"Ughhh.." I groaned as the sun shown in my eyes.

I expected to wake up with Black Hat next to me, but he was no where to be found.

There was only a note in his place.

It said, in his familiar, perfect hand writing;

As you can probably tell, I have already left to get home, due to having business to attend to, I apologize. I would have moved you to your bed but since Melody was there, I didn't think you'd like that. Anyways, you should bring her to the manor later so Dr. Flug can evaluate her. That is all.

That last part confused me, "My neck?"

I went to the bathroom and was horrified to see hickeys covering my neck.

Then everything from last night came flooding back.

I walked to the kitchen, passing the living room to see Melody still sleeping with a Blanket over her.

I noticed she had a blanket cover her, which I didn't put down.

As I made myself a cup of coffee, I didn't hear Rae walk in the room.

"So you two got busy last night, huh?"

I choked on air from the comment, causing her to laugh.

"Morning to you too, Rae," I clicked my tongue.

"I thought you guys couldn't-"

"We didn't. Just..."

"Made out?"

"Yeah."

"Nice," She chuckled as she got out a mug for herself.

"Thanks for giving Melody a blanket," I thanked her.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"That..wasn't you?"

"No..?"

"Oh, alright."

It must've been Black Hat, which made me internally go 'awww'.

It honestly surprised me though.

Maybe..just maybe, he did care, already.

"So..she's a cute kid."

"Yeah. She also can make people's brains explode."

"Yeah. We're gonna go see Flug later today and do some testing."

"Jesus Y/n..you seem to attract interesting people."

"I know. She also might have some scientists chasing after her, so you might wanna come to the manor with us today so you're safe. And you can see your boyfriend."
