The Decision
//Your POV//
I stood up and wiped my eyes, "That's it."
"W-What is it, Y/n?" Tyler asked, concerned.
"I've decided that I'm going to Detroit, and going to find my dad."
"What?!" Everyone yelled except 505, who winced instead since they can't speak.
"Y/n, I understand why you would want to go find your father but think about how far it is! Where would you even look for him if you even get to Michigan??" Black Hat tried to talk me out of it.
"I don't care, I just need to meet him!" I retaliated, "I'm going whether you all like it or not."
Everyone stayed silent at my words, thinking.
"I suppose it cannot be helped that you have a great desire to find your father in Detroit, so," Black Hat paused, "I will be joining you."
Tyler literally chOKED, "But s-Sir!"
"Hush, Flug, I'm doing this."
"No, Black Hat, really. I need to do this on my own."
"No. You never know what could happen, Y/n. Your boss said that he is a crime boss, he's dangerous. You could get hurt," Black Hat shook his head.
"But he's my dad! He won't hurt me," I denied.
"What if he doesn't recognize you?"
Black Hat said the question I bet everyone was asking; Would he hurt me if he didn't recognize me?
"I...I don't know. I just have to hope for the best," I sighed.
"Just hoping isn't gonna prove he'll be friendly, which is why I'm coming."
I looked to the ground.
'Oh wow Y/n. You're in over your head now, what do you expect to happen? He's a damn crime boss, and you expect him to be like 'hiya sweetie! how have you been these past 29 years of me being absent??' Yeah, right,' My mind slapped me mentally.
Black Hat put his hand on my head, me being a goddamn shortie compared to him not helping at all.
That action and his eyes said everything, something like: 'now don't scold yourself like that.'
I smiled sheepishly at him, while pushing away his hand.
Tyler and 505 just looked at each other and shrugged while Demencia was sleeping on 505's back.
"I guess you can come, if you really want to," I reluctantly agreed, me being a stubborn bitch.
"I'd go if you didn't agree anyways," Black Hat shrugged, making me roll my eyes.
"Of course you would," I scoffed.
—Time Skip—
Everyone was having coffee.
Tyler and 505 (using growls and hand motions) were talking amongst themselves, Black Hat was minding his own business (for once), Demencia was just sleeping (hail the precious queen).
I stared into the dark abyss of my caffeinated drink.
That dark void reminded me of something like a hole.
A little black hole.
Think of when you rip a pair of stretch pants, the hole starts small and you try to ignore it so you can fix it later but now that you're aware of it, you keep touching it until it gets bigger and bigger until your pants fall apart.
It's sort of what earlier was like for me: I found a a tiny hole; My dad on Facebook, and I kept digging deeper until I ripped that hole; my father being a crime boss in Detroit.
"Y-Y/n?? A-Are you okay?" Tyler asked.
I snapped out of La-La-Land to realize that everyone was staring at me, worried looks on their faces.
"Oh, I'm good," I stood up, "I'm gonna go get some fresh air."
I walked out onto the patio (which is also sort of a balcony since I'm on the second floor of my condo complex) and took in the chilly October breeze.
I could see my own breath in the air, my body was shivering in the coolness.
"Isn't it a little cold to be standing out here?"
I turned my head to see Black Hat, grinning at me, arms crossed, leaning against the wall.
"Go inside, Black Hat. I need to be alone," I looked back up to the sky.
Instead, he walked next to me.
"You're too much," He huffed.
"I'm too much?? All I asked was to be alone, how is that being 'too much'?!" I hissed.
"Well for starters, you're too beautiful to have so much worry on your face~"
"Excuse-" Before I could say anything else, Black Hat quickly kissed my forehead with a "muah" and went back inside.
I held where he kissed me with my hand..
"What...what the fuck just happened???
