The balrog
<your POV >
As we walk thru the halls of Mordor, we walk into a room full of stone pillars. Suddenly, I heard a wheezing sound and saw orcs crawling down from the small cracks in the roof. I growl and stand ready to attack when I hear a roar. The orcs seem scared as they run to the safety on the top.
"What's this new delivery," Boromir says, and Gandalf sigh.
"A demon from the ancient world. This foe is beyond any of you. Y/n, run!" Gandalf shouts as I start running. I can feel the ground shake under my feet as I run. Finally, we come to a bridge. I stop, waiting for my new order.
I feel Gandalf jumping down from my back as he speaks,
" fly, make for the bridge!" I do as he says. When we are over the bridge, I hear the balrog roar. I growl as I feel my body starting to glow. The balrog seems to notice as it stops.
"You are in the wrong kingdom, princess." I hear it say in my mind. I snap back at it.
"I have no fear of a demon." The balrog hiss at my words and back away as it sees me. I can feel my power growing. I charge at the balrog, knocking it down. I hiss slightly at the heat but fight on. I bite its neck and push it down. I feel the bridge cracking at our combined weight. I stretch and rip the balrog one horn of. It screams in pain. I drop the horn down and lick the blood on my lips.
"Threatening my friends, then you're threatening me." I hiss as I lay my paw upon the balrog's chest. I moved my face closer, letting poison saliva drip down its face. It sizzles and closes its eyes.
"Do it, finish me. You're right; I just thought you wanted to take my kingdom." I sigh and open my mouth, taking it slowly around the balrog's throat. Then I bit, feeling the burning blood filling my mouth. Finally, I let go of him as I could not hear him breathe anymore.
I look up at my friends, seeing them staring in shock. So I chuckled and went to them.
"Now Gandalf, the demon is gone. It's time you start." I say as I smile at him. The others do not understand what I mean by that. I give them a slight smile and back away from Gandalf. Bright light can be seen around him as he transforms. Now in front of us is Gandalf standing in a whole new cape.
" thank you, Y/N. You showed me that I don't need to be scared to face my demons. My friends will always be there," Gandalf said as he smiled. I smile back, and they crawl up on my back. Finally, we leave the mines of moria. When we come out, we are welcomed with sunlight. I take one paw up to my face to avoid the sun in my eyes.
"We need to find a place to rest a little," Gandalf said. Everyone agreed, and I lifted and flew towards the forest. I was suddenly called to something. Lady Galadriel called me to her. I tried to shake the feeling off, but it just got stronger. Finally, I let her take me to Lothlorien. The others noticed that we changed course."Why are we changing course?" Pippin asked. I did not answer but just flew on. When we entered Lorraine, I landed. Elven guards immediately surrounded us, but I did not notice them. I just walked to the end of a giant staircase. It curled up a tree trunk and jumped slightly in the shape of leaves.
Suddenly I could feel Lady Galadriel's presence. I looked up the stairs. The elf guards bowed, but I held my head high. Aragorn and the others jumped off my back and turned as well."An honor to meet you, Princessy / n. Your father's thoughts have constantly flown over our kingdom. He wants you back." Lady Galadriel said and gave you a warm smile. You smiled back and nodded."I can not leave my friends. They need me as much as I need them. Dad can wait." I said as I lay down on their level and put my head around them. My shells shone in the sunlight, and the birds came flying down. Many of them landed on my horns; others landed at my feet. A beautiful white swan landed right in front of me and bent down. I smiled and gave it a friendly hug. I saw the others standing there in awe while Lady Glandriel smiled.
"Why do the animals bow to you, y / n?" Frodo asks. I give him a small smile and take my head to his body. As I look into his eyes, I transform into my human form. I take my head away and ruffle his hair.
"You will know when the time comes." I saw. I turn to the animals that are still at my feet."Draw my friends. Do not let their families wait. I can do it, but I cry when I need help." The animals bend and fly or run their way. I suddenly feel Legolas' hand on my shoulder. I turn and look into his deep blue eyes. He reaches out his hand, comes close to my ear, and whispers, "Meet me at the waterfall. We have to talk." He said and walked away. I blushed a little but went to the room Galadriel had given me. One of the Guards followed me there. He could not stop staring at me. I must say that I was a little uncommercial, but he can only try. He does not know who I am.
