Clarissa's P.O.V

"What's going on?! Somebody help!", I shouted from the  top of lungs.
His breathing became ragged and his hands were shaking.

"Helppppppppppp!!!", I paced around frantically, waiting for a nurse to tend to him, tears streaming down my face.

Beep beep beep beep beep beep

The heart beat monitor showed that his heart was beating too fast.
"Ma'am I need you to step aside!", A nurse said trying to appear calm but by the beads of sweat forming on her forehead, she was anything but calm.

"No I can't leave him!", I said shaking my head profusely, refusing to leave until I know that he's going to be okay. I was sobbing so hard and to add insult to injury , Alec went unconscious again. About two more nurses came speaking and directing each other on what to do but my mind couldn't process what they were saying.

"1,2,3 "

"1,2,3"

"1,23"

Beeeeeeeeeeppppppppppp....Then the line went flat

My mind- I couldn't- I- What's going on— I can't— He's— He's dead?

"Clarissa!"

I felt a heart wrenching ache, the pain tearing through my body. My hands started to shake and my heart started to race.

"You can't leave me Alec", I croaked—

"Clarissa!"

I jumped up screaming Alec's name. Holding a hand to my heart, I looked to see a very concerned and sad Miranda hugging me. "You looked like you were dying over and over again mentally, he's going to be ok Rissa", Miranda hugged me tightly to reassure me. I smiled tightly and hugged her, I tried to believe her even though I felt the tears dripping from her eyes onto my oversized T-Shirt.

I love my bestfriend. She tries to be strong for me even though she's feeling really down. She tries to reassure me even though she needs reassurance herself. She's always there for me.
What would I do without her? I sighed and responded to her words. "Alec is going to be just fine", with a firm mind, I started believing my words.

"Hey did you hear?", Miranda's sudden excitement caught my attention.
"Hear what?", I asked her, looking at her dreamy eyes that are definitely not meant for me.
"Alec's brother is in town", she said gleefully.

What?

"Alec had a brother—

"Yes! And he's so cute omfg! I'm totally crushing! I call dibs, although I don't have to cause you know..Alec, but Rissa! He's totes hot, I would definitely smash that—

"Miri Miri calm down, take a deep breath", I looked at her amusingly. A blush creeped on her cheeks, I guffawed at her, laughing my ass off. If someone told me a week ago that Miranda would be like this for a guy , I'd laugh in your face.

"But I don't understand, Alec never mentioned a brother", I said thoughtfully. Miranda just shrugged and kept day dreaming about who knows what.

"Let's go visit Alec right now", she jumped up smiling.

"Since when were you soooo excited to visit My man", I asked in a playful sassy tone.

"Cause bitchhhh, my man Daniel is there", she replied in the same playful sassy tone which had us both snorting at our weirdness.

"Yeah right, your man....", I said mockingly, she smacked my head as I ran into the bathroom to get ready to visit Alec.

45 minutes later...

"We're here to visit Alec Kerrington", I said to the lady at the front desk.

"And who are you to him?", the receptionist asked. I flipped my hair in a sassy manner and told her that I was his fiancé.

"Room—

"We already know thanks", I smiled at the grumpy looking lady and we  made our way to Alec's room.

Knock knock

"Come in", I heard an unfamiliar voice called out.

We pushed the door and went inside, the first thing that catched my eyes is the way Alec looked.

He looked...

"Not like himself?", I heard the same unfamiliar voice voicing out my thoughts.

"Yes, and who are you?", I asked curiously, looking at the 6 ft blonde curly headed boy. He had ocean blue eyes and he had somewhat a babyface look going on for him.

"I'm Alec's brother", he smiled, a dimple appearing on his right cheek.

"Oh, Hello, I'm sorry I didn't recognize, you both have very different features", I said giving him a small smile.

"All good, different father", He explained.

"I see", I said and left him to chatter with Miranda as I made my way to Alec's bed.

My eyes started to water but I held them in. I held my head down on his chest and held his hand.

Too much crying weak bitch.

"You can cry you know, it doesn't mean that you're weak"

I snapped my head back up so fast I think I had a whiplash. I burst out into tears of joy as I saw a smiling Alec staring at me with his adorable eyes.

A more drained out Alec, but Alec nonetheless.
I threw my hands around him and smeared his face with kisses upon kisses. He chuckled and his dull eyes showed a beautiful sparkle.

"I missed you too, love", He whispered, his voice being hoarse.

"I love when you call me love", I gave him a bright smile and kissed him.

"Surprise", I heard a small voice behind me. Miranda gave me a very big smile.

"You knew he was awake?!"

"I got a call when you were taking forever in the bathroom, Daniel told me that he was awake"

"And you didn't even think of telling me this during our car ride when I was freaking out?", I asked narrowing my eyes at her.

"I—oops?", she said backing away, looking a little fearful.

"Come here stupid", I laugh and gave her a big hug.

"Oh good, you're not going to kill me", she let out a breath of relief. Extra ass, I laugh to myself.

"Oh and Clarissa?", Miranda voiced after pulling away from our hug.

"Yeah?"

"You weren't panicking when you told the receptionist that you were Alec's fiancé", she stressed fiancé mockingly.

"What?!", Daniel teased, I turned away embarrassed, a pink shade taking over my whole face.

"Why laugh? She's going to be my wife some day"

I snapped my head to Alec, he have me a soft smile full of endearment. My eyes water and I was just about to respond but then my butt decided to let out a big fart.

Everyone was dying with laughter. Screaming and crying with laughter.

I was so mortified.

"Ground open and  swallow me please", I hid my face from my terrible friends.

"You—

"Farted—

"In the middle of this romantic scene—

"You farted—

And then they started hollering and I joined the sea of laughter.

I mean, it didn't stink, so that's a plus right?

Right?
