"Are you sure, Y/n?" Rae asked me, hesitantly.

"Of course, it's no trouble," I smiled, Diego clenching my hand and Alexia standing next to me.

For context, I decided to take Alexia out to make her feel better and she wanted Diego to come.

I could tell she doesn't like it when he's out of her sight.

"Alright, be safe, everyone. Try not to have too much fun without me."

"So, where should we go?" I asked the door pair as we walked down the sidewalk.

"Can we have lunch?" Diego asked.

"Hmm..what do you think, Alexia?"

"Yeah..that'd be nice."

"Then let's go to the diner," I nodded smiling.

"Yay!" Diego jumped up.

And soon, after a small walk, we reached the diner.

//Black Hat's POV//

I decided that I needed some fresh air, so I left the mansion to spy on the town.

I made sure to make myself invisible so I wasn't seen.

I walked down the street trying to think about anything but her.

I tried to think about work I had to get done, maybe a new invention.

Hell, even the weather was an option as long as...

No.

She couldn't, wouldn't  leave my thoughts.

And when I didn't want to think of her most, that's when I saw her.

She was walking down the sidewalk with two other people, minors.

A young boy held her hand while a teenage girl walked along the other side of Y/n.

'Where the hell did these children come from??' I thought, confused on why they were with her.

They certainly weren't kin of her own, that was for sure..right?

I followed them, muting my footsteps as I listened to whatever they were talking about.

"So, Miss Y/n. Earlier you said that you get how I feel. What do you mean?" Asked the Teenage girl.

"Oh..well, rather recently, I've gone through a similar situation.." Y/n answered, her pleasant smile fading.

"What happened?"

"I was in a sort of..problem that had few options to get out of. The only way we could figure it out if we did one thing, but he chose something else, deceived me. I was and still kinda am really upset about it. He says he's sorry but..I'm not ready to talk to him yet. So, I guess we're just taking a break for now," Y/n explained, not giving much detail.

But I knew she was talking about us.

"I..I'm sorry I asked. I hope everything gets better soon," The teen looked to the ground.

"It's alright. I'm sure it'll all work out..hopefully."

"I think it'll all be okie doki!" The little boy smiled at Y/n.

"Heh..I hope so."

"Diego's right, Everything will be okay," The Girl nodded, "As you said before, if it's not meant to be, it won't happen."

"I guess," Y/n sighed, "Well, we're almost to the diner. Let's talk about something happen, huh?"

My heart(s) dropped at the sight of Y/n's depressed face.

I fucked up. bad.

I didn't want to "take a break".

I wanted her, no, needed her now more than ever.

I finally decided to stop being pathetic and finally fix this.

I teleported back to the manor and headed straight for the lab.

Everyone was in there already doing miscellaneous and unimportant things.

"EVERYONE. WE ARE GOING TO THE DINER. NOW."

"Sir, is everything alright-"

"I'm gonna fix everything with Y/n. We need to go, now."

"Oh..alright. Let me just tie my-"

"NOW!" I yelled.

"Y-Yes Sir!"

We "convinced" the waitress to let us sit at a table directly across the room from the one Y/n was sitting at.

A lot of the customers ran out, suckers.

I stared at Y/n, watching her smile and laugh with the kids.

They were orphans, brother and sister.

And suddenly we made eye contact.

She locked her eyes with mine, the two kids confused at what she was looking at, until they followed her gaze to meet mine.

They obviously were frightened.

She surprised me when she stood up, and walked over to our table.

"Hey Guys," Y/n did a small smile.

I could see the bags under her eyes, meaning she hasn't slept very good.

"Hey Y/n," Flug nodded.

"Hi, Bestie!" Demencia smiled widely and 505 just waved.

She then looked at me, "Hello, Black Hat."

"Hello, Y/n."

Flug tried to relieve the tension, "so, Uh, Y/n. Wanna introduce us to your..friends?"

"Oh, erm, I think they're..afraid," Y/n turned towards the duo of kids, the older sister having her arm held across the brother, who held onto it.

"Me and Rae were working at the orphanage today and they were having a bad day so I thought it'd be nice to take them out."

"I see," I nodded.

"Uh Huh..well, I better get back to them. I'll see you guys around, I guess."

"Bye," Flug waved, along with 505.

"See ya!" Said Demencia.

"...bye," was all I could muster up.

And not even 5 minutes later, Y/n and the children straight out of the diner.

I watched as they began to cross the road...
