Chapter 7
Although Keith didn't want to (like really did not want to) he eventually got out of bed that morning.
The two boys were forced by Shiro to attend their second day of school. It was un-entertaining. Then they had to attend their third day. And fourth. And fifth. Until finally, it was the weekend.
It all happened fast, Lance made amends with Pidge and Hunk, they became friends quickly. Now Keith was part of the group as well.
The four would eat lunch together, study together, and really be together anytime they didn't have classes.
Keith loved it.
He got to see Lance.
However he would never ever let anyone know how much fun he was really having. This was the first time he hadn't really been completely alone in high school.
Lance liked it too. He really did miss Pidge and Hunk, and now he got to spend time with Keith too.
It was great.
Now, after their first week of school the little group was absolutely exhausted.
They all sat on pidges couch and vented about how much they hated homework, teachers, annoying classmates, and anything else that made high school suck.
"The cafeteria hasn't even been handing out sandwiches yet this year." Hunk sighed. "Can you imagine?" He looked around the room. No one was as upset as him.
"The computer lab changed all their tech. And no one even bothered to try and fix the connection, so now they all run slowly and take even longer to update." Pidge ranted as they laid back on the couch more.
At that moment Lances phone vibrated. This took all of the teenagers out of their state of ranting, which was hard to do.
Lance pulled the phone out of his pocket and glanced at the name.
Zain.
Lance quickly stood up and leaned against the wall of Pidge's living room so no one would see the text. The three remaining on the couch stared at him, questioningly.
"Who is it?" Pidge said curiously.
"Just my mom" Lance said flatly.
Zain: party at my place tonight. You in? Bring ur little boy toy and all your new friends.
Lance: not interested.
Zain: you sure? I'd love to tell everyone your secret while you're gone.
Lance: you wouldn't.
Zain: try me
Lances stomach dropped. He knew this whole thing was lame. Zain was probably just making empty threats. And even if he did tell people Lance was gay, it's unlikely people would believe him. But he couldn't take the chance. His phone buzzed again.
Zain: see you tonight.
Ps, it may be a good time
for you to complete the deal
"Guys..." Lance said to the three on the couch. "How do you feel about parties?"

It took a lot of convincing on lances part to get all three of them in his car. He bribed Hunk with food, told Keith that Zain's dad had an amazing weapons collection, and told Pidge the house was amazingly high tech, and they would be able to check out their security system and things. The amazing part was, none of this was a lie. They would be able to check out all of Zain's amazing stuff. Meanwhile Lance would be dealing with Zain himself. And "finishing their deal" like Zain's final text said. whatever that meant.
As Lance drove his car towards the party he got more and more nervous. He didn't know what people would think of his friends, or what his friends would think of everyone. He was terrified of what Zain would do, and he didn't like the idea of him meeting Keith.
As he pulled up in front of the house he stepped out of the car and opened the door for Keith, he was so nervous he didn't even think about it. Keith blushed furiously and smiled at Lance, who had a distant look on his face. Keith squeezed his hand slightly as he stepped out of the car "are you ok?" He whispered.
"I'm fine" Lance said with a fake smile.
Pidge and Hunk got out of the car and they all began to walk towards the house. "Remember, every single person here is most likely a shallow ass" Lance said as he walked to the door.
Pidge pressed the doorbell, looking around at all the cameras and the amazing size of the house. It was huge. It was white with a garage in the front that could fit at least 5 cars. There were lots of Windows, and a perfect garden lining the brick pathway leading up to the tall, dark wood door.
The huge door swung open, revealing the huge interior of the house. A marble looking staircase curled up one of the walls and a chandelier hung from the ceiling. Zain came from behind the door and made eye contact with Lance, then Keith.
"Laaance!" Zain said pulling him in for a hug. Lance smiled and patted him on the back loudly. "Come on in. You know where everything is here by now dude. Most people are out by the pool" Zain said as Lance stepped inside, followed by Pidge and then Hunk. Zain looked at Keith and smiled. "You must be Keith." He said with a smile. Keith nodded kindly as he walked passed Zain. Lance was watching them carefully, then Zain turned towards him and mouthed "he's cute" raising his eyebrows to mock Lance.
Lance rolled his eyes and walked into the large kitchen. He pulled out some sodas as Keith leaned against the counter near him.
Hunk was already outside by the pool, at all the snack tables. Pidge was looking at Zain's almost futuristic computers. Music was blasting and teenagers were screaming outside.
This was lances hell.
