Elida

I was already in bed when we i heard knocking on my window. My clock read 2:34 am. I did my best not to make noise to avoid walking anyone in the house especially my son who is currently laying on my bed. I opened my window and whisper "who there..?" But no answer. So I was about to close it when I heard "wait.." I recognized that voice. I knew it to damn well. "Fez." I said it with such hurt. Fezco was my past. I haven't seen him since that night I caught him selling drugs to Rue. I looked down, he was leaning below my window.
"Hey Luz" I could tell he was slightly drunk.
"What are you doing here Fez?" I whispered it enough for him to hear. " I wanted to see if you were really back." The tone in his voice was so sad as if he world was falling around him. "Well now that you see that I'm here..go home, it's late." I said hoping he would leave. I'm not gonna lie. I missed him. He still looks the same not much has changed but he looks good. He stood up and at this point we were eye to eye. "Nice kid." He said and I can see it in his eyes that he was crying. And he was looking straight behind me. He was looking at Elias . Our son. "Uh thanks." I didn't know what to say without saying to much or crying. "And his dad?" I guess he wanted to know if I was single or not. Thinking that I was still with his father. But little did he know that...Elias was his. "His father isn't in his life." Was all I could really say. Fez wasn't ready to know. But sooner or later I have to tell him but not like this. "Elida?" He called me by my name. My real name. "Yeah Fez?" At this point I was also running some tears. " I still love you and I won't ever stop loving you. And I don't care if you have a kid with someone else. Because you will always be my Luz." and with that he left. I just stood there crying my eyes out in silence. This is what I feared the most.

DAYS LATER
RUE

On my way to Fez and Ashtray's crib cause I need more pills. But on my way there it started raining and I was riding my bike.
"Hey, open the door!" I was banging on the door, hoping whoever will open it cause it was pouring out. But I heard ashtray say "What do you want?" Why can't he just open the damn door. "Open the fucking door." Was all I kept saying. I could hear Fez saying "Yo, who is it man?" And ashtray said over the intercom "Rue."  I could tell He didn't want me here but fuck it I was already inside. "No. Bro , tell her to come back later." 
"Yo too late bitch." Was all I said when I passed by him
"Hold on. Hold on. You can't be in here right now."
I simple don't care. "Yeah I see you. Cash Money."  "Nah Nah. " that's all Fez kept saying...  "Yo, I just need some, uh some OCs and some socks." I head straight to his room. "I can't help you right now. You gotta go." But I still didn't listen to him. "Yo for real Rue. I ain't fucking playing with you. Come on." He trailed behind me. "You can't be in here."

"Look..Fez. I'm fuckin' drenched. Okay." I sat down on his bed and toke off my flannel and my socks. "And, uh... I'm out of drugs. So...don't be a dick." Like call down and let me get my shit and then I'll go.
"Oh my god. That's not my fucking problem. You gotta get up out of my house right now before these motherfuckers come through." At this point he was just yelling at me but I don't care. "All I need..." but no don't care "Rue for real." But I need my pills. ".... Is a couple OCs and some Xannies. That's all I see and I can be gone." As I put on my socks waiting for Fez to tell me where he has them.
"Yo, I'm trying to tell you. I don't got shit right now. Like... come back in a few hours. I got you, whatever you need." I don't need it later I need it now. "But right now. You gotta get the fuck up out of my house." But I he has them somewhere. "I know you have something Fez." "I'm just telling you. I don't got shit for you. Rue come on. I need you out the house right now. My guys about to come through here. I don't want you here. When he gets here you understand." All I hear is blah blah blah. As I throw myself on the couch. "I let you know a little secret. A very important secret if you give me drugs.?" At this point I'm fucking annoyed. I don't care if Fezco or Luz get mad at me. Just give me what I want and I'll go willingly. "This is dead serious." "You have a kid with my sister and his name is Elias so...please hand me my drugs." And with that Fezco face dropped. "Wha-" he couldn't even finish that sentence before his phone started ringing and that's when thing started to go wrong. "I could fucking kill you right now" and in that moment and that's why I started getting a little scared when the guns started coming out.

LUZ

I just got out the shower when I got a call from Rue.

"Hey." I answered the call
"Luz it's me Fezco."
"Fez why do you have Rue's phone."
"Elida... I need your help. It's Rue." I could hear the tremble in his voice.
And in that moment I grabbed my stuff and left. Sometimes bad was happening and Fezco was involved and that means it's nothing good. Especially when it revolves around my sister. I had to take Elias with me because mom was out with Gia. So i had no other choice but to take him.
On the drive there he kept asking me where we were heading and all I could say was "visiting a friend."
Once I arrived to Fezco's place I was nervous. This will be the first time he interacts with our son and the first time I been here in years since I broke up with him. "Sweetie we are here." I opened the door a see him falling to sleep in his car seat so I carry him and start knocking on the door.
Fez opened the door.
"Where is she?" I asked him as I walked in.
"On the couch to your left." He answered me.
She so high as a kite. In complete euphoria. "What did you give her. Fez?" I turned to look at him.
"I didn't give her anything." 
"Bullshit. I don't believe you."
"ELIDA I swear to you. I DIDNT GIVE HER SHIT!" He screamed at me." He was pissed at this point but so was I.
"My son is fucking sleeping in my arms. Stop fucking screaming."
"Sorry. You can lay him down on my bed if you like.But I'm telling you the true I didn't give her shut this time. Look I told her to leave but she didn't and she kept insisting for drugs and I had this meeting." He telling me as I lay he down on Fez's bed.
"What did they give her?
"Fentanyl."
"I can't take her home like this. Mom is gonna kill me."
"I got that handle." He says so nonchalant.
"Then why did you call me then? If you knew I couldn't take her home." I ask him.
"You and I have something we need to clear up."
"What. No we don't!" At this point I was confused on what he meant by that. But before I could speak someone start knocking.
Fezco walks away to go open the door. Leaving me with Rue.
Fezco comes back with a blonde. She asked him about where Rue was and he told her the same thing he told me. When she walks in she confused on who I am. "Fez who dis.?" I say looking straight at the blonde. "This is Jules. A friend of Rue's and she taking Rue With her Tonight." Was all he said as he goes to carry Rue. I went up to Jules. "I'm Elida but mostly everyone calls me luz , Rue's older sister." "I know who you are we have talked about you but it's nice to finally met you."
Fez comes back inside. And Jules Leaves.
And at this point it was time for me to leave. As I go to grab my son From his father's bed. and getting ready to walk out.. I'm stopped. Fez is standing in front of the door. "You ain't leaving Luz."
"Fez I have no business here anymore. I have to go home. And put my song to sleep."
"Don't you mean our son Elida ."  And I'm that moment my heart stopped.
