Thoughts on Mortality, or a lack thereof

You cannot live forever, so they say.

Biology has limits. We're sustained

By a failing carbon interface.

Besides

We live by contrast. What do blind men see?

No darkness; so we cannot call it light.

Immortals know no death, and so no-

God. You can't live forever, can you?

You could exist

In some soft and soulless undefined abyss

A child between the coat-racks of the mind

Untouching and untouched by humankind. It seems to me

There's nothing quite as lonesome as eternity.
