"T-This i-is crazy, jefe. You c-can't teleport a-a-all the-"

"I know it's far, you don't have to tell me that, but she sounds like she's not in the right mind to be alone," I interrupted Flug, "I already ordered you guys tickets for a plane that leaves tomorrow morning at 5 and a hotel a couple minutes ago, so I can't waste any more time than I have."

"Okay," Flug nodded.

Why did I care so much? I have no idea.

All that was in my head was to make sure she didn't do something rash.

When people are in this kind of state of mind, they do awful things to themselves.

I took a deep breath and shut my eyes, focusing all my energy into this one warp.

'Come on, you can do it.'

"Bye Boss~!"

"S-See y-you soon, jefe."

I heard their farewells.

I clenched onto the strap of the duffle bag I had on my shoulder, trying to conceal the stinging pain.

When I opened my eyes after the burning was over with, I saw that it worked.

My muscles were aching from that lengthy warp.

I looked around to see myself at the door of a condo, trees with the colors of red, orange and yellow with their leaves scattered across the roads.

It was much colder than it was in Mexico, the October breeze blowing in my face.

I knocked at the door softly, wondering how she could stand such cold temperatures.

After at least a minute, I heard a few clicking noises from the door and it opened with a creak.

Y/n looked a lot more...somber then when I last saw her.

Her hair was down, strands covering portions of her face.

She was wearing a gray sweater, the sleeves long enough to cover her hands and a side of the collar to sag off her shoulder, black stretch pants and white socks.

Her cheeks were encrusted with tears and her face was red, eyes puffy.

"Hey..I told you you didn't-"

I sort of moved on my own, pressing her into a swift hug.

"Y-You didn't have to...You shouldn't have.." She stammered on her words, starting to cry.

"Shh..I went on my own..the others are going to be here tomorrow," I rubbed the back of her head.

"It's fine..really, I-"

"Y/n, for once in your life, could you rely on someone else??" I asked.

"W-What?"

"Think about it. You don't want anybody's help and look at how you are now. You need somebody, and we're here for you. You just need to let us in..let me in."

"I..I'm so afraid. I don't-, didn't think anybody cares so that's why I don't make a scene out of things. It's easier for e-everybody if I just shut up and deal with it, right? Haha.."

"You know that isn't true," I put my hands on her shoulders and looked at her dead in the eyes.

"B-But do I really?"

"I would hope you do," I put a hand on her cheek, rubbing off the tears with my thumb.

She backed away from my grasp, and shut the door behind me, "Come in, I'll make you some coffee or something."

"No, it's alright," I refused.

Y/n sat down on the small leather couch and I sat next to her.

"I'm so sorry, Y/n."

"Yeah.." She sniffed, "But it's not like there's anything we can do."

"I know but, I feel like that she's still here. Corny, I know, but it's true."

"Maybe..but I wish my dad was still here, ya know? At least I would have some sort of family left."

"Well..you have me and my gang. Don't you have friends too?"

"Well, some friends from high school and a couple people from work. My boss is sorta like a dad to me."

"Mr. Hilenberg, I presume?"

"Yeah, He's a great guy. I talked to him yesterday and he's been nothing but supportive."

"That's good."

"I guess, but it can't really..you know, replace the real guy. Whoever he is."

"You have no memory?? Not even the tiniest bit?"

"Black Hat, he left when I was a newborn, of course I don't remember him," She scoffed, "Why are you even doing this?"

"I don't know myself, I just..had to see you and make sure you're okay," I admitted, "I guess I care about you."

She blushed at the comment, smiling a little, "Thank you."

"Your welcome."

"I respect that you put away your ego for now," Y/n smirked, smugly.

"Hey, I'm the one that's comforting you here, so be cherish it, I don't do this often."

"Like I haven't heard that one from you before," She rolled her eyes.

"You're smiling."

"I am and I hate it."

She rested her head on my shoulder and yawned, "I'm tired, Black Hat. I think I've been for a while."

"Then go to sleep, Y/n."

"It's kinda hard when you have a demon next to you."

"Well what if that demon said they weren't gonna hurt you?" I chuckled.

"What if the demon was lying?"

"What if the human was just stalling?"

"Okay, fair point," She sighed.

"Go to sleep, Y/n," I rested my head against hers, "I'm tired, myself."

"Okay.." And she was out like a light after that.

"Sleep well, dear."
