Clarissa's P.O.V

"I envy you so much right now", Miranda pouted admiring the small silver ring on my finger.

"I envy you too", I replied absent mindedly.

"Huh? What do you envy me for?", She asked looking at me like a mad woman.

"Huh? What do you envy me for?", I repeated looking at the gorgeous ring on my finger.

It's so beautiful. It has a moon like shape, a half moon and a full moon with an opening between them.

How did he afford this? I know that his uncle is rich b----

"Wait! You bitch! You aren't paying attention to me are you?", She exclaimed sighing.

"I did! I listened to you! The meaning of the words weren't sinking in", I mumbled the last part quite embarassed with myself.

"Why? Why? Why did I have to end up having you as my bestfriend", She exclaimed dramatically, flapping her hands in the air.

Giggling like a school girl high drugs, I decided to stop gazing at the glorious ring.

One more look.

"So pretty", I admired, literally ogling at it.

"Clarissa!", Miranda scolded, shaking both of my arms scowling at me.

"Okay okay! I'm sorry", I blushed as I hid my face with my hair.

"Soo How are things with Ryan?", I asked genuinely.

"So good! The sex was ama----"

Before she could get another word out I smacked my hands on her mouth.

"No thank you Miranda, I would simply rather not hear about your experiences with Ryan", I said shuddering at the thought.

"Fine, now I want to hear all about Mr Kerrington", She declared, giving me a don't you dare lie to me look.

Mr Kerrington.

"Did you just lick your lips?"

"O My God! You totally did!", She squealed jumping up and down like a headless chicken.

"I---uh---Ugh! So what if I did! Can't I be bad just for once!", I sighed pouting my lips.

"Naughty, I see", She winked at me making me roll my eyes for the gazillionth time.

"Whatever, Dingle Dick is taking me out on a date approximately in 4 hours time to a fair, I'm supposed to meet him there ", I grinned broadly, jumping up and down.

"And just like that ladies and gentlemen Clarissa falls flat on her face....Once again", Miranda bursted out laughing.

"Ouch, you know Miranda, you're such a bitch!", I shouted wincing from the pain coming from every part of my body.

"Ok I want to join you", Miranda said lowly.

"Aaahhhh, mother holy hell", I managed to scream out.

"Sheesh babe, no need to be so loud", She winked as she got off me.

"Ryan is totally rubbing off on you", I stated grimmly.

I looked to see what tripped me and there it was.

Mustering the hardest glare I cursed the damn doll.

"You belong in the physc ward babe", Miranda said looking at me like I'm an alien.

"I'll take that as a compliment, now shall we take a lovely romantic stroll on the beach ma'lady, I'm so happy that the winter season is over, Bloody hell it was cold", I said in a thick british accent.

Well that's what I wanted for it sound like.

"No, no, don't ever do that again Rissa", Miranda said it so serious that I burst out laughing.

"Am I so terrible?God", I snorted in an unlady like manner.

"You have no idea child and yes I'll take up on your offer, let's go off into the sunset. I'm so happy that the winter season is over", She sighed contently dragging me by the arms.

"Now go and wear something sexy for mama will you", She winked making me laugh.

Stripping off my clothes, I took out my phone and played "Shower playlist".

Yep, I have a shower playlist, sue me!

I just so love music.

I stepped into the shower feeling the cool water cascading down my body.
A sigh escaped my lips as the water came in contact with my scalp.

One of my favorite song blasted through ny phone speaker as I sang along.

"Clarissa! There's a problem with your mom, come out now", Miranda yelled over the sound of the shower.

Having to cut the shower short, I hurriedly wrapped the towel around my body and opened the door to see

"Mom?", I asked feeling a swirl of emotions bursting through me.

"What are you doing here? How?I tried to track you down but that son of a bitch Damion must've discarded his phone. Did he let you go? I don't understand", I rambled as I hugged her, crying

"Shh it's okay baby, I'll explain everything to you",She said hushing and hugging me.

"I'll leave you two", Miranda said, taking that as her cue to leave.

"No stay Miranda, you need to hear this. I'll call Caroline and Camilla, I'll be right back", She said going downstairs confusing both of us.

"What's so important that she calls a family meeting", I said racking my head for answers.

"More importantly, why am I needed here? ", Miranda said making us both confused, suspicious and full of questions.

"Okay, Caroline and Camilla will be here in a few minutes", Mom said closing the door behind her.

"Mom,I don't understand,what's going on---"

"Ssh, All will be explained soon", She said looking tired and exhausted.

I'm officially worried.

What made her so silent? Why is Miranda needed here? Why did mom came back home without a scratch? And how is she here in the first place?
I guess I'll soon find out.

And I have to prepare myself for the inevitable.

