CHAPTER 9 EDITED
RECAP:
"Hn," Sasuke arrogantly said sticking his hand into his pocket and walking off. He suddenly stopped and looked back.
"I still want a spar with you," he grunted and left.
Sakura had hearts in her eyes, "He's so hot," she gushed happily. The pinknette suddenly realized she just missed her chance to walk with her crush.
"Bye Yuzuki-chan! I need to catch up with Sasuke-kun! See you tomorrow!" She yelled as she ran after the ravenette.
Yuzuki stood alone by the lake and watched the water quietly. She gave herself a determine slap on her face.
"Alright! Let's do this!!!" Yuzuki yelled doing the hand signals
YUZUKI P.O.V.
I groaned hearing the annoying chirping of the birds. I snapped my eyes open realizing I never hear bird chirping in my bed room.
I sat up quickly, making all the birds around me fly off. I winced when I felt a light pain from my head because I sat up too quickly. I remembered how I trained until late at night, I sighed and got off the moist forest floor. I groaned in disappointment seeing all the dirt and grass stain on my shorts.
H- I mean Grandpa was probably worried. I looked up to the sky and saw it was still pretty dark, so it must still be early, 4 or 5 o'clock at the most. I yawned and stretched before deciding I should probably head back. But as soon as I stepped foot into the village I was surrounded by five or six ninja with animal masks.
I smile at them and bowed showing respect to the highly trained anbu.
"Good morning," I greet with a smile.
One of the anbu let out a throaty deep chuckle and shook his head.
"Yuzuki-chan, Hokage-sama has been searching for you all night long, we where send out to look for you," I stared at the tall man with the familiar cat mask on.
"Sorry Kitty-san, I was training last night and when I noticed I woke up in the woods, I probably passed out from exhaustion or something," I laughed rubbing my neck sheepishly.
After I came to the village I often hung around Grandpa's office and met many of his anbu. Kitty-san was the few I got close to, but sadly I couldn't learn his name because apparently it was top secret.
I blushed lightly when few of the anbu's chuckled at my statement, Kitty-san just shook his head before picking me up by my waist.
"Let's get to Hokage-sama's office before he has an heart attack," Kitty-san mutter as he transported us to Grandpa's office.
"Hokage-sama we fou-" Kitty-san was cut off as I was yanked out of his arm.
"Yuzuki, where have you been!" Grandpa worriedly questioned as he sat me on his lap.
Kitty-san sweat dropped but politely stood there, waiting for Grandpa to stop his bickering.
I sheepishly laughed and ran my hand through my short brown hair.
"Umm, well," I smiled, "I was out training last night and I kind of lost track of time, and I was a tiny winy bit tired so I was taking a nap but when I woke up I realized it was morning already," I decided to leave out the part of feinting from exhaustion because I didn't want him to send me to the hospital.
Grandpa gave me an disapproving look and shook his head, "You could have gotten sick, you always need to come back home at the night, do you understand?"
I nodded my head obediently, I looked out the window for a moment and remembered that I needed to meet Kakashi-san.
"Grandpa, I need to go back to the training ground again, I need to meet up with Kakashi-san's team, he promised me he'll train me!" I jumped up his lap and ran towards the window.
"Wai- You should go home and take a shower, Kakashi wont be th-"
I jumped out of the window not listening for the Hokage to finish his sentence. I squealed a bit as cold air rushed past me as I fell to the ground, I was about to kick the wall but some how my foot slipped making me to fall to the ground head first. My eyes widen in fear as the ground came closer at a fast rate. But suddenly I felt and overwhelming feeling spread through my mind. And with a loud click something changed.
My body twisted without my command, which made me face ground. With amazing grace I landed on my feet in an crouched position, my right hand slightly supporting my weight.
"Wow..." I muttered as I stood up slightly amazed. I looked down at my hands in amazement before looking up. I frowned lightly as I saw Grandpa sticking his upper body and head out of the window looking pale and shocked.
Kitty-san suddenly appeared next to me and grabbed my face examining me.
"Does anywhere hurt?" he harshly demanded looking at my legs and hands as he bent them. I shook my head and watched as he sighed in relief.
I frowned slightly as he looked at me through his cat mask, the only visible part on his face being his bright green eyes.
"I don't know how you don't have a single scratch on you, at the speed and height you were falling, both of your legs and hand that were supporting your body should be broken," Kitty-san muttered as he curled and uncurled my fingers.
I watched him as he patted me down looking for injuries, after he was satisfied he ruffled my short brown hair.
"You're good to go, don't train too hard you feint Yuzuki-chan," he whispered with amusement, I nodded and ran off to go to the training ground Kakashi-san was suppose to meet his team.
UNKNOWN P.O.V. (NOT REALLY KITTY-SAN P.O.V.)
