So those of you who didn't win your first round battles, fear not, for the contest is not over for you. Far from it, in fact, because you still have every chance of walking away come the end of this contest with victory grasped between your grubby 'lil paws!

You'll be following a different path to the final though and with that in mind, here's your second round!

Sub-Genre: Super Human

Your task here is to tell the story of a superhero or supervillain (that choice is entirely your decision) though it's not quite as simple as that! Said Super must be of your own creation and cannot be Earth-based. In fact, said Super must be based upon a world so distant it's unlikely your character and the other people who reside upon said distant world are even aware of Earth's existence!

Below you'll find nine images, four of which you must use as inspiration for your story and in no more than 4000 words, tell said story... You have until midnight, BST, on Sunday, October 9th, to do so!

The ninth picture, thanks to Jim (well, kinda'... Pot One got Twinkies thanks to Jim so y'all get something different), is mandatory in addition to the four you chose yourself!

NB: And, as I've been accused of mild sexism, there are now eleven pictures... You still only need to select four for yourself though!

Please make the judges aware, by way of an Author's Note, which four pictures were used.
