Chapter 4
JBV: Ally is just evil
Ally: Why thank you :D
March 3rd, 2006
Aquito's POV
Fire. Destruction. Smoke. That was all I saw as I frantically searched through the rubble and debris for the girl who meant the world to me, the girl I know I could love with all my heart for the rest of my life, and the one girl who was stuck in our parents' room with fresh tears streaming down her chubby cheeks as she pounded on the door, the fire engulfing her in fiery orange, red and yellow licks of flame, deadly to the touch. My little sister, Ashley Shadow. Tears filled my bright blue eyes as I rumaged through the crumbling house my parents, my sister and I lived, dodging the rock coming down from the ceiling, each piece threatening to crush me beneath it's weight as I coughed and hacked, my small lungs not able to take the amount of smoke in them. Despite this, I shot my Jellyish at the flames in hopes to tame the flames, for I didn't have an Aquabeek, and to my disappointment, it didn't affect the flames, but made the fire spread faster. My heart pumping rapidly in uttermost fear, I bolted up the stairs of my house, the fire licking from the walls threatening to sear my arms and scar me for life.
"MAMA! PAPA! AQUA!" I heard a frightened, terrified voice squeal in horror as I stopped and turned around.
"HELP ME!!" My youngest sister yelled, and I could imagine the fear and tears in her eyes as I heard fists hammer on the wooden door, dangerously close to collasping. I hollered in reply,
"ASHLEY, HOLD ON! AQUA'S HERE!" I shot my frostcrawler at the fire, which melted to be water and drenched the flames, stopping them. The fire upstairs was solved, but downstairs was still filled with flames my frostcrawler, Jack, couldn't handle. I bolted towards the door of the nursery, which was where Ashley was, her tiny fists banging on the door faster as she screamed, and I fumbled with the doorknob, my etes tearing up I struggled to open it.
"AQUA, HELP ME! PLEASE!" I heard her scream as the vision of her being engulfed by flames haunted me and chilled me to the core despite the sweltering heat, and her voice screamed to me for help, screamed at me to help her, screamed with despair and helplessness as she thought it was over for her.
And the ceiling to the nursery collapsed, and her screams were silenced.
"ASHLEY! ASHLEY!!" I shouted with all the breath I had left in my lungs, I banged my fists on the door, my hoarse voice yelling her treasured name, and when I couldn't scream anymore, I sank to my knees, my body heaving and shaking as my sobs shook my body, the fire threatening to kill me, to take me in its embrace and squeeze the life out of me.
"AQUITO! AQUITO! ARE YOU HERE?!" I heard my mother holler, her voice filled with fear as I heard a slug fire. I wiped my eyes, and relief filled my lungs, and using the voice I had left, I shouted,
"MOM! I'M HERE!" I got up, and was about to step forward when a piece of the ceiling plummented and landed on the place where I was about to step, and I screamed in fright, but was soothed at the sight of my loving mother at the end of the staircase. Her raven black hair was disarray and falling out of it's ponytail, her expression slightly relived at the sight of me, her white snd blue shirt stained with soot and charred by fire, and her tights filled with blackened holes. Cuts and bruises covered her usually fair skin, some bigger than others, but her eyes lit up when she saw me and she ordered,
"Aquito, stay where you are! I'm coming for you!" She climbed the stairs swiftly but carefully, but I was wary about the last step. It looked weak and sickly, and always creaked when you stepped on it. Cracks surrounded the step, and became more distinctive as new ones appeared when my mother came close. A few steps more and-
"MOM WATCH OUT!!" I yelled, but it was too late. Her left foot hit the last stair, and it broke under her weight.
And I helplessly watched as she plummented into the basement, the fire engulfing her into its deceiving arms.
"MOTHER!!"
Luna's POV
"Come on Ally, that's it, you can do it...." Anthony, my younger brother by two years, cooed at my younger sister by 10 years as he taught her how to use her powers. I smiled to myself while listening to her squeals as Anthony caught the berry she was supposed to be lifting while I scribbled words on my notepad, searching for inspiration for the story I was supposed to be writing for my English homework, but my mind wasn't synced to the story, or the voices of my little sister. My powers were still malfunctioning, they were still out of control. I couldn't teleport anywhere without teleporting a several dozen places, I couldn't lift a pencil without lifting every other thing within a hundred yards. I couldn't heal something without seriously harming everything within a hundred miles. I couldn't, and nobody knew why, no Shadow Clan member had the answer, not even Uncle Steven and Aunt Richotte had the answer to my powers going haywire. No doctor, no scientist, no healer, no one knew why my powers were messed up, ever since I unintentionally breathed in a whiff of Dark Smoke 3 years ago while Uncle William and I were ambushed on the way back from a slug hunt. My thoughts were interrupted as I felt small, smooth hands tug at the tight material of my dark blue tights, and I tore my eyes away from my empty, white piece of paper. My little sister was looking up at me, her blue eyes hopeful and happy as she climbed onto my lap. I smiled as I bounced her and heard her giggles and laughs as I bounced her on my knee.
"Can you make things float like Anty?" She asked me with curiosity in her eyes, and I gave her a small smile as I ruffled her already wavy, already messy and naturally disarray light chocolate hair, which was just past her small shoulders.