I watched the short brown hair girl run off with narrowed eyes before transporting myself into Hokage-sama's office.
"Hokage-sama," I muttered, my face looking towards the ground while I crouched.
"Izumu, raise your head, is she alright?" the old man questioned worriedly as he sat in his seat. I was slightly surprised as he used my name.
"Not a single scratch sir, I don't understand, from the speed and height she was falling out, it's not possible for her to be injury free," I say as I take off the uncomfortable anbu mask.
My light short brown hair was slightly flat near my face because my mask, I rubbed it trying to fix it. My green eyes observed Hokage-sama who was deep in thought.
"I don't understand either, I've been searching for clans with dojutsu but I haven't found a single clan that describes Yuzuki, the speed of her memorizing information and jutsu aren't believable, the only clan that came out was the Uchiha. But none of her characteristics fits, and yet if a clan had such ability that Yuzuki showed they should be powerful yet..." Hokage-sama trailed off as he closed his eyes, his intertwined finger at his mouth.
He opened his eyes and looked directly at me, "Izumu, I'm assigning you a mission, I want you to gather information out of the village about dojutsu, anything that might fit Yuzuki's description."
I nodded in understanding, "Hai, how long would you like this mission to be?" I question as I put my mask back on.
"Two months, please gather as much information as you can, it'll probably better if you travel around as a merchant, keep your headband hidden, we do not want to cause any trouble with other villages, be safe Izumu, you are dismissed," I nod slightly before transporting to my room.
"Looks like I'm getting a quite long mission," I whispered to myself, while packing up. I slipped off my mask and pushed it into on of my drawers, knowing I wont be needing it for a while.
THIRD PERSON P.O.V.
Yuzuki sat in one of the branches waiting for team 7 to arrive, she brightened slightly when she noticed a certain Uchiha walking her way. His pale hands were stuffed into his pocked as he boredly walked to the tree Yuzuki sat in. He didn't seem to realize Yuzuki perched on it and leaned against the thick oak tree.
Yuzuki quickly jumped off and landed in front of the startled Uchiha.
'Damn, again' he thought as he slightly glared at the smiling girl in front of him.
His dark eyes narrowed as he took in the girls look. Her brown hair was sticking up in weird direction, having some sticks and leaves tangled in them, while her face and arms covered in dirt and scratches.
'Was she training all night?' he questioned himself looking at all dirt on her face.
She politely bowed at him before smiling kindly at him, "Good Morning Sasuke-san,"
"Hn," Sasuke simply returned the greeting and looked away from the small female.
At the corner of his eyes he measured her up, she was definitely small compared to the kids their age. He snorted quietly realizing she barely reached his chin, even smaller then Naruto, the stupid usuratonkatchi he disliked.
Different thoughts ran through the ravenette's head, he knew she was around his age or a year younger. And she was from the village that was massacred few weeks ago, but that was the only thing he knew. But it wasn't like he was interested.
"Ohayou! Yuzuki-chan, Sasuke-kun~!" Sakura yelled as she arrived. She batted her pink eyelashes at Sasuke making Yuzuki confused. Sasuke on the other hand glared at the pink haired female and looked away.
Sakura dejectedly sighed and turned towards Yuzuki. She gasped as she looked at the small girls condition.
"Yuzuki-chan! What happened to you?" Sakura questioned as she looked at the scratches on the females face.
"Uh, I was training last night and I just got them," Yuzuki lamely replied making both the children next to her raise their eyebrow.
"Here, I have some cream we could rub on it, I'll help you put it on, and then we'll try to take all the branches and leaves out," Sakura offered as she pulled out a small bottle out of her pouch.
Yuzuki nodded and bounded towards Sakura and let the Pinknette rub the clear cream on the scratches on her face.
"Thanks Sakura-san!" Yuzuki politely thanked and smiled cutely at Sakura who giggled.
"Just call me Sakura, and I'll call you Yuzuki," the brunette nodded and happily sat down next to Sakura.
Few minutes later Naruto ran over to them with a bright grin, "Good 'orning guys! Whoa, what happened to you Yuzuki-chan dattebayo!"
Naruto crouched in front of Yuzuki and peered into her face. Yuzuki surprised by her action fell back onto her back, but Sakura quickly sat her up.
"Oi baka, you're getting in her face," Sasuke muttered as he looked at Naruto annoyingly.
Naruto glared at Sasuke, his bright blue eyes burning with anger, "Shut up Dobe!"
Sasuke just glared at Naruto and looked away after he "Hn-ed"
Sakura glared at Naruto but continued to take out all the leaves out of Yuzuki's hair.
A comfortable silence fell until Yuzuki spoke up.
"I was able to preform the jutsu," Yuzuki suddenly said making everyone snap their eyes towards her.
