//Third POV//

After that whole mess, Black Hat wanted you to stay over and you complied.

You ended up sleeping with him. (in his bed, not sex, you dirty~)

Despite his tight embrace on you and constantly whispering in your ear little "I love you"s, you didn't get much sleep that night.

You felt...out of place.

It was painfully obvious to Black Hat that you were still upset about the whole situation.

Especially in the morning.

When the both of you woke up, Black Hat was the only one who said "Good morning, dearest."

You just stayed quiet and pretended to sleep, even though you knew he was aware that you were awake.

He decided to leave you to rest, getting ready for the day while you just laid there.

He tried to make conversation but you just stayed quiet, staring at the wall.

You remembered the night before that Black Hat told you he wouldn't let you die, but it just all felt so real.

It felt like he said that last second.

Saved you last second.

It only proved what Dr. Purple said to sound more true.

It hurt. Bad.

You were angry, but sad, but grateful.

You cried to him an "I love you" that night but it seemed empty, sort of out of desperation.

You didn't know what to feel, but you knew you just wanted him to leave you be.

But he just kept pushing, and pushing, pushing..

By the time it was 11 in the morning, you finally got out of bed, took a shower and changed into the clothes you brought with you in the manor.

As you walked downstairs, Black Hat immediately walked over to you.

"Hello Dear," Black Hat smiled.

"..hi," You mumbled.

Black Hat's smile started to fade, "Erm, would you like some breakfast?"

"Not hungry."

"Oh..that's alright. Would you like to-"

"I'm gonna go back to Rae's," You interrupted him, not wanting to hear him.

"Okay..would you like me to walk you?"

"No."

"...okay..be safe," Black Hat laid a gentle kiss on your forehead.

Why did you have the urge to wipe it off?

Black Hat was confused on his part.

'Why is she so quiet? Is she mad at me?'
He thought.

He knew you were pretty upset about yesterday but you seemed more pissed than worried.

The night before you were crying to him "I love you" and now you wouldn't even talk to him.

"Flug," Black Hat called to his scientist.

"Y-Yes sir?"

"I think Y/n is upset with me..do you think it is because of what I did yesterday?"

"To be frank with you s-sir, I think Y/n sort of h-has a right to be angry. She thought y-you were gonna let her d-die," Flug stated.

"But I didn't let her die! I saved her."

"That doesn't m-mean she isn't still in shock," Dr. Flug pointed out.

"..." Black Hat looked to the floor.

"I think you should leave her alone for a bit. I'll keep in touch with Rae to check up how she's doing."

"Fine."

Black Hat stormed out of the room, frustrated.

It pained him to have to not talk to you, see you, hold you, let alone kiss you.

He tried to distract himself with paperwork, but you kept popping into his head.

It seemed as if no matter what ever he did, you never seemed to leave him alone.

//Rae's POV// (that's new owo)

I heard the front door open to my apartment.

In came Y/n, trudging in, looking like she was about to cry.

"Y/n!" I ran up to her, "I heard about what happened yesterday! I'm so glad you're okay!"

I hugged her, but she just stood there.

"Y/n? What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I'm fine," She said in a monotone voice.

"Um..okay.."

She walked into the kitchen, staring at the ground.

I saw small tears coming out of her eyes, "He doesn't love me."

//Flug's POV//

My phone started to ring.

It was Rae.

"Hello?" I put my phone to my ear, only to be greeted with the sound of sobbing in the background.

"Tyler. I need to talk to your boss."

"Why? Who's crying?"

"Just put me on the phone with him. Now."

One thing I've learned from hanging out with Rae is that when her voice gets serious like that, she means business.

"Okay.."

I walked down to his office and knocked on the door.

"J-jefe?" I cracked the door open.

He was staring blankly at paperwork on his desk.

I swear I saw him blink tears out of his eyes.

"Yes?" He realized I was there.

"Rae said she wants to talk to you. She sounds mad."

"Oh..alright."

I put the phone on speaker for him.

//Black Hat's POV// (get ready, folks this is gonna get intense)

"Hello?" I spoke into the phone.

"Black Hat. You fucked up royally."

"W-What? Who are you to-"

I heard sobbing in the background of the other line.

"No, no, no. Who are you to play with a girl's emotions, hm? What sort of joy does it give you?"

"What are you talking about?" I squinted my eyes, confused.

"Really? Get over here right now and you'll see."

She hung up.

"Wha...??" Flug looked just as confused as I was.

"I don't know. Let's just get over there."

"Sir, I think it's best that you go alone," Flug walked out of the room.

I immediately teleported to Rae's apartment.

"What? Do you want?" I asked her.

Her face was red, hot with rage.

"Come with me, I want you to hear what you did!"

I followed her as she stomped upstairs.

The sound of crying, it was getting louder and sounded more familiar.

We were standing outside a bedroom door when it was the most familiar.

Was that..?

"You broke Y/n's heart. How could you?"

"I-What did I do?!"

"UGH! Boys!" Rae yelled, "Listen to me. Y/n told me about what happened.That little stunt you pulled with 'pretending' to let Y/n die didn't work out as smoothly as you thought it would. Y/n has lost all trust in you! If you want to still be with her, I suggest you try to fix things now."

She did air quotes when she said pretending.

"I...oh my god," I basically ran into her room.

She was hunched over her bed, sobbing.

I kneeled next to her, "Y/n.."

I tried to reach for her but she swatted my arm away, "Leave. Me. Alone."

"Y/n, please, let me talk to you. I didn't mean to upset you."

"Really? You didn't mean to upset me while sacrificing me for your business??" She looked at me, her face red and full of tears.

"No! I mean- I didn't sacrifice you! You're still here! I wasn't gonna let you die. Y/n, I walked through that electric barrier for you, and I'd do it again. You know that."

"No, I don't!"

"Y/n it was the only way. It was to make I didn't lose you and the business!"

"What's more important, Black Hat?! Tell me!"

"You are to me, Y/n! Let me talk-"

"Wait, no! It's neither. It's money, money is what's most important to you! I mean- you only started acting to love me when we found out my dad is loaded!"

"Y/n, don't talk like that! I love you and would never use you for money. I'd give all the money in world for you."

"See, that's what I fell for. I..I'm such an idiot! I fell for some fake, sweet talker that that'll talk me up but when it comes down to a life or death situation, no! It's every man for themselves, right Black Hat?!" She screamed.

"Y/N, IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" I yelled.

"DON'T LIE TO ME!" Y/n yelled back.

I took a deep breath, "Y/n, please. Let's just talk!"

"Get out. Now."

"Y/n, I-"

"I thinks it best if you leave, Black Hat," Rae interrupted me.

"I...*sigh* Y/n. Let me know when you want to talk."

And I teleported out, tears starting to fall from my eyes.
