Apology
(I really like making outfits, this is what Hanna is wearing today.
PS: Props to those of you who got the blind side reference in Home)
~back to the story~
The next day of school was almost as amazing as the first, even though Hana only had Education, Play Production, Orchestra, and Choir.
During Play Production, Tani taught her how to use the spotlight in the back of the theater while the actors playing Marius and Cosette rehearsed "Heart Full of Love." All through the song, Tani kept giggling like a madwoman behind Hana, sometimes even letting out a snort.
She raised an eyebrow at Tani. "What are you laughing at?" She asked, Tani stood there smiling like a monkey who just stole the biggest banana.
"You got any time to spare after
class? There's I want you to see. " Tani told Hana her face full of juvenile anticipation.
"Yeah, I have about 45 minutes before choir." Hana told her, turning the light to focus on Cosette.
Half an hour later, after blocking "Master of the House", Tani took Hana by the hand and dragged her to the front row of the auditorium where the girl playing Cosette and the boy playing Marius where going over the script.
"Emily!" Tani shouted, waving. The girl looked up from the script and smiled at Tani.
"Hey, how's it going?" The girl named Emily asked, as the boy looked up.
"Hiya Tani..." he started to say, but a look of realization washed over his face and a sudden fit of laughter overtook him. Tani joining soon after.
Hana and Emily looked at each other utterly befuddled.
"Hi, I'm Emily." Emily said in a slightly confused French accent, holding out her hand to Hana. "I'm Hana." Hana reapplied, shaking Emily's outstretched hand.
"And that numb scull," she pointed to the boy rolling on the floor laughing with Tani, "Is Kiuma."
"You guys seriously don't see it?" Tani asked, standing up and wiping the tears from her eyes. Hana and Emily stared at her in bewilderment.
"You look almost exactly like each other! You're basically the same person!" Kiuma told them, following Tani off the floor.
"Well..." Tani looked them over scrutinizing every difference. "Hana's hair is longer, Emily's eyes are blue not green, Hana is scrawnier, Emily's taller, and Hana's got a wicked shiner. But other than that, you could be twins!"
"I'm not scrawny..." Hana mumbled under her breath.
Emily looked down at herself, and then at Hana. "I kinda see it actually. That's pretty cool." She said with a sweet smile.
"Yeah, cool." Hana repeated, returning Emily's smile.
Emily looked to the watch on her right hand. "I'm late! See you guys later!" She shouted as she ran to the door across the auditorium.
"EMILY! I was gonna ask you to help me today!" Kiuma yelled to her. "Hana can do it! We're basically the same person, remember?" Emily teased before running out the door.
"Crap. I guess I should've asked earlier." Kiuma sighed in defeat. Hana looked from the door Emily just left from to Kiuma.
"If you have the sheet music, I can play out more difficult parts on the piano for you to practice." Hana offered.
Kiuma looked up at her with wide teary eyes. "You mean it?!" Hanna could barely nod before he grabbed her hand and dragged her over to a practice room. She saw Tani waving as the door closed behind her.
~Half an hour later~
"A heart full of lo-ove" Kiuma sang a little off-key, cringing when his voice cracked.
"Pretty good! But still a little flat, try using your diaphragm a bit more." Hana told him, placing her hand on her on her stomach and taking a deep breath. "See? Your stomach should move and not your chest because your breathing with your diaphragm instead of your lungs."
"It's just really hard without Emily singing the melody." Kiuma said burying his face in his script.
"If you don't mind my utter lack of vocal talent, I could try singing melody..." Hana offer nervously, playing out the notes on the keys.
"Yeah! That would be awesome!" Kiuma exclaimed, newly invigorated. "Ok, let's do do this..." Hanna said, playing the starting chords.
"A heart full of song
I'm doing everything all wrong
Oh God, for shame
I do not even know your name
Dear Mad'moiselle
Won't you say?
Will you tell?"......

"Geez Hana, I dunno why you think you're so bad. With some training, you could even give Emily a run for her money!" Kiuma exclaimed after they finished going through the song a few times.
"Haha, I don't think that's tru-"
BUZZ BUZZ
Hana was interrupted by her phone buzzing. She looked at the screen and saw a text from a number she didn't recognize.
Hanna,
Hi! This is Nori, I got your number from Subaru. Odd little question: where are you right now?
"I'm sorry. I think my friend is trying to stalk me, and doing a really bad job of it." Hana told Kiuma. Kiuma laughed, "Oh! Tell him to stalk you with chicken nuggets!" He suggested excitedly. Hana giggled
Hi Nori,
I'm in practice room 5 just off the auditorium in building 18. Why do you ask?
P.S. Chicken nuggets
Hana sent the message and waited, but Nori didn't text back. So Hana shrugged and played a few more chords. "How about we work on One Day Mor-" She was cut of by hard spastic knocking.
"Who the heck knocks like that?" Kiuma asked as he opened the door.
As soon as the door opened, Nori came crashing in, followed by Kato, who was carrying a fast food bag.
"Thank you, kind sir!" Kiuma said as he took the bag from Kato. Hana snorted with laughter when she saw Kiuma open the chicken nuggets as if he were opening a treasure chest.
"Hana! Auditorium!" Nori shouted as he grabbed her hand and dragged her down the hall and through the auditorium doors.
When Nori pushed her past the threshold, she saw about fifteen athletic guys turn to face her.
One of the boys, medium high with straight black hair stepped to the front of the pack and bowed. The rest of the boys followed suit.
"Asahina Hana, I am Goto Mikuni, and these are some of my baseball teammates. Please forgive me for injuring you yesterday!" The boy addressed her, facing the floor.
Hana looked around the auditorium, bewildered. And then she began to notice a few tall boys she recognized from the basketball team standing around the baseball team trying to look intimidating.
She bowed back at Goto. "Thank you very much for the apology. And I'm sorry for any trouble I've caused."
As Hana straightened her back, she saw most of the baseball team look to Nori, who nodded. The boys quickly vacated the auditorium, except for Goto.
"Are you sure you're ok?" He asked, walking over to her. Hana held a "thumbs up" sign with both hands.
"I'm absolutely sure." She said with a smile as Goto breathed a sigh of relief.
"Good work, Goat. I released you." Nori said, strutting up to Hana. "Sorry again." Goto told her before leaving the auditorium.
"You're welcome." Nori said with a goofy smile. Hana laughed as she made he way to the door. "Thank you guys." She called over her shoulder as she hurried off to choir with a huge grin on her face.
