Where has Yagi Toshinori gone?
There was a special on the TV about All Might and his life time of service playing softly into the teachers lounge at UA. The teachers didn't really pay it much attention except for the fact that this special was covering fifty years of heroics.
"I didn't know that he's been a hero that long." Thirteen absently said, grading a few papers. Shota Aizawa, Eraser Head, snorted.
"So what if he's been a hero so long? He obviously can't be bothered to arrive on time for work." His tone was bitter. Nemuri Kayama, Midnight, shook her head at him.
"You've seen him, he is obviously ill. I'd be surprised if he was here everyday. Yagi deserves to have a few minutes extra to sleep if he can. You know that he has no sense of self. He's the least selfish person we've ever met." Kayama scolded. The teachers were always swaying in and out of being star struck and worried sick about their coworker. He was a great teacher to the Heroics course but he struggled and no one offered to help because they felt awkward doing so with him. The staff meeting was about to start, Nezu looking worried when he entered.
"Have any of you seen Yagi? He has not been home after the villain fight last night. His key card says he's on campus." Nezu's words brought a shiver up most of the teachers backs. Aizawa looked worried also. He had been one of the heroes to arrive while Yagi had fought a strange villain. All the heroes had been rendered unconscious, except Yagi, by the time the fight had ended. The security tapes were about to be reviewed in this meeting anyways.
"Have you checked the security feed?" He offered, tired beyond belief. Nezu shook his head.
"No. I suppose with us all here, it will do no harm." Nezu hit a button and the security feed played on the holographic table.
All Might was there, puffed up and making sure that there were no civilians trapped inside the building. He turned, ducking just as a hand passed over his head.
"Aren't you tired of fighting and hurting, All Might? I know you're on a time limit. You taught today, so you only have at most a half hour like this." The silky voice stated. The figure was hard to focus on and the voice had a hypnotic effect. All Might continued to dodge the figure's attacks as they dodged his.
"Why did you partially collapse a building?" All Might asked, not denying anything.
"You're a very hard person to contact, Yagi Toshinori. I made sure no one was here before doing it." The voice almost purred, almost teleporting away from a punch that would have mocked 90% of the population out.
"It's unfair that you know my name and I have no idea who you are." Yagi was calm, panicking did no good in a situation like this. "I am called Reverse. I am a huge fan of yours. I also believe in most of what you stand for. I have only one wish." The figure spoke calmly, slowly setting things in motion, traps simply meant to stop others from interfering and to hold Yagi still.
"Why would that be?" Yagi asked, barely dodging a kick for his head. He had called for back up before entering the building and they should have been there by now. Eraser Head appeared in a corner of the screen before he was hit with something that nicked him out.
"I wish that you were loved and cherished for who you are, not the mask and not the hero. I wish that you could be happy." The voice stated. Yagi tilted his head in confusion.
"I could erase all of the pain, loneliness, and give you a second chance. You've given everything to your nation. You've saved so many. I can save you now that you have Midoriya to carry on your legacy. Who else will save you? The teachers never helped you out, no one was there when you had to recover by yourself. No one was there to stop Gran Torino and Nana Shimura from beating you senseless? Who was there to stop your mother from hurting you? Who stopped her from murdering your father in front of you?" The figure had trapped Yagi Toshinori, who was starting to smoke. The restraints tightened accordingly. He could barely move from his place on the ground, staring at Rewind in defiance.
"Say it, Yagi. Who saved you?" The figure spoke, sitting and gently placing Yagi's head on their lap and petting his hair. The figure had only tired him out, careful not to harm him more then necessary. There was a small sob from Yagi either from the gentleness, the memories brought up, the helpless, or from the pain he had been in all day the teachers couldn't guess.
"No one saved you. That's why you have tried to save everyone. You're still that scared little boy but this time will be different. UA failed you many times. This is their last chance. I'm going to release you at the gates of UA. All you have to do is turn in the security tapes. I don't mean you harm, I swear. I'm going to pick you up and carry you to a car, now." The figure was careful in picking Toshinori up and carrying him to a car parked in the building. They buckled Toshinori in the backseat, careful of his left side before pulling out the security tapes and placing them in the passengers seat. The car left the building. There was a recording of the car ride, Yagi falling asleep half way through. The video of the car showed Yagi leaning on the wall by the gates, being set free while still asleep. There was a bright flash before Yagi woke up alone. The video ended when he had entered the gates by himself. Security cameras on campus tracked his trek into the main building. He didn't leave the building though. The time stamp read 3:45 AM.
