elveloy VS jinnis

3 - 0

'Elveloy: While Jinnis had a very excellent entry, the emotional punch of Vera's rocked my socks off and hit really close to home.'

'Jinnis had a well built story with good character development. Suffers from a couple minor typo's. A very good effort. Unfortunately Elveloy absolutely crushed with her story. I find myself genuinely interested in reading more of elveloy's story. She definitely got me involved in the tale an intriguing concept'

'Now, @elveloy To Boldly Go... vs. @jinnis To Boldly Go...

Ach! They even have the same title. No fair! Ach! I want jinnis' story to be told using elveloy's writing style. Ach!

I just... oh, this one is so unfair. Okay fine. Point to elveloy, cuz good storytelling is more important than a good story. But this one is so unfair!'

bloodsword VS MoonLoop

2 - 1

'Moonloop: I admit this was my toughest call. Both Bloodsword and Moon brought an incredibly creative and high concept story to the table and I hope both continue their pieces no matter who takes the cake as it were. Both were breath taking, and used beautiful language. Moon only edged out the competitor in my mind from the little details, down to the very language of her story. It was still so close I wish I could drag in both XD'

'Bloodsword stuck it to moonloop.

While bloodswords story does need polish and the beginning three parts are a bit boring to did finally hook me. And it has a good finish.
Moonloop seemed pressed for time. The story had a disjointed and unfinished feel. And I was dangerously close to just skimming to the end. A good effort though, so @moonloop should not take this to mean I don't like their writing. I try to judge the stories on their own merit.
That's why I'm a good judge. I am after all, a picky bastard.'

'Okay @bloodsword Starsinger vs. @MoonLoop Habitat

@bloodsword has an excellent way of storytelling. He took an idea and brought it through a series of images to the type of conclusion that makes the reader say - 'Here, the story begins.'

@MoonLoop was fun, and very LitFiction-y, but in the end it was mostly a constant stream of WTF images where the reader feels like they are head snapping and gawking at all the kooky characters in a Star Wars bar.
And apparently, some of them are fugging.

Point goes to bloodsword.'

torontojim VS CarolinaC

2 - 1

'Torontojim: Another toughie but edged out his match by a smidgen with a truly excellent and bittersweet concept.'

'A very close match. But CarolinaC brought it home with a great ending. TrontoJim's story didn't flow quite as smoothly. Two very well writen stories. And near enough to a tie in my mind as to make no difference. But I'm required to pick one. So CarolinaC wins by a hairs breath.'

'Okay! @CarolinaC Voyage to Earth vs. @torontojim To Boldly Go.

Carolina is, as always a great storyteller. She brings you into a group of characters like no other author, and makes it very easy for the reader to keep them separated, by giving them great personalities. And she's always funny!

But, totontojim was funny and told a good story. a great story, with depth and personality. Although I wasn't fond of the ending (he did say he ran over on the Word Count and had to Hack and Slash,) To Boldly Go was a great field trip through Outer Space.

Point goes to torontojim.'

MadMikeMarsbergen VS WeLovelyBurns

3 - 0

'MadMikeMarsbergen: Mike never fails to wow me with his style. It is always hilarious and delightfully crass and kept me laughing the whole time while telling a fun story.'

'Now come on. That wasn't even fair. Lovelyburns had a good tale but it was rough. Needing extra editing. And well, Mike as managed to soil the childhood memory of one of my favorite comics. So lovelyburns gets slow roasted by mike for a win.'

'@MadMikeMarsbergen All in a Dave's Work vs. @WeLovelyBurns Space Exploration

Ah... urk... uhm... well what the hell can I say? There is no one who writes like Mad Mike. And that is a very good thing. I have no idea what his story was about, but one thing I know for sure -- I started drinking tequila while still on the very first chapter, and laffed my fool phucking ass off. OMG.
Stay Gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold.

@WeLovelyBurns told a fine story, but it just seemed too short. I wish that there was more. And I'm still drinking Tequila and laughing at Mad Mike's dumb story.

Point to MadMikeMarsbergen. Lord help me, I don't know why.'
