CHAPTER 1

GIRLS P.O.V

Feeling the hot heat I slowly opened my eyes feeling dizzy from the abuse I got earlier from the villagers.

My eyes widen taking in the sight in front of me. The village I grew up in was dancing in bright orange fire. The ground was covered in familiar crimson liquid I always was covered in. People were scattered on the ground dead, injuries that made my stomach turn.

"W-what?" I whispered as I slowly stood up feeling a sharp pain in my leg. I look down and see my right leg twisted in an irregular way. Yup, broken.

"Kekekeke, I see we have a surviver here," a low creepy voice said behind me making me flinch.

I slowly turn around looking for the owner of the voice wincing a little as my weight went on my injured leg.

I see a tall pale skin man with long black hair looking at me with interest. I felt the fear and absolute terror overwhelm me. Something is definitely wrong about this man, everything about him screamed danger. Suddenly I felt a light prick in my eyes making me wince.

Did I get something in them? I blinked few times feeling the pain ease a bit.

He suddenly gasps and he grins creepily, "Those eyes!"

I slowly take a step back feeling scared at this strange man, I didn't miss his hands were covered in blood and I was sure it wasn't his.

"Keke, I see there still was an survived in that clan," he chuckled as he looked at me with amusement, "but it looks like you still haven't unlocked your power yet, I don't have use to you yet," he muttered as he pulled out a ninja kunai knife.

I took a step back feeling the fear of death as the man threw the kunai at me in amazing speed. I try to jump out of the way but the broken leg drags me down making the sharp knife hit my left arm.

I cry out in pain and quickly pull it out all bloodied.

"Kukuku, we'll see again child, next time we do I expect you to mastered the Kekkei Genkai," he whispered before he disappeared making me fall to my knees in pain and fear.

"I-I need to get help," I told myself as I dragged myself off the ground. I looked back at the village and whimpered.

All those lives, even if somebody was alive from that creepy man's attacks, nobody could survive those flames, those red heat are already covering the whole village.

I gave the burning village a last look before dragging myself into the first searching for the closest village.

The pain in my arm and legs were almost unbearable, I bit my lip feeling self pity, why does it always happen to me, why do they all hate?

Taking painful deep breaths I walk on the dirt path I found earlier that day. I suddenly see a large gate making me feel a small relief, maybe, I'll be saved.

I slowly drag my feet towards the gate and take a closer look.

"Ko- Kono- Konoha?" I slowly read with the little knowledge I have. I've heard that name before, wasn't one of the villagers talking about it before?

Suddenly I see two people in green vest in front of me in fighting crouch.

"Who are you! What business do you have?" One of the men with long spiky black hair and a strip of bandage running across the bridge of his nose asked his kunai in hand.

"P-Please, help me! My village got attacked and-and I'm the onl-" I started to say until the sudden jerk of my feet making me scream out in pain, collapsing onto the floor.

I felt the blood from the left arm polling on the ground beside me, the feeling of lightheadedness came back at full force. I felt my vision blur and felt unusual sick.

Feeling arms around my limp body made me tense, "Hang on kid!" I heard the another guy say as he knelt next to me.

The pain that was dull earlier suddenly increased making me start to see dark dots.

"-id! KID! STAY AWAKAE, KID!" The first guy yelled as he lightly picked me up. I started feel the pain side away and felt my eyes droop, seconds later I was knocked out.

THIRD PERSON P.O.V

"Hokage-sama! Hokage-sama!" Izumo yelled as he ran into the building and ran into the third hokage's room without bothering to knock.

"Izumo! Where's your respect?!" Ibiki bellowed as he glared at the panicked chunin.

"I'm terribly sorry, but Hokage-sama, it's an emergency!" Izumo cried as he walked towards the Hokage.

Sarutobi looked worriedly at the chunin and nodded to continue.

"At the gate a mysterious girl appeared with brutal injury claiming her village getting attacked," Izumo explained.

"What shou-" Izumo was caught off with the Hokage suddenly standing up.

"Is she located at the hospital right now?" Sarutobi quickly asked.

"Kotetsu took her there as soon as she passed out!" Izumo and Ibiki quickly caught up to the elderly man who was rushing to the hospital.

"Did she say anything about what village she's from?"

"She couldn't finish what she was saying since she collapse to the ground from the injury." Izumo explained as he ran.

"Girl you say, but around what age?" Ibiki asked sounding a bit suspicious.

"Young, around twelve or thirteen, I'm surprise she's alive with all the injury she had when she came," Izumo muttered feeling the small prick of sadness seeing such a young girl injured in such a brutish way.

