You knew this was coming. After all, I told you back in the first part we would be doing bonus rounds!

So what does this one entail?

Why, alternate endings, of course!

In this bonus round, your goal is to write a 300-word alternate ending to your Round 1 story. This can go however you like—whether that means ret-conning part of the story's original ending, or tacking on another 300 words to change it substantially: It's your choice!

Submit through the usual means, by emailing them as .doc or .docx files to [email protected].

Those of you who complete this task will gain an advantage to be used automatically in Round 2. The advantage will bump up your highest score to a 5/5. If you've already got a 5/5, your next-highest score will go up to a 5. If you've got a perfect 15/15 score, your advantage will act as a +1, effectively turning that into a 16/15 score. This could be the difference between going to Redemption Island or winning Round 2.

You will have 24 hours, starting now!

That means the deadline is 6:30 PM EST, Saturday June 3rd!

I believe that converts to 10:30 PM UTC.
