Hey guys!
So this is my first story on wattpad. I am honestly so worried about what you all will think... And wondering if anyone will even read it... Anyway, here goes nothing.
Also, the song above is what I imagine Lance playing in the car on the way to school.

          "Lace wake up" squeaked a little voice
    "Lance! Wake uuuup!!" This time the voice shook the 16 year old back and forth. The tan skinned surfer boy reached up to push the hair out of his eyes, and peeked at the little boy causing all the noise.
      With a raspy voice the teenager said "Andy what are you doing?"
Lance's little brother bounced up and down continuously and then yelled "momma told me to wake you up!".
Lance groaned and glanced at his alarm clock. It was already 6:30 and he had to be at school by 7:30.
      "Breakfast is ready" Lances mother screamed up the stairs to the other five children in the house. With that, Andy sprinted out of the room towards something more important, waffles.
Lance quickly checked his phone and saw texts from all of his friends and at least 20 different social media notifications.
      The brunette teen was used to the attention... And didn't think much of it.
He slowly moved his legs towards the edge of the bed and sat up.
He flicked the glass of his fish tank so that his pet, named princess by his sisters, would flip back over. The small creature always pretended to be dead.
Lance pulled his closet open and grabbed a blue shirt (his favorite color) and pulled on some black skinny jeans. He then ran into the bathroom, shut the door behind him and began to fix his short hair with a thin comb.
      "Are you done yet" an angry voice called. This meant Wesley was awake. Lance opened the door "hello there sunshine" he said to his slightly younger brother. Wesley grunted and pushed past him. Then he headed downstairs.
      "Buenos días madre" lance said as he wrapped his arms around his small mother in a warm embrace.
She hugged him back with a smile.
"Buenos días!"
Lance and his mother were basically the two only people in the entire McLain household that could actually maintain a conversation in Spanish. Lances older brother, Andrew could as well, but he was gone at college.
"Lance, Wesley let's go! We cannot be late on our first day back to high school" a feminine voice called from the other room. Lance grabbed a handful of fruit, kissed all his little siblings on their foreheads and ran out of the kitchen.
      His older sister, Ivy, was swinging her keys around her finger.
"Took you long enough" she said with a smirk. Lance admired his older sister. She was much like his mother, very strong and independent. Her coloring was the same as everyone in the family, except she has bright green eyes like their father.
      Soon after Lance, Wesley came jogging down the stairs. His hair had just been trimmed and it was finally approved by Lance. It was getting close to mullet length the week before, Lance had always hated long hair on men.
      Wesley wore a very athletic outfit, and looked much like a mini version of Lance with his trimmed hair.
"Goodbye everyone" Ivy screamed to the rest of the family as she ushered the two boys out of the house, slamming the door behind them.
      "Shotgun" Lance said with a smirk.
The three teens climbed into the old banged up jeep, and headed towards their prison for the next 10 or so months.

     Lance opened the door of the white car, and hopped out. His feet hit the parking lot of Lewis High. He gazed at the school, smirking. He knew this would be another amazing high school year, because The last two had been spectacular.
      The siblings walked into the main entrance and immediately split ways, calling their goodbyes as they headed to their different destinations. Lance ran to his friends, doing handshakes and mentioning inside jokes to all the people he hadn't seen over the last two summer months.
      Lance and his friends talked for what felt like forever, when finally the bell rang. This meant he had five minutes to get to class.
      He sprinted to his locker, threw the un-needed items in and ran to biology after checking his schedule.
Lance was sprinting down the hallway when he hit something hard and got knocked of his feet.
He fell right on his ass.
"Geez man watch where you're going" he looked the stranger in the eye and his mouth fell open.
Keith Kogane quickly stood up and silently held a hand out to help the brunette boy. Lance couldn't stop looking at his eyes. They were such a strange color... He didn't even know what to call it. He was forced back into reality when Keith grabbed his arm and pulled him up.
    "You watch where you're going" then he walked away.
      Lance stood there awestruck for a moment. Keith Kogane touched his hand. Lance immediately had butterflies in his stomach.

His mind was racing. He couldn't believe it. That black haired boy was Lance's first real crush. In middle school he left love notes in his locker and would sign them with the name blue lion. His favorite animal and color.    How creative.
However when Lance hit high school he had to force his crush away, and there were two main reasons (among many) it would never work out. One, the two boys were in completely different social groups. Lance was cool. And he knew it. No one really talked to Keith... He wasn't unkind, he just didn't seem to enjoy people. And most people were intimidated by him.
Two, Lance was still absolutely positively sure that he was not gay. Not even bisexual.
He somehow thought the small crush he had on Keith was just a middle school phase. He was done with it.

Until this moment.

Okay guys so that was the first chapter! I am honored you are reading this because I honestly didn't think anyone was going to.
I apologize for such a short chapter, but because it is such a short introduction I will make the next chapter muchhhhh longer if people show interest.