Alec's P.O.V

Kicking down the side stand, I slid off my motorcycle and started walking towards the gate of the fair.

I'm supposed to meet Clarissa at 6:30 P.M here and it's now 6:10 P.M

Okay! I'm twenty minutes early but I will not tell her that. Knowing her she would say, "Aww Is Dingle dick a sick love puppy waiting twenty minutes early for his sweetheart" , then she would pinch my cheeks.

Laughing at the thought I payed for two tickets.

"One ticket for me and there will be a girl coming here at 6:30 so keep the ticket and she will verify her name as Clarissa when she gets here", I told the man incharge of selling the tickets.

"Sure thing sir, have a nice day at Sundown Fair", The man replied cheerfully, then he went on serving another customer.

I took her to this fair because it's happening at night and I really wanted her to see the city lights on the Ferris Wheel.

Seeing the spare time I have before she comes, I decided to play Ring Toss to win a prize for her.

"I would like to win that prize", I declared, pointing to the giant human sized pink teddy bear.

"For a special lady?", The old man smiled and asked as he handed me the rings.

"Very", I smiled thinking about her.

"Well, Good Luck", He wishes cheerfully.

10 minutes later...

"Congratulations! You've won the prize for your lady!", He said handing me the teddy bear.

Smiling, I was about to say thank you when someone interrupted us.

"Charlie! Did you eat something? You are working too hard!", A woman scolded, kissing him on the lips.

Okay.

My cue to leave.

I started walking away as I grin over took my face, I wonder how Clarissa and I would be when we grow old together.

I checked the time on my watch as I saw that six thirty has already passed.

I started looking for her in the sea of people walking by.

Clarissa's P.O.V

I bobbed my head to "Like I'm gonna Lose You" by Meghan Trainor as it played loudly in my ears due to my headphone.

"Where are we going mom?", I asked tiredly.

"California darling", She replied as she continued driving.

I shut my eyes as the pain shot through my heart again. The tears came flowing down for the fifth time today.

I took out my phone and messaged Alec with my trembling hands as tear drops falls onto the surface of my phone.

36 message from Dingle Dick.

And I couldn't look at one of them cause I know that I would fall apart then and there.

Alec's P.O.V

12:16 A.M

Disappointment.

Hurt.

That's what I felt as I slumped down on the wooden chair closing my eyes, holding the giant teddy bear in my arms.

"Sir! Uh--- We're closing now, are you still waiting for her?", I heard a man voice said.

"Uh---no, but wait, Can I have a ride on the Ferris Wheel?", I asked awkardly.

"Sure thing!", He said looking at me with pity.

I tried not to feel angry/hurt/disappointed.

There must be a reason why she stood me up.

What's the reason for not returning your calls or messages?

Shut up! I pushed down that thought as I tried climbing shakily into the Ferris Wheel without no luck.

"Hey man, you okay? Are you afraid of heights or something?", The man shouted as he saw that I was struggling to get on the seat.

"Uh---yes, but that's okay!", I said quickly as I did my best and climbed into the seat.

"Okay! If you're sure", He said as he switched the on button and it started to spin slowly.

I gripped onto the teddy bear heavily as sweat trickled down my face.

I tried not to remember when my mother put me on the rooftop of our house for punishment because I theft out a spoon of sugar and ate it.

As I was nearing the top, I closed my eyes and thought about clarissa.

Her face gave me comfort and I opened my eyes and smiled.

*Ping*

One new message from "Love"

Yes she finally text---

"We're done."

The phone slipped from my grasp and fell down on the ground beneath me as for the first time in a long time tears came pouring out of my eyes.

Then all I saw was RED.

"LET ME OUT OF THIS SEAT RIGHT NOW", I shouted furiously.

"But sir---"

"I SAID LET ME OUT OF THIS FUCKING SEAT!", I yelled as pain tore its way through my heart.

As I reached th bottom, I jumped on my motorcycle and sped off into the direction of her house.

She does not get to leave me like this.

She--can't be that cruel

Can she?

No, that is not my Clarissa.

As I reached her house in the matter of five minutes, I went straight to the door and knocked.

No answer.

And then it hit me,I remembered the spare key she keeps under the Welcome mat.

Lifting up the mat I took it up and unlocked the door.

"CLARISSA, WH----"

I stopped in my tracks as I saw that it was empty.

The house was empty.

Where's the furniture?

I raced upstairs as my heart beat kept escalating.
I dashed into her room to see.

No one.

Her room was empty.

And that's when I finally break.

I slid down and leaned me head back on the wall as my heart shattered into pieces.

"Why? Why Clarissa? Why? I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU SO MUCH, GOD--- I", I Screamed as the tears won't stop flowing.

How cruel could she be?

"FUCK!", I shouted when my fist came in contact with the wall.