"Not now, Ally, but someday." Ally looked at me with a questioning look in her eyes, and before she could ask another question, loud banging could be heard from the door, and an explosion sounded outside. Instinctively, Anthony grabbed Ally and I ran to my room to get my blaster and slugs. I put on my wrist blaster on my left hand and grabbed my hand blaster with my right, loaded Embera, my Lavalynx, and my Rammstone, Hammerfist, into my hand blaster before standing in front of the front door.
"Who's that?!" I growled angrily, trying my best to sound threatening, and a dark chuckle chilled me to the bone as a dark, drawling voice asked,
"Oh, dear, sweet Luna, you don't remember me?" My eyes snapped opened as realization dawned upon me, and I decided this could only be one person.
"Anthony, hide with Ally." I commanded, and he didn't hesitate to run for the basement, a confused, slightly frightened Ally in his trembling arms. I opened the door and didn't hesitate to shoot Blakk in the face with Embera, my Lavalynx before he could say anything.
Leo S: You Héroes have no chill
Leo S: Absolutely none
Leo S: Anyone who shoots Blakk in the face with lava should forever be respected Anty you hating on the wrong girl
A grin grew onto my face as his neutral, grim expression turned into an expression of fear as he barely dodged Embera, and I shot him with Hammerfist, right in the middle of his humongous, fat laden, probably hairy chest, but to my surprise, he reacted quickly and shot...I don't even know what he shot. A monster came out from the end of his blaster, taking the shape of a velocimorph but instead of the vibrant red, smooth but sturdy electric blue horns and sunset orange eyes the slug should have, the slug had jagged, yellowish white horns, each jagged, deadly sharp tip covered in a dark, thick substance, a substance which could cause so much destruction with just one, tiny, minuscule drop of it's hated, vile, evil substance, and that very same substance ran just below a thin layer of white bone. It's eyes, it's innocence crushed, turning it into a cruel, heartless monster. the insides of it's once sunset orange eyes covered with black, lined with a sickly, dark red, lighter than blood, but much, much more dangerous, the veins around the slug's eyes emphasized and blackened as the... that thing flew towards me with seemingly lightning speed. Each of it's deadly sharp teeth glinted in the light, and chills ran down my spine as it approached nearer and nearer.
"LUNA!" I heard a feminine, familiar voice shout, and I felt myself being shoved aside roughly, and I crashed to the tiled floor as my mother held back the terrifying monster with her gravity powers, her hand just centimeters away from the monster's face as it floated in place. Green tongues of light sprung fron my mother's hand and wrapped itself around the monster, and I cringed as it's tortured, deafening screams filled the halls, until the lights encased the monster completely, and with one final shriek, the lights faded and a healed, regular Rammstone fell to the ground, unharmed, completely healed.
"Mary, dear, welcome to the party. Your daughter, she gave me a rude welcome. Have you made your decision?" I looked at my mother, who's sapphie blue eyes narrowed as they glared at him with absolute fury, her teeth gritting as the knuckles in her right hand whitened due to her hardened grip on her blaster.
"You're a retarded fool if you think I'll give up my children, Blakk." She growled and he stepped into the house, and guards began searching the house, searching for the two people who he wanted oh so much, and I loaded my Forgesmelter, Fire, at him, and he screamed in pain and fell to the ground as the slug covered him with scalding hot lava before turning back to protoform.
"YOU'LL NEVER HAVE THEM!" I heard the voice of my fayher downstairs in the basement as slugs fired from beneath the surface. My mother's eyes widened with fear before she ordered,
"Luna, help your father, I'll handle things here!" She sht multiple slugs at the guards, and I agreed before I ran downstairs, but before I did, I used my malfunctioning powers to use, and before those guards realized what happened, all of the soldiers fell to the floor, unconscious. I ran to the basement, my heart stopped at the sight. My father was standing in front of a crystalized wall, head bleeding, blaster loaded and shooting. My heart cracked when I heard my sister's cries and sobs, and I imagined Anthony trying unsucessfully to comfort her, tears running down his own eyes.
"LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE!" I growled with anger and shot my slugs at the guards, Frostcrawler, Rammstone, Armashelt, Tazerling. More kept on coming, and I heard my father yell,
"LUNA, GO! TAKE YOUR SIBLINGS AND RUN!" I turned to him and was about to do what he said just when he was hit by a Grimmstone to the head and fell to the floor. And to my horror, he remained still. I wanted to heal him.
But I would hurt my mother, and my siblings badly. Very badly. Before I could do anything, they pinned me towards the wall with an Attacknet, the webs stinging my arms as I struggled to break free from the multiple webs they shot at me as they broke the Geoshard wall, my siblings inside.
"YOU'LL NEVER TAKE US ALIVE!" Anthony yelled, and I heard a voice, a familiar voice that shrieked when her clothes got wet and whined endlessly during Physical Education, but laughed wickedly as she took down her opponents with slugs in Slugslinging class, growl as she said,
"Yeah, yeah, now come over before things get harder for you." Emily Argus Blakk unhooked a throwing knife from her belt and aimed it at my brother, the tip deadly sharp and stained with Dark Water and blood.
