Why is everything so complicated? My life was so much better without Niall in it.

No drama. No kiss. No hate.

Just peace.

Maybe I should play some guitar?

Yeah. I've been singing and playing guitar more often lately.

The lessons Niall gave me actually helped me...

Before I could continue, Amber blasted into my room.

"What?" I asked her, and she was smiling widely.

"It's true!" She said and I gave her a look.

"What's true?" I asked her again.

"Josh and Niall said you were an amazing singer! And you are! You should so try out for X-Factor!" She squealed and I rolled my eyes.

"Yes, so Simon can embarrass me in front of the whole world, and crush my dreams." I said as a matter of factly.

"What?!" She said in disbelief. "You're amazing Taylor! If Simon says something I will personally go up to him and slap him silly. I'll punch him if I have to." She said seriously.

I gave her a look, but then we both started laughing.

"Please?" She begged giving me puppy eyes.

"No." I said bluntly.

"But my birthday is coming up! Do it for me!" She said and I giggled.

"I'll think about it alright? Only if you get out if here so I can rehearse." I threatened and she ran off.

Oh Amber...

Was I really that good? Nah, what am I talking about?! I probably suck. There's definitely going to be a lot better people there than me. I'll sound horribly awful compared to some other people...

But you know what they say, you'll never know until you try.

I think that's what they say.. The point is maybe I should try...

~One Month Later~

Niall and me are still not friends. Thankfully.

Josh and me are still best buds. He's been really awesome and nice to me.

Tina ended up being a loner. She and her one friend: Maddie.

And Niall...he has his football friends. He's tried to talk to me quite a lot of friends, but I can't let him in again. He's the reason to all my drama.

I don't need him. I have Josh, and Harry. Harry and me stayed in contact.

We don't really see each other as he lives in Manchester, but it's nice to have someone to text and stuff.

A long distance friend.

Oh and my YouTube video? It went pretty good actually.

I have a couple thousand views. Some comments actually made me feel pretty crappy at some points but...everyone has the haters right?

I'm trying out for the X-Factor.

In fact...I'm on my way right now. 

In the car, on my way to The X-Factor.

I'm really nervous. Heck, I feel like I'm gonna pee on stage the second I see the judges! But I'm doing it anyways. If I want to get somewhere, I need to work for it.

And my YouTube fan base is awesome. I actually uploaded a lot of other videos after my first one, it's actually fun to do it.

They call themselves TayTays. It's a pretty funny but ok. 

"Oh my gosh I can't believe we're actually going to be on TV!" Amber squealed.

"Wow. Seriously? Thanks for the support." I said sarcastically giggled.

"Of course, I also think Taylor is going to do absolutely great!" She said and I just shook my head laughing a bit.

Here I am. About to walk on the X-Factor stage.

The butterflies in my stomach won't stop. My hands feel sweaty and I can't think straight.

What if I pass? What if I actually far in the competition.

What will happen? Will I become famous? Will I still be best friends with Josh?

"Taylor Brooks. You're next. Good luck." The man working there told me. I nodded.

I looked back at my family who were smiling widely and giving me thumbs up.

'You'll do great.' Amber mouthed and I smiled at her.

That girl got me here. She owes me big time if I don't pass this audition...

"Hello darling, what's your name?" Simon asked me as I walked on stage.

I looked up and saw all the people. I saw that cameras everywhere.

I gulped down my fears. I need to do this.

"Taylor Brooks." I said and they smiled at me the way the smile at everyone else.

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's you. You're amazing" I said, a little starstruck when I saw Katy Perry sitting there as a judge.

"Irish aren't you?" Simon asked and I nodded, smiling.

"Yes. A hundred percent Irish." I said and the crowd and the judges laughed.

I didn't see what was so funny but I laughed along. At least this is a good start right?

" Awh thank you! And what will you be singing today?" Katy (Yes Katy Perry) asked me.

"Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars." I said and they nodded.

The music began and I started singing.

"And when you smile, the whole stops and stares for a while cuz boy you're amazing just the way your aaaaree!!" I held the note and I had forgotten I was out there.

I was so caught up in the song.

The whole crowd cheered and I kept singing.

By the time I was done, i just wanted to run off the stage and leave.

I liked the crowds reaction, but what if the judges rejected me?

"Taylor!" Cheryl said. "You have such a beautiful voice!" She said and I smiled widely.

"Thank you." I said.

"I agree with Cheryl. I love your voice, it's so soft, but I love how you can make it sound so powerful at the same time." Louis said.

"Now I'm the one who thinks you're amazing." Katy said and everyone laughed.

"Simon?" Louis asked.

"I actually think you're not that bad." He said with that accent of his and I wanted to erupt of happiness.

SIMON COWELL DOESN'T THINK I'M THAT BAD!!!

"It's a yes for me." Cheryl said.

"Yes!" Louis said.

"Of course it's a yes!" Katy said.

The whole crowd waited for Simon's answer.

Everyone waited. They didn't speak. They didn't move. It almost seemed like they weren't even breathing.

"Yes." He said and I squealed with joy.

"Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much!! I can't believe it! I promise I won't let you down!" I said and ran off the stage.

"Ahhhhh!!!" My family yelled and attacked me with hugs.

"I'm going to boot camp!" I said happily.

"I told you. You owe me twenty bucks." Amber told my dad.

"You made a bet?!" I asked them.

"No, we didn't. Amber I owe you nothing." My dad said laughing and she pouted.

I can't believe it...I'm going to boot camp.

"Next up, Niall Horan." The dude said and my eyes widened.

I turned around to see the person I didn't expect to be here.

"Niall?!" I blurted.

"Taylor." he said smiling a bit. Probably at the fact I actually talked to him.

Oh well.

"You were great out there." He added and I just mumbled a 'thanks.'

"I can't believe it." I said.

"What can't you believe? The fact that I'm actually here on the same day as you or that I said you were good?" He asked, amusement written all over his face.

"Ha-ha. Very funny Horan. Break a leg." I said, and those were the last words I spoke before leaving.

I watched him on the TV screen. Even though we weren't friends, I wanted to see how he did.

I watched the whole thing and then the judges gave their opinion.

Come on Katy. Say yes... I thought to myself.

No, I don't like him. But he's still good and as much as I hate to say this, I think he should pass.

"Yes." She said and Niall jumped with joy.

I guess I'll just have to see how it all goes from here...

Niall and me on the same show? That sounds like fun...Notice my sarcasm.

"I'm so happy for you!" Josh said, hugging the life out of me.

"Thanks J." I said and he smiled down at me.

"But if you become famous, promise me you'll let me be your drummer?" He said and I giggled at my best friend's request.

"You know, I haven't even gotten through boot camp and you're already planning out future...I like how you work mate! You're pre-hired!" I said jokingly and we both laughed.

"And I can't believe Niall AND Harry are on the show." He said and I choked on the piece of chocolate I was eating.

"What?! " I asked and he chuckled at my reaction.

"Yes, you heard me right. They both passed." He said and I just sat there.

"Well this is going to be an interesting journey..." I said and he nodded.

"Heck yeah.." He agreed.

Guys so like my birthday was on tuesday and then like it was my orchestra concert at school so i didnt really do anything. I just went to eat to thus place afterwards and there was like fondue and stuff and it was really good and then my dad ordered lobster and it was like this huge shrimp and i didnt like it so like everyone was like yeah but lobster is really expensive how can u not like it and im like idc Its gross people!
