her to apologise. Nothing else." I said.

"I'm sorry too. I overreacted. I just got mad." She said.

"No, it's okay. It was my fault. I didn't know you feel like that about them." I said.

"I was mad. I felt like you don't wanna hang out with me anymore." She said. I almost broke down. But I held the tears back.

"I was just so focused on Ariana and Colleen that I just forgot. I tried finally making friends, but I already had everything here. Right in front of me." I said. I tried holding the tears back. I think Gabbie noticed and she hugged me for comfort.

"Let's go downstairs." She said and I nodded. We went downstairs to the couch where my mom was laying.

"Oh, sit down." My mom said.

"Mom, we can go somewhere else." I said. She shook her head.

"Just sit here." She said. We sat down. "Why did Ariana leave so soon?" She asked. I looked at Gabbie.

"Uhh, she had to go." I lied. "Her mom texted her." Gabbie nodded. Then we just chilled out and watched a bit of tv.

"I'll go grab something." Gabbie said and left the house. She was back in fifteen minutes and went to the kitchen. She put something in our old microwave. Then she took a bowl and brought us popcorn.

"You didn't have to go home to get popcorn. You could've taken ours." My mom said.

"No, I wanted to do that." Gabbie replied. We relaxed and watched movies until late in the night.
