His Hobby

"What are you two doing here?"

Parties had always been my escape. From reality, I mean. You could have any girl you want and the next day, it would be like the both of you didn't just commit a sin. Except you did those good girls, then you are fucked.

Keisha's party had already started two hours ago and from the looks of it, it wasn't going to be a big one.

Ciara stood in front of the door with her arms folded over her chest. She met my bored look with a glare and it took everything in me not to roll my eyes at her.

"Who made you the bouncer?" Mark gibed and Ciara gave him a once over before flipping her blond hair at him.

"You shut it." She scoffed then stepped aside for us to enter. "And I am not the bouncer, I am just waiting for Zac."

"You do that now." I ruffled her hair and she quickly smacked me in the butt before I could run away from her.

"Jeez," I whined as I rubbed the sore spot then scowled at Mark who chuckled. "Not funny."

He shrugged then looked away. "It is."

Thanks to my being 'bullied', my parents had almost put up a fight when I told them I was going to Mark's. If I told them it was a party, that would have been a definite no. Taking Mark along was never my plan but his sister was out and I felt bad when I saw him watching TV all alone. I am weak to him, I just can't.

Keisha's party was my favorite kind of party. The music was at a low volume and the smell of alcohol and blunt hit me so hard, I almost stumbled. Mark stuck close behind me, greeting the people that said hi to him and it amused me how normal he could act around me after everything that happened between us yesterday. Me breaking up our friendship then making up and him knowing how I feel and not daring to mention it.

It was good but I felt somewhat annoyed that he hadn't confronted me about it. I wouldn't dare do it because the last time I told him about how I felt about him, I woke up in the hospital. Thinking back, I wondered if he ever came to see me.

"Hey." Tom waved from the entrance of the kitchen and Mark walked past me to give him their usual hug making me frown when the familiar wave of jealousy hit me.

"'Sup." I stalked closer to him and he smiled at me before handing me a cup of whatever he was drinking. "What's in it?" I asked.

Tom smirked. "Guess." He winked before turning to Mark. "So, Mark would you be busy this weekend?"

"Why?"

"I want us to practice. Coach got us a game and Ian, would you like to join? You missed the last game and coach seriously wants to drop your ass."

I smiled weakly. "Sure. I'll be there."

"Great! Then the whole team's in." He nodded then finished his drink before handing the empty plastic cup to Mark. "Thanks man," he said before leaving us to join Vivian and Prim who were laughing about something with some dude I didn't know.

Mark suddenly crushed the plastic cup in his hand then sighed, tossing it on the floor. "That was really awkward."

"It was?" I cocked my head. "You both looked like you were flowing well."

Mark shook his head then stared at Tom with a look that had me frowning. "It was."

Looking away from him, I stared at the drink my hand and I downed it one gulp, wincing at the harsh taste. Vodka? Where had Keisha gotten it?

"Well, next time, you won't bully someone for the person they love." I said as I frowned at the empty cup.

Mark shook his head again. "It was more complicated than that."

He didn't give me the chance to ask him what he meant when he disappeared into the kitchen to meet Keith, a fellow player. Would have followed but I thought it was best I didn't. Besides, I did come here to escape from him.

"Well, if it isn't Ian."

Turning, I watched Yale walk up to meet me and was nice to give me another plastic cup like Tom had. He took a sip from his before continuing, "How are you doing? You look lonely?"

"I'm fine. Just a little weird. Don't worry, I'll be in party spirit soon, it's just taking its time."

"Then drink up." He smiled as he gestured to the cup in my hand and I did him the pleasure of taking a few gulps. My vision blurred slightly and I smiled when I felt my legs wobble.

Nodding, I let him lead me to where the crowd had gathered in a circle and I dropped beside Tom who chuckled when Yale whispered something to him.

"Is this everyone playing?" Keisha asked, taking her black curly hair in a loose bun. She got out a deck of cards then looked at me. "Ian, get ready to take the lead. And I hope you ain't drunk?"

"I'm not." I'm tipsy... I forgot to add and I only laughed when she tossed the deck at me. Shuffling it, I looked around the crowd and asked, "Okay, what are we playing?"

"King's cup!" Some girl I had seen a couple times hanging out with one of my team mates said then turned to the girl beside her and giggled.

I shook my head. "We have school tomorrow."

"I've got perfect attendance," Zac shrugged, draping his arm around Ciara's shoulders, "I don't mind missing one."

