Round 3 Results
Consider me properly clusterfunked. Nice work with the third round, everyone. Sad to see the pair of dropouts, but sometimes life throws you some curveballs. No hard feelings towards either of the two.
Ready to see the results for Round 3? Normally this would be the part where I'd ask if you're keen to see who will stay alive in this game, and who will be the next ones to go to Redemption Island and face off against bloodsword, the victor of Redemption Duel 1—however, as previously mentioned, we had two dropouts, so that part is irrelevant. These judgements are mostly meaningless as all of you left are moving on, but the highest-scoring person will still choose who visits Exile Island. So there's that.
First, let's get out of the way who's got an advantage after successfully completing Bonus Round 2:
Congrats! You'll see your advantage applied automatically to your score for Round 3.

1. Prompt Adherence - 5/5
Clever usage of the prompts. Had me chuckling.
2. Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation - 3/5
I believe I caught one missing hyphen. Most of the mistakes I caught related to a lack of commas before the word "though" (in cases where a comma would have helped readability).
3. Story Enjoyability - 5/5
A classic Angus tale that had me laughing and intrigued from the get-go. Nice twist near the end.
Total score - 13/15

1. Prompt Adherence - 5/5
Loved the use of the prompts. Some very vivid imagery. The way the two quotes were used made me laugh. Definitely a "DreamPunk" story.
2. Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation - 3/5
There were some errors I caught: a missing hyphen here and there; the use of "blonde" when referring to a man—should be "blond"; and a couple words missed a possessive apostrophe.
3. Story Enjoyability - 5/5
Awesome story! Had me gripped, feeling the tension and mystery at the beginning. The bits of humour here and there were a nice touch. And the twist was cleverly done.

4 FOR PROMPT: All the prompts were used, but it seemed a little flow-breaking at times. Particularly the Nickelback one, which seemed strangely humourous in an otherwise serious story.
4 FOR GRAMMAR.
3 FOR ENJOYABILITY: Though the concept was interesting, I wasn't particularly engaged in the writing. I would have liked to read more about the science of dreams, and the state of the current society. Also, I was rather confused by the ending. Why is he in a coma? Was it because of Julia's dream? But why? I felt this could have been explained better.
Advantage from Bonus Round 2 bumps up the highest non-5/5 score to a 5/5—bumping Prompt Adherence to a 5/5.

5 FOR PROMPT: Also, thanks for bolding stuff, that was nice.
5 FOR GRAMMAR
5 FOR ENJOYABILITY: Who is Nimrod? That's the question on everybody's mind. Obviously the lad took my last judgement about sounding like AngusEcrivain to heart, as this reads nothing like him... of course, it instead reads like a certain "Phonerion" guy I used to know, but that's a mystery for another time. All I know was this story was ridiculously hilarious and hilariously ridiculous.
-1 point for being a day late
-2 points for being below the minimum required number of words by 1,000 words.

5 FOR PROMPT
5 FOR GRAMMAR: Pretty sure everything bad I saw was on purpose.
5 FOR ENJOYABILITY: I really liked this story. I was also really surprised I liked this story, given how it incorporates popular-music culture. Last semester at university I had to take a compulsory general-education paper, so I chose "Issues and History in Popular Music" thinking it would be a laugh and easy. It actually killed music history for me, and I was "de-funked," expressly after the lecture tried to say that Tool was the greatest band of all time. Ew. Anyway, this made me not regret all the history that was crammed into my brain and was entertaining so I very much loved it.
MadMikeMarsbergen's comment: I saw a few mistakes here, namely some missing commas and "credit card sized device" should be either "credit-card-sized device" or "credit card–sized device." (That last one is an endash, in this case used when there are two or more words (credit card) being modified by one word (sized).) We'll give Reffster a 4/5 for the PSG category.

5 FOR PROMPT: Just like Spider-Man: Homecoming, the prompts were used in a way which was very fresh.
3 FOR GRAMMAR: See previous comments for grammar from Mike and other judges, as I see a lot of the mistakes have been repeated.
5 FOR ENJOYABILITY: This story was fairly enjoyable, however the end felt like how the endings of my short stories feel when I've had enough of them and I just want to end them.
"But wait!" you exclaim. "That doesn't sound like a five!"
Well, it would be a 4 or so, but ALLANFISHER did make this awesome sci-fi cover for his story, and I love it and that kind of effort always deserves a reward. So take it.

As you guys know, two people—the lowest-scoring person from each tribe—would be sent to Redemption Island following the results of this third round. Conveniently, the two people who dropped out were from opposite tribes, which means nobody else gets eliminated and nobody goes to Redemption.
Also, Reffster had the highest score for this round (congrats!), which means they had to choose one of you remaining competitors to send to Exile Island.
They chose AngusEcrivain.
AngusEcrivain, you will be alone and afraid for the time being, but you will return to the game at the start of Round 4. In the meantime, you will be unable to compete in any bonus rounds. Sad, I know, but it'll be okay.
I will contact you via PM with the specific details of what happens while you're an Exile.
The rest of you—got nothin' for ya except a clump of rabbit turds I found out back.
Head back to camp and await your next challenge. Should be a few days or so before Round 4 goes up. But in the meantime there will be Bonus Round 3—so keep your eyes peeled for that—and, if bloodsword takes part, you'll be able to watch the optional second Redemption "Duel," which isn't really a duel, so it's a little weird and a little different.
