Bleeding End Of The Night
Chapter 34: (Scarlet's pov)
As I took a deep breath and started to run, I felt a sudden jolt of pain as my hair was grabbed from behind. I was thrown to the ground, my palms scraping against the cold stone floor. I tried to scramble to my feet, but a heavy weight pinned me down.
I looked up to see Taehyung's face hovering over me, his eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and sadness. He held a knife to my neck, the blade glinting in the faint light of dawn that was starting to creep into the room.
Taehyung: You shouldn't have tried to escape.
Taehyung hissed, his breath hot against my skin.
Taehyung: You should have just stayed and played the game with me.
I tried to speak, but my voice was frozen in my throat. Taehyung's grip on my hair tightened, and I felt a wave of pain wash over me.
Taehyung: I have to admit, Scarlet.
Taehyung said, his voice low and husky.
Taehyung: It's going to hurt me to kill you. You're the first person who's ever made me feel something real. But enough of games. It's time for this to end.
I felt a surge of fear as Taehyung's words sank in. He was going to kill me, and there was nothing I could do to stop him.
Taehyung: But I have to tell you something.
Taehyung said, his eyes glinting with a mixture of sadness and longing.
Taehyung: I know I said I loved you, Scarlet. And at first, it was all just a game to me. But the more I got to know you, the more I realized that my feelings for you were real. I fell in love with you, harder and deeper than I ever thought possible.
I felt a wave of shock wash over me as Taehyung's words sank in. He had fallen in love with me? But why was he still trying to kill me, then? I could never trust him.
Taehyung: I know it doesn't make sense.
Taehyung said, as if he could read my mind.
Taehyung: But I'm a monster, Scarlet. I've been trained to kill, and I don't know how to stop. But I want you to know that I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you, and I'm sorry that it has to end like this.
As Taehyung spoke, I felt a wave of sadness wash over me. I had never thought that I would feel sorry for my assassin, no matter what I loved him, but as I looked into Taehyung's eyes, I saw something there that gave me pause.
It was a deep and abiding sadness, a sense of loss and longing that seemed to echo through every cell of his body. And as I looked into his eyes, I realized that Taehyung was not just a monster, but a complex and multifaceted human being who was capable of both good and evil.
Taehyung: I'm sorry, Scarlet.
Taehyung said again, his voice barely above a whisper.
Taehyung: I'm so sorry that it has to end like this.
As he spoke, Taehyung's grip on my hair tightened, and I felt the knife press closer to my neck. I closed my eyes, waiting for the inevitable, but as I did, I felt a strange sense of peace wash over me.
It was as if I had finally accepted my fate, and was ready to face whatever came next. And as I waited for Taehyung to make his move, I was going to die, and I was sorry for it. But as I looked into Taehyung's eyes, I saw something there that gave me hope.
And as I waited for the end to come. And as I closed my eyes and waited for the inevitable, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. As I waited for the end to come, I felt a sense of resignation wash over me. I closed my eyes, preparing for the inevitable. But as Taehyung started to push the knife into my skin, I felt a sudden jolt of pain.
A little blood started to crawl out of the skin, and I could feel it trickling down my neck. But I didn't even protest. I just lay there, my eyes closed, waiting for it to be over.
But as I felt Taehyung's hands trembling, I sensed something was off. And then, suddenly, tears started leaving his eyes. They dripped onto my skin, warm and salty.
I opened my eyes, surprised, and saw Taehyung's face contorted in anguish. He was crying, great sobs racking his body. And as I looked up at him, I saw something there that gave me pause.
It was a deep and abiding sadness, a sense of loss and longing that seemed to echo through every cell of his body. And as I looked into his eyes, I saw something else there, something that gave me hope.
But before I could say anything, the police siren started, piercing the air and shattering the silence. I opened my eyes to find the room filled with the first dawn of the morning, the walls bathed in a warm, golden light.