Sarutobi shook his head in anger, why are children always victims of such pain?

GIRLS P.O.V

Hearing a constant light beep, I opened my eyes. Everything was bright, making me squint my eyes, trying to adjust to the light.

"I see your awake," a voice said to my right making me jump. I winced at my sudden act, everything was so sore.

"Ugh, it hurts," I groan as I slowly shift, I closely take in my surroundings, I don't know this place, "Where am I?" I muttered.

The elderly man who talked earlier chuckled as he took a step closer to me, "Your in Konoha's hospital young lady,"

I slowly nodded as I examined the elderly man closer, he was a light skinned man with spiky gray hair.

"M-May I ask who you are?" I quietly asked feeling the memory of yesterday come back. He looked kindly at me as he crouched down so he was directly looking at me.

"My name is Hiruzen Sarutobi, I'm currently the Hokage of this village, young one," he smiled making the wrinkle on the corner of his eyes lift up.

I nodded and bowed to him lowly, "Thank you for helping me Hokage-sama."

"Now that you know me please tell me your name."

I frowned and looked up to the man who only showed me kindness, "Hokage-sama, I do not have a name," I stated as I looked down at my hands in shame.

Hokage-sama looked startled as he looked at me with a sorrowful look, "Than what have people been calling you young lady," he asked as he sat down on the bed.

"People in the village often called me trash or girl when they talked to me," I mutter.

"What village were you from?"

"A nameless village near Konoha, though the people who live there call it the hidden forest's village," I explain as I look at my hands.

The old man nods as he yells, "Ibiki! Take few anbu with you and go to the hidden forest's village right now, see what kind of condition it is in right now," A tall man with a black cloth covering his head and a headband on top of it suddenly appeared as he knelt next to Hokage-sama.

"Yes, Hokage-sama, is it really safe to leave this girl here?" He asked as he looked at me suspiciously making me cringe from his stare.

"Ibiki! She is harmless! Now go!" Hokage-sama commanded making the man named Ibiki give me a final look before disappearing into thin air.

"Ok, now young lady, I think we should at least give you a name," Hokage-sama stated as he patted me on the head making me flinch a little, "Little one what do you like in the world?" He suddenly asked making me tilt my head.

I thought carefully remembering all the things I have seen, "I like the moon, Hokage-sama," I finally said after thinking for a bit.

Hokage-sama nodded in understanding and thought for a while, "What made you like the moon?"

I remembered the night after I got punched by the drunk villagers, after all the abuse I remember the moon gently shingling on me making me see a bit of hope.

"Unlike the sun it glows lightly because its a secondary light. It makes me feel like it gently wrapped around me when I needed hope," I quietly whispered making the Hokage-sama to look at me curiously.

He again thought for a while until he suddenly smiled at me, "What about Yuzuki? In kanji it's written like 優月, it means gentle moon."

Yuzuki, was that going to be my name from now on?

I slowly nodded my head, "Yuzuki," the name slowly rolled off my tongue.

I smiled at elderly man, "Thank you Hokage-sama I love it!"

The Hokage-sama smiled at me and patted my head, "Now, if you could can you tell me what happened to your village Yuzuki?"

I frowned and looked at the old man in fear.

"I-It was a tall pale man, h-he had shoulder length black hair with a purple stash," I whispered remembering the man who injured me this bad.

I took a cautious look at the Hokage and saw his eyes were clouded with worry.

"Yuzuki, what happened?"

I took a quick breath, "At the village there's some people who abuse me, yesterday some of the ninja's that were drunk started to hit and abuse me and left me out in the woods after I fell unconscious..." I clench my hand in sadness and anger, "I woke up feeling extremely hot, when I was able to open my eyes I saw the village on fire. B-Bodies, it was everywhere, blood s-so much blood..." I mutter feeling my body shake.

Hokage-sama looked at me sadly and held my hand, "If it is too much, don't talk, Yuzuki"

I shook my head and continued, "When I was looking at it burn, that man, he came up to me. He said I was the only survivor,"

I thought for a moment, he knew something about me.

"He said something about my eyes, and how I haven't unlocked some power and he still had no use to me yet," Hokage-sama stiffened as he stared at me in horror.

He opened his mouth to say something but no words came out.

Then the man who came earlier poofed into the room standing next to Hokage-sama.

"Hokage-sama, everything is gone sir, no survivors,"

Hokage-sama nodded and looked at me kindly, "Alright Yuzuki, I need to go now but I will come visit you tomorrow, and then we could talk about where you can live,"

"Live?" I asked tilting my head to the side.

"Yes from today on, you are a citizen of Konoha.
