"I told you, I'm fine." They had been hounding her about her time at the police station and her apparent friend for hours.
"Really? You don't think I saw the photos. The prophesy? It says you are going to die." Thalia was yelling now. Percy could tell she was just worried about her friend.
"Yeah, and how many times has a prophesy said that, yet I survived." She motioned to herself.
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah. How do we even know this guy isn't mortal. They could just be a regular old human." Percy suggested.
"Oh, like your friend?"
"Don't you mention him. He had nothing to do with this. I e known him for as long as I can remember. And trust me, I've got a pretty good memory. Maybe I should go back to the police. I might be safer with them." She pointed toward the door of the cabin they were in.
"Fine, go. Let's see how long you last in the real world. Let's see just how long it takes for every monster in New York to find you, hunt you, and kill you." There were tears in Thalia's, and Percy felt terrible. She hadn't meant to hurt her. She was just angry.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled." Thalia looked up at her.
"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have blamed your friend." She whispered. Then a smirk grew on her face, "Who is he anyway? He's pretty cute. Smart. Your type."
A blush covered her entire face as she looked down, trying to hide it. "You don't know what you're talking about."

"Gideon, we found the link between the families. The Chases' had a daughter. Her name was Annabeth. The wife was her stepmom. She and Percy both disappeared for the summer every year." Morgan explained after he bragged through the door.
"Cult?" Elle asked.
"No. No, its definitely not a cult." I blurted. Everyone looked at me, eyebrows raised. "I mean, did Percy show any signs of being in a cult?"
"Bud, I think you're too close to this." Morgan whispered.
"No, he's right. She didn't speak in any code. Cults usually assert dominance by brainwashing them to use code. To talk a certain way." Gideon defended the youngest member of the team.
"But you heard her talking to Reid. She said words like 'gods', plural, and fates, like the fates in Greek mythology." Elle argued.
"That's religion, not cult." Spencer quickly intervened.
"I once heard someone say they're the same thing."