Quietly, I waited for anyone who wanted to pull out and when no one did, I grinned and ruffled the cards on the floor. Since I was an expert in almost all games relating to drinking, I explained the rules and what it meant when a card was picked and they all seemed to get it.

"Woah, that's a lot of drinking." Yale eyed his cup as it got filled up.

To start the game, everyone needed their cup filled with alcohol.

"It only gets worse." Zac teased as he set the center cup that was going to get filled up by the first three people who picked up a king. God bless the fourth person.

Clearing my throat, I called all their attention to me as I hovered my fingers over a card. "I will go first." I flipped over an Ace and everyone instantly groaned. "I guess it is chugging time."

Like everyone, I picked up my cup and took a big gulp out of it. Since I pulled an Ace, no one was supposed to stop until I stopped and boy was everyone pissed when I kept going. Lucky for them, the taste of the vodka finally caught up to me and it dropped the cup beside me.

"Damn Ian. You should have said you wanted us to get drunk on the first round." Prim rolled her eyes then made a face of disgust. "Keisha, next time, get something lighter."

"Whatever you say."

"Next is Tom," I said then waited for him to pick.

"King." He winked at the crowd then poured a little of his drink into the center cup. "I'm supposed to make a rule right?" I nodded and he continued, "Great. Seat beside that person you would like to have a same-sex relationship with."

"Seriously?" The crowd grumbled as they all looked for a partner. I didn't bother moving. It wasn't like I had someone I liked that was playing the game. Mark was off somewhere and it made me feel left out when everyone was paired.

"Ian? You don't have a partner." Someone pointed out and I shrugged. It wasn't like there was a spare person in the circle.

"Whatever. Movin' on. Yale."

Yale picked another Ace and everyone groaned- including me- when Yale kept going at it. By the time he was done, it was safe to say I wasn't just tipsy anymore. Then it went on to Zac who picked a number that made all they boys drink.

Beside me, Tom was drunkenly clinging on to Yale who didn't seem bother by it. And it had me wondering. I had encountered Rengar and Tyson before and their personality wasn't something I expected. Tyson was extremely extroverted and was all over people while Rengar was the opposite and kept to himself. When I saw them have sex, it felt so reversed it was like I didn't know them.

Looking at Tom and Yale now, if I hadn't known Rengar and Tyson, I would have said Tom was a big bottom. Who knows, I may be wrong or I may be right.

"Ian! It's your turn."

Tom snapped his fingers in front of my face and I oddly felt like sneezing.

"Ian, never have I ever..." Tom trailed off and I stared at him before awkwardly before realizing what he was saying.

"Oh yeah. Never have I ever...had sex with a guy." I smirked when Yale cursed and I was slightly amused when almost all the girls drank.

My friends were hoes... so what?

Someone stood up beside me and I turned to see Yale, stomping out of the circle. Tom quickly apologized for him then followed him. Me, having lost my interest a long time ago, took that moment to leave and I stalked after Tom and Yale, surprised they didn't even see me after them.

At some point, I thought I heard my name but I was getting too close to the room those two entered so I ignored it and walked up to the room they entered. Leaning my ears on the door, I waited to hear moans or something but it was dead silent and I wondered if they had, by any chance, noticed me and ran away.

But then I heard it, the soft muffled moans. I couldn't guess who they were from and it only made me more curious to know who was doing who.

Was this a bad thing? Ah fuck it, I don't care.

Taking a deep breath, I released it before slowly opening the door to spy on them. Inside Keisha's brother's room, Yale was on his hands and knees on his bed, his back arched as Tom slipped a finger inside him. My blood ran cold as I watched with excitement the way Tom whispered to Yale and he only responded with moans.

There was no way I was going to see them in the same light and I didn't care if the image before me was going to spoil how I perceived them. It was turning me on so there was no way I was going to leave. My heart skipped a beat when Yale moaned Tom's name and I couldn't believe how much I wanted to have Mark moaning my name at that minute. I wanted him to keep doing it as I stretched him with my fingers. I could almost imagine it, the look on Mark's face as he said my name.

"Ian?"

"Mark..."

"Ian, what are you doing?"

My eyes widened and I turned to see the boy of my fantasy's gaping at me like I had done the most bizarre thing in the world.

No, Mark. I am just a pervert...who is in love with you.
