Chapter Four: My first investigation Pt. I

Sorry about not updating in awhile. Life likes to take me around sometimes, as well trying to make the story more appealing to you guys.  Mostly the big change is the female main character, as well as some parts of the story, is to be changed as well.

The girl kept looking at a strange object that seemed to be carrying a large hippo on top of it. Confused was an understatement since it was coming straight for....Ms. Puffin!!

The Officer saw the unknown object hurdling towards Ms. Puffin, pulling the old bird towards him, while the panda jumps out of the way at the very last minute. The wagon had narrowly missed her by a hair.

Rolling the cool grass, to a stop on her stomach. The girl looked up to see the wagon hit the orphanage sign.

SSSSSMMMMMMAAAAAAACCCCCKKK!!

The wagon crash right into the sign then started to slowly roll away from the sign to a brief stop. The impacted had caused the front part of the wagon to have a huge dent in it, but other than that it was intact.

Very slowly, the panda got to her knees then to full stand. Her knees stung a bit, a fresh scrape on both her knees appeared on her. She glances at her knees for a few seconds before looking at the runaway vehicle that almost killed her.

Narrowing her eyes at it, she sees a sack of some sort inside the wagon. For a while, it didn't move until the small panda got closer to it.

"I don't think a sack should be moving on its own." she whispered to herself.

The sack wasn't moving per say, but it looked like who or whatever was in there was try violently get out if it. That made this all the more strange in the panda's mind.

'Well let's help out, shall we?'

The girl tiptoed closer to the wagon with a little less fear and more out of curiosity in what was ever inside that sack. Finally when she was close enough to it, giving it a look to see if there something keeping it from getting out.

After looking the sack over, the panda found what was hold the sack closed. A rope had been tied twice around the opening then double noted.

"Why would som-"

"Um, is anyone out there?"

The panda jumped in suprise and shock.

'So someone was in there huh?'

"Uh, I'm trapped in here, help please?!"

'Oh right.' The girl tried to untie the knot to avail.

'Whoever did this must be really good...(Looks at her paws) Oh, duh.'

Sticking out her left paw, the panda pops out a claw from her index finger. She takes one part of the rope and slices it. Then the rest of the rope fell with ease. Before the sack would open, the girl panda was being pulled away from the wagon and a voiced screeched out causing her to feel as if her ears drums were being torn apart.

"Careful girl! You don't know what's in there?!" That would Ms. Puffin voice.

The old woman was the one that pulled the panda's arm, away from the sack.  The girl could tell the old bird was just try to somewhat protect her from whatever was in the sack. Although, she wished that Ms. Puffin didn't pull her away.

The police dog, cautiously, walked towards the sack. Hands grabbing the drawstring that was holding the sack closed lipped. Looking at the drawstring, the officer saw a complicated knot making the string difficult to undo.

After what should have been a 3-minute time to untie the string took actually about 35-minutes instead. Right when the knot was undone, a large pink head popped out the sack.

'Is...that a...a hippo? How did he get into the sack in the first place?' I thought to myself.

"Where-Where am I?" The young hippo looked confused and sounded a bit disoriented too.

If I didn't know any better, looks like someone had knocked him out. For now, I'd better keep quiet. No sooner when the police dog picked up the young hippo, did Ms. Puffin go marching up to them and start yelling. No joke; I mean Yelling. At not only the young hippo but at the policemen as well.

Both of them (if mostly the hippo) were terrified at the old bird. While that was going on, I decided to look around the scene.

'Okay time to see how much I've learned from dad.'
