//Your POV//
I filled in missing slots of the guidelines, helping a colleague out.
I printed out the paper as soon as I was done and walking towards his desk on the other side of the office.
"Thanks, Y/n," Daniel nodded, and took if from my hands.
"Whatever," I scoffed.
"Y/n? I have one more thing to ask you," Daniel asked.
"What?"
"When are you going to take a vacation?"
"How does this concern you?" I crossed my arms.
"Well, it concerns me and the whole office. We worry about you, even boss," Daniel put a hand on my shoulder, "I know you've been through a lot this past year, but you've been working nonstop. If you're not working here, you're working at home! It's unhealthy!"
People around us must've noticed me clench my fist, making them say "Uh-Oh" or "He's in for it now".
"Daniel, if I wanted to hear your rant on how my personal life affects my fellow employees, then I would've asked, but I didn't, so I don't want to hear this from you again. Do I make myself clear?" I swatted his hand off my shoulder.
He gulped, "Y-Yes Y/n, I'm sorry Y/n."
"It's fine. Don't let it happen again."
"Y/n L/n? Sorry to bother your...erm,conversation. Mr. Hilenberg would like to see you in his office," Nancy Woodriff, my boss's secretary asked.
"Okay," I nodded.
Unlike everyone else, I'm not afraid of my boss, Mr. Hilenberg, mostly because I get everything done on time or early and he sees me as his own daughter.
I shut the door behind me, and sat down on the chair across from him and his shiny, new desk.
"Hello Y/n, how are you feeling?" He Said in his gruff voice.
"Same old same old," I shrugged.
"Would you like a cup of tea?"
"No thanks," I waved my hand.
"How about coffee?"
"Now you're speaking my language, boss," I smiled.
"Ho,ho,ho. I should've known from the start that you'd want coffee," He laughed.
Mr. Hilenberg was a kind man and an all around push over, easy to take advantage of, but clever enough to outsmart you when he realized you are using him.
He made me coffee quickly and set the mug in front of me.
"So, I saw your quarrel with Mr. Morrison just now," He took a long sip of his honey tea.
"I'm sorry sir. It won't happen again."
"It's alright Y/n, But Daniel was right. You need a break."
"Sir, you know-"
"I know dear, I know. How about this?" Mr. Hilenberg put his hands together, "You go on a company paid trip to do an interview? No deadline. No pressure."
"Hmm..Maybe. On who?"
Mr. Hilenberg wrote down a name on a piece of loose leaf paper, along with an address and his signature.
"I can pull a few strings so you can interview him. I'm sure he'd be glad to have an interview."
I looked at the paper.
"Hatsville..Mexico?! Sir, you can't send me to Mexico, it would be so much money!" I protested.
(If you already live in Mexico, then you live far away from Hatsville.)
"No worries Y/n, I have it all covered," Mr. Hilenberg took my empty mug away.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Y/n, You need this."
"Okay, I'll do it. Anything I need to know? Certain questions?" I asked, inquiring to make a spreadsheet I can study.
"He's a retired villain that now owns a business that makes products for other villains," My boss explained.
"I think I can work with that," I nodded.
"Of course you can, N/n(Nickname). You can do anything you put your mind to with that noggin of yours," Mr. Hilenberg ruffled my hair.
"Okay, Thank you Sir."
"No problem, now I want you to leave early today so you can get ready. Tickets for the plane and a voucher for the hotel will be in your P.O Box by tomorrow morning. Have a nice day," Mr. Hilenberg walked me out of his office.
I left the room and I went back to my cubicle.
I put all my papers in my folder and packed up my C/n (Company name; Apple, Chromebook, Hp, etc.) laptop.
I left the office and headed towards the street.
"Taxi!" I yelled to a yellow cab.
"G'day, luv."
I hopped in the back.
"Rose's café," I ordered.
"Aight," The Blue haired man nodded and drove me off.
He dropped me off, and I paid him 15 dollars.
I went in and ordered a F/f (Favorite Flavor) latte.
I decided I'd walk the rest of the way to my apartment complex.
I walked two blocks until I reached the complex.
The neighborhood was quiet and that's what I liked about it.
Perfect Peacefulness.
Once I reached my apartment, I locked the door behind me and put my things down on my kitchen table.
I stared at the paper.
"Black Hat.." I mumbled.
'What a strange name,' I thought.
Out of curiosity, I googled his name.
Nothing.
For a business man, that's strange there's nothing about him on the internet.
I turned off my laptop and after taking a shower, put on sleepwear.
"I guess I'm going to Mexico.."
Soon, I fell asleep.
