//Your POV//
—One day after The Decision—
"And please, please, please don't let me come back to a pile of rubble," I asked for the last time.
"Aye, Aye!" Demencia soluted.
"Okay, I think we're set," I looked to Black Hat, who nodded.
"Good Luck!" Flug waved.
"Bye, Bye!" Demencia winked, (most likely at Black Hat).
505 also did a little wave.
I clenched onto the straps of my backpack, actually being hopeful for once.
"Are you sure this will all work out? I got a bad feeling about this," Black Hat asked as we got into my car.
I put the key in the ignition and turned on the radio.

"Well, I'm hoping it'll be okay. Even if it isn't, at least we get to uh, have this little adventure, ya know?"
"I guess..well I don't think the adventure would be little if we're going across the entire country," Black Hat smiled.
That was the first genuine smile I think I've ever seen him make, which made me blush.
"Yeah, you're right," I chuckled as I backed out of my driveway.
We decided that we would just drive since it would be less expensive (besides gas, which will be pretty fucking annoying).
Black Hat offered to just teleport, but I declined saying that driving would just be easier and not a burden for him.
"So, since we're going east, I think it would be easier to go down to California, straight through Nevada and Utah, and then go north the closer we are to the east coast," I explained my route to Black Hat.
Or at least what google maps said was the best idea- Ahem.
The trip from Northern Oregon to Northwestern California took at least half the time it takes for me to get to work, which is in L.A.
To my surprise, we were quiet for the most part.
The only thing to be heard was the radio.
I expected us to be bickering or some shit.
All I heard was 2D/ Damon Alburn singing from the speakers of the radio.
The trip across Nevada was took approximately 2 hours, and so did Utah.
We soon crossed the borders of Colorado, going straight into Denver, where we stopped for food.
"So where do we go next?" Black Hat asked as we got back in the car from the rest stop.
"Well, We're gonna have to go through Nebraska, Iowa, and then straight through Chicago, and go Northbound in Indianapolis. Then, if we keep going North, we'll eventually pass Michigan's borders and reach Detroit, but I think we should probably rest for now," I looked at a map with routes on my phone.
The trip was one day and 14 hours after all, and we had already spent 18 hours driving.
It was 3AM, and which made it hard to see, thank the stars there were some functioning road lamps.
So we laid down, making our seats go back, and stared at the sky through through my leaky sunroof.
"Mom would be proud," I smiled wiping a tear, "I've been through 3 states that I've never been to all in one day."
Black Hat took my hand, "I bet she would be."
"Black Hat."
"Yes?"
"Thank you for doing this with me."
"Your Welcome, Y/n."
—Le Time Skip—
We started driving right when I woke up.
We eventually reached Nebraska after at least 2 hours, and stopped for coffee since the morning was not treating me right.
After another 3 hours of driving, we reached Chicago, and soon passed through Indianapolis.
It took us 4 hours to get all the way to Detroit was far up North in Michigan.
This was it, we were finally in Detroit, a bustling, industrial city.
"Do you even know what part of Detroit he's in?" Black Hat asked me.
"Well..no, but we can ask around!"
"Okay then."
I was excited.
I was going to finally meet my dad!
That was only the beginning though.
I was wrong..
I was..oh so wrong..