The police siren grew louder, and I could see the flashing lights of the police cars outside, casting a red and blue glow over the room. It was as if everything was happening in slow motion, the world outside moving at a pace that seemed almost surreal.
And then, suddenly, the police team burst into the room, their guns drawn and their faces set in determined lines. Seokjin, the officer I had spoken to on the phone, rushed towards me, his eyes scanning my body for any signs of injury. And the rest of the officers rushed to him.
Seokjin: Scarlet, are you okay?
He asked, his voice low and urgent. I nodded, still trying to process what was happening. Taehyung was still crying, his body racked with sobs as he lay beside me. The officers were trying to grab him by the ground.
Seokjin's eyes flicked towards Taehyung, and I could see the tension in his body. He knew that Taehyung was a trained assassin, and he was taking no chances.
But as he looked at Taehyung, I could see something else there, now his face had a smirk. And as I looked at Seokjin, I knew that everything was going to be okay. The police had arrived, and I was safe. Taehyung was no longer a threat, and I could finally start to heal.
As the police team closed in around us, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. It was over, finally. The game was over, and I had won. But as I looked at Taehyung, I knew that it wasn't that simple.
The game may have been over, but the consequences of our actions would linger on, haunting us for the rest of our lives. And as I looked into Taehyung's eyes, I saw something there that gave me pause.
We had played a game of cat and mouse, a game of life and death. But in the end, it was not the game that had defined us, as I looked at Taehyung, I knew that I would never forget the lessons I had learned from our twisted game.
As the police took Taehyung away, he looked at me with a smirk on his face. It was a look that sent shivers down my spine, a look that seemed to pierce right through to my soul.
I felt a chill run down my spine as I met his gaze, my heart racing with a mix of fear and adrenaline. Seokjin, sensing my distress, placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
Seokjin: Let's get you out of here.
He said, his voice firm and commanding. As the police led Taehyung away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The smirk on his face seemed to linger in my mind, haunting me like a ghost.
Seokjin helped me with my bandages, his hands gentle and reassuring as he tended to my wounds. I winced in pain as he touched a particularly sensitive spot, but he was quick to apologize and adjust his touch.
As we made our way outside, I caught sight of Taehyung being led away in handcuffs. He turned to look at me, his eyes locking onto mine with an unnerving intensity. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he mouthed two words:
Taehyung: I'll be back.
Seokjin looked at me, his arm tightening around me as he led me towards the ambulance.
Seokjin: You're safe now.
He said, his voice firm and reassuring.
Seokjin: He's not going to hurt you again.
But as I looked back at Taehyung, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was far from safe. The smirk on his face seemed to linger in my mind, haunting me like a ghost. As we reached the ambulance, Seokjin helped me inside, his hands gentle and reassuring as he settled me onto the stretcher. I winced in pain as the paramedics began to tend to my wounds, but Seokjin was quick to reassure me.
Seokjin: You're going to be okay.
He said, his voice firm and commanding.
Seokjin: Just hang in there, okay?
I nodded. As the paramedics worked to stabilize my wounds, Taehyung's words seemed to echo in my mind, haunting me like a ghost. "I'll be back," he had said, his eyes glinting with a sinister intensity.
I knew that I had to be careful, that I had to stay one step ahead of Taehyung if I wanted to stay alive. But as I lay there on the stretcher, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was far from safe.
The ambulance doors closed behind us, and we began to move, the sirens blaring as we sped through the streets. I closed my eyes, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over me.
As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't shake the feeling that Taehyung was still out there, watching me, waiting for his chance to strike. And I knew that I would have to be ready, that I would have to stay one step ahead of him if I wanted to stay alive.
The thought sent a shiver down my spine, Taehyung had left his mark on me, and I knew that I would never be the same again. As the ambulance sped through the streets, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held. Would I be able to escape Taehyung's clutches, or would he eventually catch up with me?
Only time would tell, but one thing was certain: I would never be able to forget the terror that Taehyung had unleashed upon me. He had left his mark on me, and I knew that I would never be the same again.