'What?' Sasuke and Sakura thought as they stared at the smaller girl.
"I trained all last night and I was finally able to do it, though it's not as big as Kakashi-san's and I can only preform it once."
Sasuke stared at Yuzuki a feint smirk on his lips, 'She'll be an good opponent for a spar, better then these two' he thought as he leaned back in the tree.
"That's great Yuzuki-chan! I bet it's strong, datte bayo!" Naruto grinned as he gave the girl a thumbs up.
Yuzuki giggled lightly but a yawn stopped her.
"Maybe you should take a nap Yuzuki-chan since you've been training all night, and Kakshi-sensei probably won't come in a while," Sakura commented knowing how the silver haired jounin worked.
Yuzuki rubbed her head tiredly and leaned against the tree, "Please wake me up when Kakashi-sensei comes," she whispered and closed her eyes.
The three genins watched in awe as the female's breathing quickly evened out as she fell asleep.
Naruto slightly poked her on the cheek in amazement, "She's already knocked out," he stated.
Sakura giggled and watched Yuzuki, "She doesn't look our age, at first glance she'll look like a newly turned academy student.
Sasuke slightly nodded to himself agreeing, she just looked so... Young.... No, that's not the right word, innocent, no, that doesn't work either.
A sudden word popped in all three of the genin's head.
Pure.
She was pure. Yes innocent, but everything of her made you think of pure white.
'She's definitely not like the girls in Konoha' all three of them thought glancing at the girl.
>>TIME SKIPS>>
Sakura gently nudged Yuzuki as she caught sight of their late sensei. The small brunette groaned and nudged her head into the jacket Naruto let her barrow.
"Your late Sensei," Naruto grumbled as he lightly glared at the silver haired jounin. Kakashi only gave him a closed eye smile before looking back at his book.
Sasuke who was perched on a branch glared at Kakshi before jumping off landing in front of Naruto.
"Yuzuki-chan, wake up, sensei is here," Sakura softy said as she continue to shake the girl.
Yuzuki groaned again and opened her eyes slowly.
"Uh, Kakashi-San is here?" She tiredly questioned as she rubbed the sleep of her eyes.
Sakura and Naruto couldn't help but think the small action was cute and stared at the girl. Kakashi also stared at Yuzuki with a feint smile.
Sasuke on the other hand decided to ignore the girl and stared at the clouds quite similar to what the lazy Shikamaru does.
Kakshi then closed his book and out it into his breast pocket, "Alright, Hokage-sama hasn't gave us a mission today so we'll be training," he then looked at Yuzuki, "Were you able to preform the jutsu I taught you?" He question. He was expecting a no but frowned when Yuzuki gave him a curt nod.
'Impossible, I thought she had water nature chakra' Kakashi thought with a unnoticeable frown.
"Meet me at the lake," Kakashi unemotionally said before disappearing with a white cloud.
The four children quickly got up and walked to the Uchiha compound were the lake was located. The silver haired jounin was lazily waiting for them.
"Ok, Yuzuki show me," Kakashi commanded.
The brown haired girl nodded and walked on the wooden dock. There was a light breeze swaying her short hair.
'Ok, I can do this' she mentally told herself. She slapped her hands together doing the hand sign at a medium pace.
She felt the little chakra she had gather at her stomach, giving her a familiar tingly feeling. The heat was starting to get uncomfortable when she finished the hand signs. With a determined look she breathed out a medium sized fire ball making it cross the lake.
Sasuke and Kakashi watched slightly impressed.
'It's not that strong, but she was able to perform it' Kakashi thought.
Sasuke frowned and looked away. 'Why was she able to preform it in one day? It took me such a long time' he walked away and jumped into a tree.
"Wow! Yuzuki-chan! That was awesome!" Naruto screamed as he ran up to an already tired looking girl.
Yuzuki weakly smiled but slightly wobbled. Kakashi's eyes widen as he shot forward.
Sakura and Naruto gasped as Yuzuki fell over the small deck heading towards the water. Kakashi jumped and caught her before she landed and stood on water with Yuzuki in his arm.
He sighed in relief and looked at the brown haired girl in his arm.
"ZZZ-Zzzz- No mo-ZZzz- can't.... eat...Zzzzzzz..."
The silver haired jounin sweat dropped and walked onto land.
From the tree he was perched, Sasuke watched his sensei carry the girl. His onyx eyes showed no emotion as he watched his teammate panic.
"Sensei is she ok?" Sakura questioned worriedly. Her green eyes held concern for the smaller girl.
Kakashi nodded and walked to a near by tree. He gently placed her down and let her lean onto a tree.
"She's just tired, let her sleep for a hour or so and we'll wake her up," Kakashi smiled and pulled out his book.
"You three lets start training."
